My family was craving desserts and we ended up here. We weren't even specifically craving for Mexican dessert/snacks until we saw the good ratings of this place and reviews. The last time I smothered myself in hot Cheetos with cheese was in High School, so this quick trip was well worth. Who's a tajin lover? My husband is and he ordered himself a mangonada while I ordered myself some cheetos locos and fresas con crema. My husband would rate his mangonada here a 7 out of 10 while I rate my orders a 8 out 10. The only minuscule flaw my husband mentioned was that they put too much of the tamarind candy that made it hard to chew but overall it was good. I didn't want any jalapeños on my hot cheetos when you're suppose to but it was still good, and as for the fresas con crema, I never had it before, so it was interesting to eat strawberries with milk and yogurt ( I think that's what's in it). The service here was friendly and quick. The environment was very clean, it felt very comforting inside, almost like walking into a fresh, warm bakery. You should come try this place out if you haven't so, it won't disappoint.

I loveee it! I was visiting out of town and really craved for a raspados and they have so many options here and also so many ice cream. It seems like they make the ice cream themselves? But I had one and it tastes soooo good. I got the strawberry yogurt one. But my favorite was the vanilla raspado My least favorite was the corn because it just wasn't that seasoned (not much mayo)

I went here on May 29 at 8. There was a girl working who put too much chamoy/sauce on the taki locos and tosti locos that we ordered. First, I come here often because they do sell delicious things. But this experience was horrible. We couldn't finish what we bought, which was $40, because they almost gave us chamoy soup. This comment is for the owner, not for you not to try this place. I understand if she went overboard with the chamoy the first time, but she did it with both tostilocos that were inedible. Here I put photos to show what I'm talking about. We couldn't enjoy what we paid for.

On a hot day like today a nice paleta and agua fresca from here go a long way! We stopped by today for an agua de Limon con Chia, Paleta de Tamarindo and Fruta Picada. The person helping us was very attentive and helpful and we were quickly enjoying our delicious snacks. Definitely stop by when you need a mid-day refreshing pick me up.

    Mangonada

I miss the old owners they made everything with love and just perfect. Now the new owners don't make the Mangonada anywhere close to what I am use to. When I use to get them they loaded it up equal amounts of ice cream nice size ripe mangos and filled it to the top now it's little ice cream, overly big pieces of mangos and barley comes up past the lid. It has gone downhill will be finding another place to go.

First time visiting this place and I will be returning for the raspado de vanilla. The workers speak Spanish and English - invaluable skill. The prices are very reasonable for the portions I got and they take Apple Pay. The inside is very colorful. They have a huge selection of paletas which unfortunately I couldn't buy since I'm heading back to Vegas.

Very patient staff, took me and my boyfriend quite a long time to decide but they were very patient with us and the food was delicious. Very fresh too.

We asked for a raspado and it was simple no flavor as to what we asked for. Paletas have too much food coloring.

We ordered the Dust Storm: a vanilla milkshake with chocolate bits, topped with a giant blondie skewered dramatically on top, plus whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate drizzle. The rim of the jar was coated in marshmallow dip and graham cracker crumbs because apparently subtlety has left the chat. Honestly, the presentation was on point and exactly the kind of milkshake kids dream about. Which is why we ordered it. My tween declared it "the best milkshake I've ever seen in my life," and honestly, that alone made it worth the stop on our mother-daughter trip. Taste-wise, it leaned very sweet for me and didn't have a ton of flavor depth beyond sugar overload. But clearly the goal here is maximal fun and aesthetic, and they absolutely nailed that. It's basically a photo op you can drink. The shop itself was surprisingly quiet when we visited in the evening--we had the whole place to ourselves--but there were games to play while waiting for our order (we pulled out Pick Up Sticks, which transported me straight back to my 90s childhood living room). The ladies at the counter were also incredibly kind and patient explaining the menu and flavors to us. If you're looking for an over-the-top dessert experience your kids will talk about for days, this is your place.

Tucked inside the Reno Public Market, this hidden gem features a menu with fresh froyo, smoothies, crepes and other sweet treats. I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable their froyo was (especially considering the inflation of prices at commercial froyo places), and how each cup comes with THREE free toppings! The flavor menu is quite limited, but we LOVED the pomegranate raspberry flavor, which is dairy-free, and didn't taste artificial at all. The only thing I think can be improved on is the service - the employee working seemed more focused on aesthetics rather than providing good customer service. While we were there, we were waiting for her to adjust her Christmas lights/decor and take photos (presumably for Yelp/social media). I'm a camera eats first gal so I totally get it - but that can probably be saved for after the customers leave. Nevertheless, I appreciate how she took a lot of care to carefully make our froyo, and didn't skimp at all on the yogurt or the toppings!

I was surprised to see this place as I've driven by this strip of businesses many times and never noticed this particular spot. They offer homemade treats, but mostly ice cream. They have an almost unmatched selection of non-dairy ice creams and sorbets. A nice surprise. The gentleman helping us was very nice and gave us a full rundown of how they make everything in house. He offered samples and suggestions. I sampled the flavor of the week, Lavender Honey Matcha, and the coconut cream coffee. My kids decided on the mango sorbet and the classic strawberry. Everything was delicious. The coconut cream ice cream had great flavor and texture given that it was non dairy. My wife and I decided on the matcha flavor of the week. It was very refreshing. The strawberry had real chunks of strawberry which is always a treat. My biggest critique is the texture of the ice cream. This stuff seemed very crumbly. I prefer a much more "chewy" or "sticky" ice cream if that makes sense. This stuff was more "dry" and less "creamy". There are some other local shops in the area that make great ice cream exactly how I like it, which is the only reason for 4 stars. I'm not sure this would be my top place for ice cream again. The smallest "one scoop" size is actually nearly two full scoops. Could be a good thing for some, but a kids scoop is always appreciated for my toddlers, especially a a slightly discounted price. That is not an option here. There are a few small tables inside to enjoy your treats and lots of to-go options which is always nice. The place was clean and well decorated. It was steadily busy while we visited, indicating that this place is likely here to stay. Overall, worth stopping in if you're in the area. The flavors are unique and tasty and the non-dairy selection is fantastic.

They also sell soaps and bath products shaped like realistic desserts, which I love and thought were such a cute touch. My daughter chose the pink strawberry ice cream with the pink strawberry cone. The flavor was great. It tasted fresh with real pieces of strawberry throughout and nothing artificial-tasting. I also liked that the cone itself had strawberry flavor woven into it rather than just being dyed pink or coated in toppings. I originally planned to get a second flavor to try, but the single scoop cone was over $10 so we decided to just share. We also came after seeing an Instagram post about their seasonal Lucky Charms cone and thought it included the ice cream shown in the photo, but it turned out to just be the cone. The advertising appeared to be made with AI and, for that reason, was a bit misleading when it came to representation of the ice cream available. Parking was probably the biggest challenge. The lot is very small and with the one-way directions in the lot, and around the block, it took a bit to find a spot. Inside there are only a few seats. There were four stools at a counter, and with another family there we ended up sharing a single bar stool. The bright interior makes it a place you want to hang out, but the limited seating makes that tricky. Still, the ice cream itself was very good and it was a fun outing with my daughter.
