I came in on July 20 for their National Ice Cream day special: "Stuff your Stanley". Any kind of stanley-like tumbler got 4 scoops of ice cream for $10! It was busy when I first got there, but the two employees were hustling hard through the line. They kept their upbeat friendliness for each and every customer. I learned the ice cream is made in Minden! As my scoops I got: Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Espresso Chip and Birthday Cake. As of this review, I've only made it through Birthday Cake and Espresso Chip. Birthday cake: 10/10! The BEST cake flavored ice cream I've ever tasted. Espresso Chip: 4/10. It had a bitter/sour taste, and as a coffee fan, this did not hit my palette well. I don't know if it was because it followed the super sweet Birthday cake, or if just was too bitter in general. So personal preference on taste. Overall, a cute little shop in Midtown! Midtown parking is a hassle, but the shop is walkable from just about anywhere in the area.
Super cute little ice cream shop in Midtown! The vibe is friendly and inviting, and the unique flavors + waffle cones make it a fun stop for an afternoon treat. The Lemon Berry Bliss (lemon poppyseed) was bright, refreshing, and perfect for citrus lovers--I had it on a blueberry cobbler waffle cone and loved the combo. My niece went all in with the Fruity Pebbles cone and rainbow flavors, and it was just as fun (and tasty) as it sounds. Definitely recommend sampling a few flavors before you commit--they've got some creative options! That said... I spent $24 for two waffle cones, which feels steep for ice cream. Delicious, yes, but definitely more of a once-in-a-while splurge than an everyday stop. Still, a sweet little spot worth checking out if you're in Midtown.

What can I really say here, the ice cream flavors rule, the cones are absolutely unmatched, and the coolest part??? They actually follow their hours and are open when they are supposed to be. Some other local ice cream spots should take note.
Almost a 4. Cute shop with lots of pink and sprinkles. They were busy but staff was friendly and efficient. Spumoni and coconut in strawberry shortcake cone. Ice cream was good and creamy textured. Not overly sweet. I love the concept of the dipped/flavored cones. I wanted to try the lemon but they were out.
This is the most adorable ice cream shop! Choice of flavored cones and some of the best ice cream I've ever tasted. I chose the pistachio cones with lemon poppyseed ice cream and a blueberry syrup topping. So good and the cone itself was so good that you could eat it alone-tasted just like pistachios. Service was great and they also sell fun novelty items. Perfect place to visit-especially in summer!
Such a delightful little ice cream shop! The ice cream was absolutely delicious, the shop itself was adorable and bright, and the prices were surprisingly fair. The woman behind the counter (who I assume is the owner) was so sweet and accommodating to my 3-year-old's urgent potty needs, and we were really grateful for her kindness. The only suggestion I'd make is to offer a more toddler-friendly seating option. The high stools by the window were a bit tricky for my little one to sit on comfortably. Other than that, a fantastic experience--we'll definitely be back!
I was super excited to try this place and my husband and I went here after trying tasty pot and we were not disappointed! They have so many awesome ice cream flavors, cones, toppings and candies! They also have merch and cute little trinkets you can buy- they even have treats for your pets! There was only one person working and it was BUSY but he was very kind and polite and even gave us a few samples when we asked. This place has a lot of choices for anyone to be able to satisfy their sweet tooth craving, whatever it may be!
Oh Sugar blvd, you have my heart! After hearing great things about this adorable ice cream shop, we decided to finally visit, and they did not disappoint! They have a mix of traditional and really interesting flavors, and we loved every bit of what we got. I ordered the Biscoff cookie in a waffle cone with cookie butter drizzle, which was heavenly! We also had the Lemon poppyseed with blueberry drizzle in a pistachio cone, and it was light, refreshing and the flavors paired so well together. I also really loved the lavender sample, but I am going to have to get that one next time because I couldn't eat anything else. Super sweet staff, adorable decor and of course delectable ice cream makes this a total stand out in the ice cream shop world!
So very happy we found this place. My wife expressed we have found our new favorite ice cream shop! Lots of unique flavors of ice cream and certainly more flavors of waffle cones than I have ever seen. I went with the espresso flavor and my wife chose fruity pebbles waffle cone with her peach ice cream. I gotta say this is a great find for me in Midtown. A few doors down from Tasty Pot. Service was fast and very helpful. Want a taste of something just ask! Loved the decor and unique offerings- like bath bombs. I would highly recommend and our ice cream was excellent!
What can I say , I'm a huge ice cream lover ! They have a large variety of flavors and flavored chocolate covered waffle cones to choose from. My favorite would be lavender . Regardless of the long line today, the staff was speedy and was kind. When you walk in , all you can think is ice cream , the ambiance screams ice cream , since all the decor and designs are ice cream related !
Sugar why must you close?! Literally the best ice cream and of course custom cones in Reno! Im not really sure how I am going to live without another one of your strawberry shortcake cake cones. Im really hoping for a miracle that you change your mind about closing. read more
I recently took my 3-year-old on an outing to check out Sugar Blvd Ice Cream Shop. The space is hard to miss! The interior is completely pink and very fun. They also sell soaps and bath products shaped like realistic desserts, which I love and thought were such a cute touch. My daughter chose the pink strawberry ice cream with the pink strawberry cone. The flavor was great. It tasted fresh with real pieces of strawberry throughout and nothing artificial-tasting. I also liked that the cone itself had strawberry flavor woven into it rather than just being dyed pink or coated in toppings. I originally planned to get a second flavor to try, but the single scoop cone was over $10 so we decided to just share. We also came after seeing an Instagram post about their seasonal Lucky Charms cone and thought it included the ice cream shown in the photo, but it turned out to just be the cone. The advertising appeared to be made with AI and, for that reason, was a bit misleading when it came to representation of the ice cream available. Parking was probably the biggest challenge. The lot is very small and with the one-way directions in the lot, and around the block, it took a bit to find a spot. Inside there are only a few seats. There were four stools at a counter, and with another family there we ended up sharing a single bar stool. The bright interior makes it a place you want to hang out, but the limited seating makes that tricky. Still, the ice cream itself was very good and it was a fun outing with my daughter. read more

I'm sorry for whatever reason this is but I hope you open a food truck or something your flavors are amazing and where else can you find these specialty cones. Love this place! I found about it during the yelp 100 food crawl and Ive been back twice after that. My go to is the lemon poppy ice cream! It is a absolutely delicious. They also have a great variety of toppings and waffle The staff is always so friendly and attentive. Definitely give this place a try! read more
Excellent!!!!! They feature LOCAL Hotch Family Ice Cream out of Minden, about 30-40 flavors! That makes it the largest choice and tastes of Hotch Family Ice Cream in Nevada. Interior is bright and beautiful. Many custom, in house made waffle cones that are over the top and epic! Limited seating, but a nice place with cool owners. You can also buy pints of the ice cream to take home! read more
Sugar Blvd is the latest and greatest thing to hit Reno since the last major snow storm of the year long winter of 2023. Freaking Five Star tasty Yelpstars. I had one scoop of Chocolate Fudge Brownie in a chocolate peanut butter cone! So delicious and I'm so freaking full off one scoop, yet I'm a 5 scoop sized boy! Super clean scoop shop that's locally owned and operated by an awesome mother and daughter! Chris G will be coming back for some super tasty scoop shop action! 5 stars! First of all, how cute is this ice cream place?! SUPER CUTIE-LICIOUS! After my family and I had some Tasty Pot next door, we craved some sweet and went next door. Best idea to have it next to a soup place, what's more cooler than salt and sweet being next door to each other right?! The workers were so welcoming and also offered to take a picture of us eating our ice cream. The options of ice cream they had were very quite neat. They also offer samples! My husband and I ordered a red velvet waffle cone with a scoop of chocolate and pistachio ice cream and it was very creamy and delicious! Will be coming back here. Let's talk about devine ice cream. Sugar Blvd is tucked in the back of The Stix in Midtown. Easy to see from Center Street. Some street and lot parking. Newly opened and I have dropped in twice this week. Sampled the lemon poppy seed ice cream and wow. Bright, light lemony flavor was like a frozen poppy seed muffin. Jasmine highly recommends trying it in the blueberry cone. Can you imagine ? Her posted creation that I tried today was right in the mark. Salted caramel delight started with a fresh house made chocolate waffle cone, then a healthy scoop of chocolate fudge brownie followed by another huge scoop of salted caramel, then drizzled with salted caramel AND chocolate sauces. Doesn't that just say it all ? The cone was fabulously crisp and delicate. The ice cream flavors perfectly rich. And the smart cone holder- loved. I was able to enjoy the cone at leisure and not have one drip anywhere. Family owned, I saw Jasmine again today and met mom. They also offer some cute gifts- bath bombs and magnets that look like delicious popsicles and other sweet treats. Bagged goodies of popcorn, mini cookies and candy. Definitely returning. read more
I was literally just saying that Reno doesn't have enough good ice cream spots then BAM--Sugar Blvd opened! There's something so wonderful about a stand alone ice cream shop that has the classics but also a little creativity...which is exactly what this place is. I'm always looking for good waffle cones, and this meets the mark: they specialize in specialty cones! I tried the caramel coconut fudge cone and WOW WOW WOW it was so good! I got cookie dough ice cream and my only complaint was that there was hardly any cookie dough and not very flavorful, so I will try another flavor next time (I also know they don't make the ice cream but get it from the Hoch family). I also really loved that they gave us cone protectors--it helped the cookie pieces from falling to the ground and saved my hands from being sticky. If you're looking for a sweet treat--especially in Midtown--this is the place for you! read more

The cutest ice cream in town! From the moment heading up to the door you can see 2 planters outside with beautiful flowers, the planters are in the shape of ice cream cones and the flowers are the ice cream! Very adorable. Once you go inside the shop you can see all the cute pink and candy decor through out. They are known for their flavored waffle cones. We tried the strawberry ice cream on a strawberry cone, the coffee ice cream on the espresso cone and the strawberry lemonade sorbet. The ice cream is creamy, and full of flavor. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, parking can be a little challenging but there is additional parking available on the street. Make sure to check in on Yelp before you pay, you may find an extra treat. The shop is kid friendly and the ice cream is delicious. Definitely worth a try! read more

We tried this ice cream place and although I wasn't feeling adventurous and had just a cup and one scoop of icecream it was really good. My brother in law was more adventurous and I'll get a fun cone next time! I wish they had a restroom though... not many business around there were open at this time and she suggested we go to grateful gardens which was nearly closed. Cute cone flower pots outside and inside was decorated nicely. The employee was friendly and we'll be back. read more

New ice cream shop in Reno! Located at The Stix in Midtown. I first tried this place during a yelp event and I had to come back for more! They offer a variety of flavors and cones. My go to is the lemon poppyseed, so refreshing and delicious. You can also get your favorite ice cream in a pint for $10. The shop is decorated so cute and they also have little gifts you can purchase for yourself or someone else. read more

The cutest! Loved the variety of waffle cones and they sure were yummy. Really wish they had a few small tables. There was no where for us to sit so we had to eat our ice cream in the car, which was less than ideal. There is plenty of room for a few small tables... would be really nice for families of little humans. read more

Best dessert in town! The employees behind the counter was friendly and efficient, super awesome with recommendations and samples. It is adorable in here too! Very bright and colorful, just what you want from an ice cream shop. Love the small business corner too! We got a bath taffy that was super fun and smelled lovely. I got the lemon poppyseed ice cream with a pistachio cone, which was delicious and very nostalgic for me. My husband got chocolate peanut butter ice cream with peanut better topping which is truly a perfect pairing. Loved stoping in and can't wait to come back! read more
I think this is my new go-to dessert place! Everything was so delicious. You can tell that every element of this ice cream shop was intentional. The decor is adorable. Definitely insta worthy pictures on every corner. They have a flavor of the week which is a pairing of a cone and an ice cream flavor. This week was Carmel Churro. it looked so good. I ended up getting the caramel ice cream with the chocolate peanut butter cone. My friend got caught in candy ice cream with a Trix cone. The team was very thorough and explaining different combinations that people liked previously and were open to questions. They do have a small barstool area so if you come with a big Group, be prepared to stand or go for a walk with your ice cream. Will definitely be back! read more

Sugar Blvd is so much fun! We went for a birthday treat and our kids were over the moon with the pink walls, cute decor, and all the flavor options - both ice cream and cone. DELICIOUS! They have a few menu options or you can build your own cone! The wonderful ladies working offered samples and recommendations to help us decide! Can't wait to visit again! read more
