I was getting out of work late when my parents asked me to bring them some donuts.. at 7:30pm? Where am I going to find good Donuts, that are not from like Walmart lol luckily this place was open and nearby the pastries were very delicious and fairly priced. My parents were very happy... thank you

Fluffy, soft, and the most tastiest donuts i've ever had. I'm a Cali native but since moving to Reno NV, Donut Bistro is by far my favorite donut shop. && it's right next to dutch bros for a coffee and donut moment.

Because I did a DoorDash order, I am not able to review the ambiance or service. I can give credit that my order was on time and packaged well, if that helps. My delivery driver didn't have to wait long. This was my first time trying Donut Bistro. I have 3 favorite donut places, and this is now one. Mainly for the selection I received. I will need to try again for their other options. I ordered the Fancy Dozen. I wanted to treat my household because we have had a heck of a week. I wanted to be "fancy". And this was 1000% satisfactory!! Lots of filled donuts (fruit burritos)! Tasty cinnamon rolls and apple fritters! When I have a craving for big donuts, this will be my pick!

I grabbed a donut snack for my end of week treat. The chocolates frosted donut with sprinkles was a bit dry and had no chocolate flavor. The crumb donut was very delicious and airy! The checkout is always operated by a younger person who is nice. It's a donut shop so I don't expect to ever eat there but there are seats in case you choose to sit and snack. The booths are small and there are only about 5 of them.

Decided to treat my coworkers to donuts and Donut Bistro was the closest area to get some. The workers were extremely nice and recommended some tasty donuts when I didn't know which flavors to pick. The donuts weren't too expensive and taste good, as mentioned before. Even though I'm not really a donuts fan, I'd happily come back and get more just for the friendly service!

I visited this place when it first opened well over 10 years ago. I feel like it had been bigger then, but I guess that's how things always do feel! It's got some sweet donuts, baked on very soft dough and a nice bonus of hot meat buns and a few other items. It's a quiet little spot to sit and watch the traffic. While they serve coffee it's not a power house coffee stop, but it's a good place to grab some sweet breads for the local neighborhoods surrounding it!

This is our neighborhood spot for treats on the weekends! This donut shop is a classic. They offer standard donuts or special options like maple bacon glazed, cherry/apple burritos and cinnamon rolls. Always fresh! If you see the kolaches, which usually sell out quick, I highly recommend the sausage, cheese and jalapeno. Pro tip: when they ask if you want it warmed up say YES! The service here is always helpful and friendly- its a wonderful way to start your morning. The inside was recently remodeled in the last few years and they keep the spot clean as can be for folks who dine in.

I'm not crazy into sweets, but once in a great while I have a craving, and on this night - I was jonesing for a buttermilk donut. They are rather plain, but my absolute favorite. So I went on Grub Hub and I ordered two donuts, and yes, when all what said and done it was $10 - but the heart wants what the heart wants. I got notification of the delivery (quickly) and low and behold, it was a box of 12 assorted donuts. Such a kind gesture, but one that would assuredly go to waste. I just wanted the one buttermilk donut! So, I did what anyone with a box of donuts would do, I gave them to the waste management guys, and they were so grateful! My donut was delicious, and I know they were probably just giving the rest so they wouldn't have to throw them away, and thank you! They didn't go to waste.

What drew me to this Donut Bistro in Sparks of all things was I hear they offered Kolaches, an Eastern European version of a meat bun, similar I suppose to the Asian BBQ pork buns, but different European fillings. My Russian American friend was explaining them to me as she was the one that heard about them here. I pronounced them Ko LAA cheese ... like most around here seem to. I guess I was wrong as are most of the American attempts at saying this name. It's pronounced ko-la- sCHA' ... she almost didn't know what I was saying with my pronunciation .... then it was OH .... you mean ko-la -sCHA! The last syllable has sort of an "s" sound starting the CHA part. and the la in the middle is short, not LAAA but just "la". OK, so we get to Donut Bistro. They offer 3 kinds of "those meat buns", meatball, sausage with cheese and sausage with cheese and jalapeno. Damn, we're here at 7am on a Sat. and they're mostly sold out already! So, I got one of the sausage and cheese and one of the sausage and cheese with jalapeno. This place is BUSY! The small parking lot is filled with cars coming and going. We decide to get a seat and try these buns here while they're warm. I also got a bear claw. The ones they make here are not like other bear claws I ever had, these look just like human FEET! With five toes even! So looking at the Kolaches my friend comments, they don't look like any Kolache she's had before, longer and shaped like a potato. She takes a big bite into the one I gave her. "Holy sheet, vut da heal ez deez?" Um... what's wrong? "Who, da heal puts a jalapeno in a Kolache?" Good thing I googled Kolache before coming here. I found out Kolache for some reason is really big in TEXAS! and the version they have, has like a hotdog, cheese and jalapeno in it, sort of like pig in the blanket! So, this Kolache here in Reno is like the TEXAS version, not like the Eastern European kind with stewed meats, onions, cheese and sour cream. So, leave it to Texas to put jalapeno and cheddar cheese in this Kolache. The jalapeno packs a little bit of a kick too! Needless to say my friend said I could have the rest of the buns. Well, at $4.00 bucks each, I wasn't gonna throw them out ... I'll still eat them. Kolaches here at Donut Bistro may not be a fave of mine, prob won't get again, but glad I tried and was educated in what regional Kolache was coming to the USA ... Texas! Come to think of it, there are no jalapeno or spicy in Eastern European foods. We shared the bear claw, at least that was good, but surprised by apple filling in the bear claw, never had that before, it was fun to pull the "toes" off! ... I guess it's part of "regional" differences in food! "them thears Ko laa Cheese, pardner!" Google Texas Kolaches ... interesting.

This is wonderful neighborhood gem! The donuts were fresh and delicious. If you are looking for a single, half dozen, full dozen or more. I would recommend calling ahead if you want a few dozen. The shop is small and it would be a shame if they ran out of delicious donuts. Donut bistro also has some cool items on the menu. The giant donut for starters. If you know someone that would prefer a donut to a birthday cake, this you should order the giant donut. Or perhaps you just want a giant donut for yourself.... either way, go for it!!! Donut bistro also makes Kolache. Sweet or savory. The next time I am in, I want to order the jalapeño and cheese kolache! They are served hot and ready to eat. Donut bistro also has you covered on coffee or any other breakfast beverages. The parking lot is tiny. If you are driving a large or long vehicle, I would recommend parking on the street.

The maple bacon donuts are amazing! Their cake donuts are better than most donut shops too. And the guys in there super friendly.

Without getting into details, the team went above and beyond for me today and delivered genuinely world-class hospitality. The least I can do is leave a strong review for a great local small business. The quiche and the plátano latte were both excellent. The vibe is relaxed and refreshing, with a cozy, welcoming feel. They also have free Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets if you need to get work done. This is officially my go-to coffee shop in Reno. Thanks to everyone at Café con Papi!

A warm, bright spot in an otherwise bleak part of Reno…read more My wife and I needed a break from a multi-day volleyball tournament and were thrilled to find a Cuban coffee spot down the street. Immediately loved the vibe; colorful, mural filled space with many seating options, a lunch counter and an outdoor patio area. Super chill, friendly staff serving an eclectic clientele. I'd give it five stars if they were a bit more on point with the Cuban end of things. My wife and I are Anglos, but we're both Miami natives, so we're kind of purists when it comes to our Cuban stuff. This was definitely more "Latin inspired." We were looking forward to traditional pastelitos, but found they had more Mexican sweets and a guava and cheese brioche, which was delicious, but not authentic. Our Cuban sandwich had no pork and the wrong bread (and came with tortilla chips?), but the sandwich itself was quite tasty. And our cafe cubano was a nice coffee, but a bit thin and had only the amount of sugar a sane person would add, which is about a third of what would be in the real deal. So if you want authentic Cuban, this isn't really it. But if you're looking for good coffee and food served by cool people in a warm, funky environment, this place rocks.
