thin crust small (10") tandoori chicken pizza & mango lassi
Rachel Z.

i ordered a tandoori chicken and mango lassi for pickup. the service was good and the pizza just barely reached my expectations. the flavor was not overwhelming, and was somewhat more on the subtle side. although i enjoyed it, i'd probably want to try a different flavor as it was not as bold as i was expecting it to be.

Curry Pizza House is a new restaurant that aims to combine rich Indian flavors with a common food staple: pizza. After walking by this new spot so many times on the way to campus, I had to stop by to try their pizzas. I ordered through the Snackpass app, and it was ready on time. My friend and I shared a medium Tandoori Chicken Pizza. The pizza dough was solid; the crust was crispy, and the dough had a nice chew. The Tandoori Chicken pizza had the following toppings: tandoori chicken, onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Overall, the flavors of the tandoori chicken was solid, and I will be coming back to try their other flavors.

Had a big group to order for and wanted to try this new business with a generous coupon they sent to my place. Ordering online was a simple process and they even have a rewards program for future discounts. I appreciated the fact they had a wide range of offerings for everyone from folks who like classic pizzas to fusion options with Indian dishes. Very simple storefront and they were right on time making my order. Even got to meet the owner and hear his story, very kind man and even got a taste of their mango lassi. Favorites of the night was the palak paneer and butter chicken, but the desi bbq chicken and curried vegetable (spicy!) pizzas were good as well. Hoping to try their wings later on and sample other pizza creations. Would definitely visit again for the great experience I had

Happy New Year! Let's get this Yelping year off to a good start! Two of my favorite foods are pizza and Indian food, so Indian pizza? Sign me up! I had been introduced to Indian pizza when my office in San Francisco had ordered some, and I was hooked. But for whatever reason I had never thought to seek out Indian pizza in the east bay, where I live. I finally tried to give it a shot based on the enticing menu and good Yelp reviews of Curry Pizza House (Berkeley location). During our rainy, windy, and stormy January, I was reluctant to order delivery because I didn't want to put any drivers in danger, but I was also hungry! As the weather calmed down, I placed the order and provided a generous tip given the inclement weather. Via Uber Eats, I ordered three personal pizzas: butter chicken, curry veggie, tandoori chicken. And an order of Desi Spicy Pesto Sticks. Everything was very tasty, and ensured I'd be ordering from there again. I ordered three personal-size pizzas (6 small slices) in order to try different toppings and sauces. I was most excited to try the butter chicken pizza on a shahi sauce because I love butter chicken in general. Unfortunately, the pizza was not very butter chicken-y to me, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The sauce and chicken we're still nicely spiced and flavorful and tasty on its own, even though I would not not say it reminded me enough of butter chicken. The tandoori chicken pizza on a white sauce, on the other hand was, spectacular. The white sauce was mild enough to let the juicy chicken and other toppings really shine. This is a pizza I would order again for sure 10/10. The curry veggie pizza on a curry sauce was also very flavorful, and although I didn't like it as much as he tandoori chicken, I did like it more than the butter chicken. The Desi Garlic Sticks were a nice addition. Because I was filling up on all the pizzas, it was a little difficult to appreciate them, but they were tasty and had quite the kick to them, living up to their spicy name. And I like spicy, so be warned! Overall, I really enjoyed my delivery experience from Curry Pizza House and can't wait to try more of their pizzas!

Large Chicken Tikka Pizza

The Bay is certainly no stranger to fusion food: a beautiful, culinary product of the meshing of various ethnic cuisines. Sometimes fusion restaurants can be gimmicky or uninspired, but the new kid on the block, Curry Pizza House, is no such thing. As the name suggests, Curry Pizza House dishes out pies with an Indian flare. Some pizzas feature butter chicken bases or are topped with generous amounts of cubed Chicken Tikka. Regardless of which Indian pizza you order, they're bound to be a crowd-pleaser. I ordered the large Chicken Tikka pizza which was more than enough to feed two hungry students along with a Caesar salad to ease my pizza-adoring, vegetable-tolerating conscience. The pizza was amazing as was expected from a restaurant whose kitchen always emanates delicious aromas. The crust was incredibly crispy and light, and the toppings harmonized with the white sauce perfectly. What might be even more stellar is the service. The kind man who took our order and handed us our pizza treated us with immense hospitality, giving us water cups, a pizza slicer, and paper plates. Water cups usually incur a surcharge (thanks city of Berkeley), but the man happily handed us water cups gratis. There's a certain restaurant (coincidentally also on Telegraph) whose name I won't drop -but know that it rhymes with BomBom- that always has rude employees who scoff and demand $.30 when you ask for a water cups, so the Curry Pizza House employee was a breath of fresh air for me and my boyfriend. I don't mind a legally-required surcharge, but I do mind egregious service. Luckily, service is stellar at Curry Pizza House, and the food is bomb too. Will be back for the butter chicken pizza!

Desi Garlic Sticks, Half 'n' Half Pizza, Masala Chips
Jennifer T.

Stopped by because I received a coupon in the mail and my life was changed. We decided to try the desi garlic sticks, a large half and half pizza with chicken tikka and curry chicken masala, and the masala chips. The prices are a bit expensive, but it's definitely worth it for the amount of toppings they put on. The pizza crust had a great texture, the sauces underneath complemented the toppings well, and they put a lot of toppings on without it feeling overwhelming. The chips are more like slices of potato. They have a lot of spices on them and it was very delicious. Four of us ate this and felt full afterward. I will be coming back again!

I love indian twist to pizzas and this one does justice to it! The ingredients seem fresh and each bite is a burst of flavor! Also they seem to have definitely improved their pizzas from when they opened a year ago (it wasn't as interesting then and Namaste pizza was definitely better from a taste perspective) but their pizzas now have definitely seen a big boost. So if you gave up on them on their early, I'd suggest giving them another try - you won't be disappointed

Queena Z.

We ordered from here because we saw the grand opening sign and thought the food would be at its peak since it's the grand opening so they would want to have customers come back. We ordered through Snackpass and there was a 15% deal but turns out there's an even better deal if you go in person or order through the QR code in my picture for 25% off. We got an extra large half and half pizza with chicken tikka and tandoori chicken. First of all, the pizza was indeed extra large. We shared it among two people and had three slices left over. When I opened the box, I honestly thought they messed our order up because I couldn't tell if it was actually half and half. Both sides looked the same and I still have no idea even after eating it. It honestly just tasted like chicken pizza. I could taste a little bit of Indian spice flavors in some bites but it wasn't strong enough for me to distinguish. I was a bit disappointed because I thought it would taste more unique. It doesn't mean it's bad but just nothing that special. Also, they don't sell individual slices but they do have small whole pizza enough for one person.

Tiniest chicken toppings I ever seen

I've gotten pizza from this location about 4 times. This last order may be my last. What used to set this pizzeria apart was their abundant toppings. I'll attach a pic showing the tiny slivers of chicken. All I got was basically a cheese pizza. Please owners add chicken we can actually see without a magnifying glass.

My sister and I ordered the curry chicken masala pizza it was easily one of the most tasty pizzas we've ever had. It was topped with fresh red onion and cilantro and packed with flavor. We also ordered their lemon pepper wings which were delicious as well!! We can't wait to explore more of the their specialty pizzas :) Their staff and overall environment was out of this world. Everyone was so kind and it really made our day. Thank you so much & we hope to return as soon as possible!!!

BEST PIZZA EVER bro I've been studying for finals and my roommate and I were dead. This pizza brought us back to life with beautiful indulgent flavors and a wonderful after taste. My stomach did not even hurt which it usually does from pizza... but this stuff is magical. And the service was also incredible he was so sweet. eat here for life.

Chilli Paneer (small)

Delicious! It was very different and filling. I would say for pizza, it is on the pricier side, but it has good ingredients and the taste was worth it. They seem to keep the restaurant really clean which I appreciated. I would come again to try their other types of pizzas that isn't sold elsewhere!

Garlic noodles were a little oilier than average but had good flavor. There are a few tables to dine in but not many. You order at a window and go pick up from there too so there's no table service and if you need anything you need to go ask and wait in the same line people are ordering in. We split the Chicken Rice Bowl, which we got in the Sweet & Spicy flavor. The chicken was crispy and plenty saucy. It wasn't too hot at all, a nice kick in the sweet glaze. FLAVORFUL MEAT OR FLAVORFUL SAUCE…read more I've eaten here twice. The first time I passed by this place as I parked my car at the Telegraph Channing Garage. After a couple of hours roaming around the Berkeley when I headed back to my car I stopped by KoStop to eat for lunch. I ordered the medium fried chicken, but I didn't know what sauce I wanted. I asked one of the co-workers what he would recommend. He suggested sweet and spicy. I decided to order the original as I believe in order to taste how flavorful chicken wings are you need to taste it without any sauce. For the side I got pickled radish. I also decided to get a side order of cheese sticks. The pickled radish balances the oily texture from fried chicken wings and cheese sticks. I liked the breading from the fried chicken. The meat was fully cooked. However the meat tasted bland. The second time I came here was on a Sunday. After shopping for California apparel I came here for lunch as I parked my car at the Telegraph Channing Garage. As with the first visit I ordered medium fried chicken, but this time I decided to get a sauce. One of the workers said sweet and spicy is the most popular flavor. I ordered that flavor. For a beverage I ordered melon milk. The sweet and spicy has a sriracha-like taste. I thought the sweet and spicy flavor was ok. If you go to KoStop by yourself a medium order provides a satisfy portion of wings. The meat isn't dry, but it's not as moist as I like it. Overall I've eaten tastier chicken wings elsewhere.

The spicy pork bibimbap a great meal, large in size, I ended up sharing this bibimbap on order to try out other menu items. We ordered a trio of salmon, tuna and crab salad. The shell was nice and crispy, and not hard like a rice cake. And the filling was delicious. the only downside is this is messy to eat. I tried two honey butter wings, a sweet flavor, and another time I tried the "sweet cheddar". Both were excellent, hopefully I can try the Yangnyeom next time for some spicy flavor. Finally the raw salmon and onion kimbap was great. I would equally put the wings and kimbap as my third favorite for ordering. Service was fast, ordering is easy. My niece loved the crispy chicken with cheese, that she couldn't stop eating it and I admit they were addictive, so crispy but still juicy. When you get the bibimbap for takeout, they are very mindful to separate the hot from the cold portion which was great.

Here, you can adjust your spice tolerance to preference - my tolerance is high but I decided to go for the medium level. The bibimbap came out in a hot and sizzling dish so just be careful if you're sensitive to hot foods! After waiting for it to cool down a bit, I mixed the layers around and was happy to get the crunchy rice at the bottom of the dish. The chicken was a good balance of spicy but not too overpowering. Depending on the preparation, you might be used to having bibimbap with sauce that you mix in, but this variation already has everything combined within the pot. It also comes with a small side of tofu soup, which was piping hot but so worth it as it was spicy and comforting. I really enjoyed all of the bold flavors with each dish and I'm excited to come back again to try something new!

I wish the tasters were bigger, and wish they gave you something to track the different beers, because it's easy to get them mixed the way they serve them one-by-one. I wish they served them all at once as well, because I received my beers piecemeal, with one showing up 10 minutes after my other beers had arrived. On the food front, I got the al pastor fish tacos and tried the fish & chips. The Al pastor fish tacos were excellent, but the fries it came with were stale. The fish & chips were ok, a bit bland but well cooked. Like the beers, all of our food came out very piecemeal, with one item coming 10 minutes after everything else had come.
