Most recent experience: Table for 8 had 30min wait on Saturday around 6pm which is totally fine and understandable. They hold tables for 5min so your entire group needs to be present. Order was taken in about 5-10min which was great since everyone had enough time to look at the menu. Appetizers came ~5-10min Everyone else entrees (pad kee maos, noodle soup, and tofu basil rice) ~ 5-10min additional Kua Gai ~10min additional (30min at the point) And second one for some reason took another 20min so it was almost an hour for the dish to come out! At this point the entire table is done eating except one person LOL. On top of that, staff couldn't care less which is crazy that tables 5+ have mandatory tip already. Horrible service overall. And to review the Kua Gai, it's quite average. The flat noodles are the same as the pad kee mao but flavor is very mid. 7/10 at best if it came out in a reasonable amount of time.

first time visitor. solid solid spot downtown. around a 10 min wait (restaurant is a bit smaller). tables and chairs were kind of small to the point you can hear the next tables convo clearly. other than that quick, fast and friendly staff. - Curry w/rice 4/5: very fresh ingredients, vegetables. good portion amount for 1 person. not spicy imo, dependent on spice tolerance. - Duck noodle soup 4/5: loved the duck! soft and tender. soup broth tasted Msg heavy, could've been a bit more on the cleaner side when it comes to the broth taste, it was a bit more heavy. noodles and veggies were a nice compliment. - Pad Thai with chicken 4/5: 0 complaints pad Thai. solid noodles and chicken. All in all if you are craving Thai would highly recommend to try this spot!

We had the fried pumpkin, pad Thai and pad se ew. Our favorite was the pad Thai. We were pleasantly surprised with the fried pumpkin. The sauce served with it was soo tasty! The pad se ew was our least favorite and it's one that lots of reviews say is so good. The broccoli served with it tasted woody. We weren't wow'd by the food. Service and ambiance were good. You can sit indoors or outdoors.

Probably one of the best Thai food spots I've tried in a while! We ordered: the pad se ew, pad thai, wings, roti dip, and a Thai tea. And every single item was full of flavor! The highlight to me was the pad se ew, it reminded me how delicious this plate is. Everything here is worth ordering! The service here is great, we waited about 20 minutes to be seated. But once we were seated the waitress was quick to attend to us and the food came out in a timely manner. 10/10 experience, thank you Imm :) I will be back

This is hands down my favorite Thai place in Berkeley, as there are several of them. I've been coming here for years now and I still remember the very first time like it was yesterday. What drew me to this place initially back then was the large crowd outside, which I later realized was people patiently waiting to be seated. Let's just say, I always judge a restaurant by the number of people lining out the door. So I ate there and fell in love INSTANTLY. It's a small quaint place that gets packed very quickly, especially during lunch/dinner rush times. I love that you can see the entire kitchen staff cooking your food, and the service is pretty fast, considering they pretty much stay busy. My go-to's are what I always get every single time because I just can't go wrong with their pad see ew (with beef), Thai fried rice, fried egg rolls, pumpkin curry and of course, their Thai iced tea! The food is flavorful and authentic and even the smell of the food will entice you when you walk in. I often order ahead and just pick it up and me and my boys devour everything. There's never any leftovers. What can I say, we're a FOODIE FAMILY! Imm Thai is always a treat for me and my boys. I did a video review of this place recently on my social media platforms and I noticed that a lot of people SAVED my video. I highly recommend this place!

Hands down one of the best Thai places in bay! We went there after 7 years! I used to go here almost every week when I was studying at UC. Went back after 7 years. A lot changed, looks less cluttery, much cleaner. But a lot also didn't change! Food still delicious! We ordered fresh rolls, pad ke mao and spicy eggplant (with fried eggs). Fresh rolls are amazing, come with avocado. The peanut sauce is next level good. We ordered pad ke mao with chicken. It's very well seasoned, balanced spice and chicken is tender as well. The spicy eggplant with veggies is really good (not surprised), comes with rice. We finished our meal with sweet roti, which comes with condensed milk on the top and sugar sprinkles. The rotis are still hot when it came, and soft and flaky! Overall still one of the best Thai places in bay! I have two minor criticism (that's why 4, not 5)! The rice was a little under, 5 more seconds would have been perfect, they were a bit crunchy! Also the tomatoes in pad ke mao is huge, specifically one piece, it's humongous! Please pay attention to chop vegetables! But overall, hands down great place. And yes still after 7 years, that's not common at all! So yes change is not always good! Some things need to stay the same!

There's always a line out the door for Imm Thai, Berkeley's most beloved Thai spot. The vibes here really resemble Asia's street food stalls, and the food is just as mouthwatering. You won't go wrong with any classics (our favorite is the Pad See Ew), but if you're feeling adventurous, I would recommend trying the Su Kuo Thai, a noodle soup in a sour and spicy broth. It might sound a bit odd at first, but trust me, the flavor will grow on you. The apps are fun bites and come in smaller portion sizes, perfect for 2-4 people to share. I absolutely love the creamy peanut sauce (I think it's made with coconut milk?) that is served with the grilled chicken satay and fresh rolls.

Yummy solid Thai food! I really enjoyed the yellow curry, it had a perfect creamy flavor. I wish the potatoes and carrots were just a little softer. The pad thai was also good. I enjoyed the noodle texture but wish there was more protein. It's a casual homey spot with fast service and decent pricing. Street parking only, can be tough. I would come again to try more items!

I went here on a solo date and it did not disappoint. I walked-in with no reservation, got immediately seated. I contemplated between the pad Thai and crispy pork with Chinese broccoli. My friendly server recommended the pork. That's what I ended up getting. Her recommendation did not disappoint! My food came out quick, probably less than 10 minutes after ordering. Everything was cooked to perfection, from the crispy hot pork to tender broccoli and soft steamy rice. This dish alone makes me want to come back for more! I also had a Thai iced tea to wash it all down. 10 out of 10 recommend this spot if you want yummy Thai food!

I typically get pad Thai but I was craving something different and was intrigued by the Su Kho Thai noodle soup. I saw someone's review mention if you like tom yum you'd like this soup. I love tom yum so I decided to give it a shot. I definitely enjoyed the soup! It wasn't a straight up tom yum flavor, but it did have a good balance of sour and spicy. It was flavorful and refreshing despite how hot it was. Really generous portions too. My husband got the beef pad see ew and that was also tasty, but we wished it had the signature smokiness that the dish usually has. I'm looking forward to coming back to try their pad thai.

Imm Thai is one of my favorite restaurants in Berkeley, known for its attentive service and consistently high-quality food. My go-to order is pad kee mao with beef. The noodles arrive fresh from the wok, infused with the bold heat of Thai chili and aromatic herbs. Each bite delivers a punch of spice and smoky flavor that wakes up the taste buds. The duck noodle dish leans slightly sweet, but the duck itself is tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked with the fresh vegetables.

There's so many Thai options in Berkeley, but this was one of the most recommended. We came on a Friday right at opening (11:30AM) and there was no line. -Su Kho Thai (4/5): we knew we wanted a noodle soup and the duck noodles were the most recommended but we were really intrigued by the spicy and sour broth of the Su Kho Thai so we decided to give it a shot. Since we had a toddler, we requested mild instead of medium spice. It was really delicious! The sourness was a nice relief from the salt and sweetness of the other dishes. If you like tom yum, you'll like this! The toppings were really unique, like the ground pork and fried pork skin. The cha siu was a little dry through. -Pad se ew with chicken (5/5): one of the best pad se ew's I've ever had! The noodles were the perfect consistency and the seasoning was spot on (not too sweet or salty). -Thai iced tea (4/5): solid, husband thought it could have been a tad sweeter though. Overall definitely one of the top Thai places in the Berkeley area. Excited to come back and try more dishes!

Loved dining at Imm Thai with my boyfriend. We got the Pad Kee Mao and Pad Thai (both with beef), as well as the mango sticky rice. My boyfriend has never had drunken noodles before so I was really excited for him to try it! He commented on how well spiced the Pad Kee Mao is and how tender the beef was in both of our dishes. He wasn't a big fan of the vegetable options and how they went with the texture and flavor of the dish, but I liked the quality and freshness of their bell peppers/green beans a lot. Their noodle dishes are very flavorful. The mango sticky rice was tasty and the mango was also very sweet and succulent! We ate outside just to save time on the waitlist, but we never felt neglected by our servers. They came out to tend to the other parties as well.

Hi there, Is this restaurant Gluten free?

It's not strictly a gluten free menu, but they have plenty of gluten free options with their numerous rice and rice noodle based dishes!

Anyone one know why their green curry is extremely green? Trying to figure out if it's food coloring?

I haven't personally asked but I also don't believe they would use food coloring. The vibrancy of green in green curries is typically dependent on the types of herbs + spices used since the chlorophyll that breaks down is what we see as the "green"… Read more

But Rose La Moon saved the night, ending it on a good note. Rose La Moon isn't a fancy place and doesn't have live music (like that cheesy cheesy flatbread place), but when you arrive, the restaurant is clean. Ordering is on the monitor and once you place your order, if you are dining in, which is what we did, you seat yourself and wait for your food to arrive. Water is self-serve and you clean your own table after dining, which is totally fine with me. What I wanted tonight was good food and just a friendly face. We ordered: Hat Yai Fried Chicken - $11 Moo Tod with Jaew Sauce - $11 Laos Style Papaya Salad- $13 Nice Thai lady brought our food to our table when the fried chicken and fried pork jerky were ready. We started chowing down immediately. As we were halfway in, she came back to tell us that the papaya salad was going to come out in a few minutes - wonderful as this showed that they were attentive and also wanted to assure me that they didn't forget and that it's on its way. The fried chicken and moo tod were delicious! Just the right amount for the price. Chicken was juicy and crispy - although I didn't like the sweet and sour sauce that came with it; it was good but I prefer the sweet chili sauce with it instead. The pork jerky was also crispy and juicy and jaew sauce with it? Perfect! Then came the papaya salad. Now, most Thai places do not offer it Laos style and I do love that funk. Rose La Mokn definitely delivered. It was just the right amount of fermented funk (some places do make it way too funky) and was so good!!! Funky and a bunch of texture from the tomatoes to the strong beans to the papaya strips to the peanuts and also had some mixed greens in there. What a wonderful meal - all for under ~$35 before tax and tip! Great delicious food and great value! Thank you for making my night tonight, Rose La Moon!
