We had seen someone carrying a slice of Blondie's Pizza that looked and smelled really good, so the next time we were in the area around lunch time we had to try it. We went with a large pepperoni sausage pizza. After taking it home, about an hour away, it was still warm and tasted good. The reason for the low rating is because I do not like thick crust pizza. The flavor was ok, but not enough to look past the thick crust that I do not care for, so I will most likely not go back. The location is clean and the service was quick and friendly. Something about the texture does not say dough prepared daily to my palate. Still, it's quick and delicious. The spicy tomato sauce and four cheese blend offer a nice balance to the doughy crust. Slices start as $6.99 for cheese. Vegetarian and a daily special are also available. Whole pies too -- $14 for a small cheese pie. 12 varieties to choose from and sizes ranging from 10' to the 22" Godzilla pizza. Not to mention wings or breadsticks. Order from a cashier or, when it's busy, a kiosk. For seating, there are only 3 small tables + 3 chairs at the window counter. Lot's of standing room or it's easy food to walk with. Nostalgia much? I grew up with Blondie's Pizza. I have loved this place since I was a teenager & I love it even more now. For more than one reason. For one it brings back so many good memories, Blondie's always makes me happy. The second reason is they now have 100% BEEF PEPERONI! You heard me, 100% BEEF PEPPERONI! For some people that's not a big deal. For someone who hasn't eaten pork their whole life & always has to avoid getting pepperoni on their pizza, its a HUGE freaking deal. I love, love, love when the rare occasion happens that I get to enjoy BEEF PEPPERONI on my pizza. OK besides that, the pizza is amazing. I was literally closing my eyes and in my happy place the whole time. Now for those that never had BEEF PEPPERONI, please go try it. It is so much higher quality than pork pepperoni, so I've been told. I plan to make many more trips in the near future, thats how excited it made me. By the way I loved the cheese just as much, yum yummy. Pro tip: parking is hard, obviously, downtown Berkeley and all. So either walk, Uber, find parking, take the bus, or do as I do and tag team it and drop off a friend to go order for the whole car and drive around until they are ready to be picked up. Over priced pizza and when you go in you're ignored and told to order at the kiosk. Even if you have questions about the special or anything else they prefer you have zero contact. 15 minutes later ;while the staff stands around bs-ing; for pizza that was already sliced under a heat lamp to be flashed in an oven you finally get it and the cheese shaker is moldy. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the crust (although bland) was at least crispy. The pizza here is definitely much greasier than most pizza and is below average for a pizza parlor. The pepperoni is just so oily, and the cheese seems a bit artificial. I liked the crust, though, because it had a good garlic butter and was soft. The slice was very large, so even though the price is higher than an average slice, the size matches up. The food was ready in a few minutes. The seating is quite limited, but thankfully my dad and I were able to find a table with chairs. read more

I haven't been here in a couple decades but it hadn't changed (except the prices of course). Took my daughter here and got slices and have to say it brought back memories of the late 90's/early 2000's hanging on the old Telegraph. The pizza was fresh, cheese and massive just like always. The staff members are nice and quick when asking for the name and when handing over the slices of pizza. It's a small room with not much seating as most people take their Blondies to-go. Their cheese and beef pepperoni pizzas are very good and delicious, if you are looking for a cheat meal in Berkeley haha. We ordered on their site for pick-up and utilized the "notes" for our special instructions. We asked for thick crust and light cheese on our pepperoni pizza and upon receiving our pizza we saw they followed all instructions! Giant Pepperoni Pizza: 10/10 - followed all instructions for our special order - thick crust, flavorful sauce, light cheese and good amount of pepperoni Breadsticks with Garlic: 6/10 - didn't have as much garlic as I thought it would - huge breadsticks that's worth the price - comes with a sauce and is definitely needed because the breadsticks are a bit dry We will definitely be back to try out other pizzas at Blondies! read more
