    Iconic Blondies

Haven't been back in over 30 years! While the slices are larger than I remembered them, I feel they're also doughier, which I grew out of as my taste matured over the years. The sauce, cheese and toppings which were plentiful tasted great. I just prefer thinner crusts now.

We had seen someone carrying a slice of Blondie's Pizza that looked and smelled really good, so the next time we were in the area around lunch time we had to try it. We went with a large pepperoni sausage pizza. After taking it home, about an hour away, it was still warm and tasted good. The reason for the low rating is because I do not like thick crust pizza. The flavor was ok, but not enough to look past the thick crust that I do not care for, so I will most likely not go back. The location is clean and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, it works for people who like that thick crust style of pizza.

Blondie's is a Berkeley institution. I went quite a bit in college, always an essential stop when visiting friends. The pizza is huge and delicious --it was more than just nostalgia! There is nothing special about the service but the place was very cleaned up from last time I was there.

Solid food and large slices for $8. I personally wishes slices were smaller and cheaper so I could get multiple different slices, but oh well. Some people's go-to spot for pizza in the area. I liked how the tomato sauce was just straight tomato and not sweet or anything. At pickup, you get a cheese pull but it is not sloppy. When it cools, cheese doesn't get hard either. Make sure to order ahead as it can be crowded and wait times can be long.

Not the most amazing pie given all the upper urust gourmet pizza places that have opened in Berkeley. But Blondie's still knows how to crank out slices that are very satisfying for a quick bite. I got their classic pepperoni and it still plentifully loaded with beef pepperoni on a slice sizable enough to make you think twice before ordering two of them. I stuck with one. Something about the texture does not say dough prepared daily to my palate. Still, it's quick and delicious. The spicy tomato sauce and four cheese blend offer a nice balance to the doughy crust. Slices start as $6.99 for cheese. Vegetarian and a daily special are also available. Whole pies too -- $14 for a small cheese pie. 12 varieties to choose from and sizes ranging from 10' to the 22" Godzilla pizza. Not to mention wings or breadsticks. Order from a cashier or, when it's busy, a kiosk. For seating, there are only 3 small tables + 3 chairs at the window counter. Lot's of standing room or it's easy food to walk with. If you can't find street parking, the Telegraph-Channing lot is relatively inexpensive at $3/hour. Enter from Channing Way or Durant Ave.

Nostalgia much? I grew up with Blondie's Pizza. I have loved this place since I was a teenager & I love it even more now. For more than one reason. For one it brings back so many good memories, Blondie's always makes me happy. The second reason is they now have 100% BEEF PEPERONI! You heard me, 100% BEEF PEPPERONI! For some people that's not a big deal. For someone who hasn't eaten pork their whole life & always has to avoid getting pepperoni on their pizza, its a HUGE freaking deal. I love, love, love when the rare occasion happens that I get to enjoy BEEF PEPPERONI on my pizza. OK besides that, the pizza is amazing. I was literally closing my eyes and in my happy place the whole time. Now for those that never had BEEF PEPPERONI, please go try it. It is so much higher quality than pork pepperoni, so I've been told. I plan to make many more trips in the near future, thats how excited it made me. By the way I loved the cheese just as much, yum yummy. Pro tip: parking is hard, obviously, downtown Berkeley and all. So either walk, Uber, find parking, take the bus, or do as I do and tag team it and drop off a friend to go order for the whole car and drive around until they are ready to be picked up. Do what you have to, just get there. Now go enjoy yourself, you can thank me later.

Walked up to the kiosk to place an order for pizza for my staff. The kiosk makes ordering easy, but this place gets busy. You can still get a good slice of pizza from them. They have seats for this place, but mostly it's for going.

Went to Cal game last Saturday afternoon and after the game before heading home I had to stop at an old stomping ground and grab a slice. When I got there decided to go with a slice I was unfamiliar with,Hyphy slice, has pepperoni, pineapple, olives and jalapeños with some extra cheese thrown on top.It really was tasty, really hit the spot when u need that quick bite before the long drive home. If u ever find yourself in Berkeley and want a quality slice,u can't go wrong choosing Blondies, still great after all these years...

I love Blondie's! My favorite pizza in Berkeley. The crust is so fresh & fluffy. I think about the sauce long after my pizza is gone My favorite is pepperoni. The staff is friendly, perceptive and accommodating. One of my favorite ways of dining is to look out on the street while eating. Berkeley is a vibrant city and viewing it from Blondie's is one of my favorite pastimes. If you are coming by car, there is street parking.

I rarely crave pizza, but when I do it's blondies. This is a staple in my home - my husband is originally from SF and there's nothing better than showing him what the best pizza is around Berkeley. For some reason, it's hard for me to get it delivered because I believe it taste so much better when you pick it up and add the toppings there.

Nostalgia! I love Blondie. Brings me back to the college days. Slices are still gigantic. Needs two plates! Unfortunately, no longer $3 a slice.

    Marlon T.

Blondie's is such a classic Bay Area spot. It's been around forever, and it definitely has that old-school pizza joint vibe. The slices are solid, not the best you'll ever have, but good enough to hit the spot. They charge $1 for ranch. For me, there's a lot of nostalgia tied to this place, so grabbing a slice always brings back memories.

Whenever I'm in search of something good to eat in the Bay Area I always check TikTok first. My search directed me to Southside Station! It's a small quaint establishment with a very quiet vibe. When I entered, there was a table of three gentlemen sitting there enjoying their selections. I checked in with them and got suggestions on what I should order. They made a recommendation, but I chose something totally different. I ordered the wings and garlic noodles with a side of brussels sprouts. This place is known for their fried chicken because it's so extra crunchy. They definitely did deliver on the crunch and the flavor. The garlic noodles were very garlic, which is what I liked, and the brussels sprouts were sautéed in a honey glaze. I decided to enjoy my food inside the restaurant as opposed to sitting outside where they have two tables set up. The young lady that took my order was ever so sweet and kind. She was the only one I saw in the restaurant behind the counter, but there may have been others working further in the back. There was an error on my order and she was quick to correct the error with an apology and a smile. The portion size was decent. I ended up taking home leftovers.

We ordered a trio of salmon, tuna and crab salad. The shell was nice and crispy, and not hard like a rice cake. And the filling was delicious. the only downside is this is messy to eat. I tried two honey butter wings, a sweet flavor, and another time I tried the "sweet cheddar". Both were excellent, hopefully I can try the Yangnyeom next time for some spicy flavor.
