I swung by Senior's Pizza in Berkeley last weekend when a late-night craving hit me. I was starving, and honestly, just happy to find a place still open past midnight. Then when I get there and call to see if the phones broken, the phone rings and they just don't answer. Grease galore! Seniore's has a new pop-up pasta shop that's worse than Y2K. It is called Pasta House. Don't take it personally, but everything is doused in grease. The food is inedible, unless you enjoy fishing out ravioli from a pool of oil. Ravioli is normally dry, and stuffed with good meat or cheese. But the ravioli at Seniore's is a tragic tale of never-ending oil. There are a good amount of ravioli, but they are literally soaked with oil, submerged in oil, and there is more oil present than ravioli. This is the only item I have tried from Seniore's, but based on this dish, I would never come back. Please save your money and go to a good pasta place like Gypsy's instead. I hope that Seniore's has other, more redeeming items, but I wouldn't stick around long enough to find out. read more

Two guys making pizza - one the dough one toppings and oven. Another guy working orders for take out. The restaurant has fancy fancy granite counters, good looking tile floors and the name of the restaurant artfully decorates the inside space. Yellow black and red walls all work well together. A self serve fountain where you can refill as much as you wish after a night of drinking to rehydrate. I get my pizza faster than expected given the lines. Its got some heft, its hot and delicious. A medium crust with a crunch. Tastes absolutely fresh even though i just ordered a slice. I love it and the buzzing vibe here. There goes the phone again. This is a well oiled machine. We added another topping so 2 toppings per slice and the total was $8 something . Really cheap. The crust was perfect. How they baked the bread was so crunchy. Along with a whole garlic bread with cheese Delivery man arrives.. the box was big, heavy pizza! The price for the two was less than $35 total, not too shabby. Baja chicken- kinda spicy, kinda reminded me of hawaiian pizza with jalapenos and itty bitty pieces of chicken. 3/5 Seniores Special- similar to a supreme/combo pizza. It was nothing outta the ordinary 3/5 as well. Cheesy garlic bread- loved how it looked but the taste didnt make me want to go back for more. It wasnt exactly a natural flavor but the garlic spread was overbearing and you couldnt really taste the cheese :( 2/5 The delivery was 20-30 mins (incl. Prep time) but overall, the experience was fun. I look forward to trying their fried chicken though! This visit was the first time I ever visited Seniore's pizza and I must say that I'm quite pleasantly surprised. I've seen the restaurant a few times this year when I would past it, but I was never interested in trying it. However, while surfing yelp, I came across Seniore's pizza as the go to place for big slices of pizza with decent flavor. My friend and I came in July 3 and the cashier let us order the lunch special even though it was almost 8 pm. We ordered two slices of mushroom pizza and two slices of beef sausage pizza with two sodas. It came out to $13. They handmade every pizza and it was cool to watch one of the workers prepare the dough. The pizza came out within 10 minutes and they gave us to go boxes for it. When we arrived home to eat it, we were quite shocked at how big they were! I wasn't expecting the slices to be that thick or that big. We both could only eat one slice each and we saved the rest for the next day's meal. The mushroom pizza was good, and the sausage pizza was okay, but for $6 for two slices and a soda, it was a good day. I would definitely return to Seniore's pizza for their mushroom pizza and I think it actually makes a great addition to the pizza scene in Berkeley. They have big slices with good flavor and decent prices. They also open late (like 3 am) and the cashiers are polite. I also tried the wings here and I like how they don't skimp you on the sizes as other places do. I tried the regular ones and the buffalo ones but I wasn't that big of a fan of the buffalo. At 1am on a Monday night, I ordered a medium Tijuana for pick-up. That's listed as pepperoni, bacon, pineapple, and jalapenos. I asked them to hold the pepperoni and add mushrooms instead. They told me it would be ready in less than 15 minutes so I left the house right after calling. I got there about 15 minutes later and my pizza was waiting for me. The guy who took my money was very nice, and kept saying thank you. My total was 13.95 plus tax, which came to 15.25. When I opened the box to check out my pizza, to my dismay, what was listed as bacon was actually Canadian bacon... =( I guess looking back on it, maybe I should've known it was Canadian bacon since regular, good old fashioned American bacon wasn't listed on their toppings menu, but hey, a girl can dream right? Even though my bacon ended up being the North of the border bacon, it was still pretty delicious. Like I stated, they really pile on the toppings. Every bite was topping-loaded, and they even added a little more (delicious) mozzarella cheese on top of all the toppings. Even though $15+ is a bit much for a medium pizza (maybe 12"?), it is pretty filling, so maybe worth it after all. Never been to this place in person, but it's always been there for me as an online delivery option on UberEats when I find myself craving food at 2am with no will to walk anywhere, (and most places are closed anyway). I have never actually gotten pizza there so I can't speak to that but I always get the garlic bread and mozzarella sticks delivered. They have deeply satisfying garlic bread. Seniore's is conveniently located near campus and is a good late night food option. They do have halal options but it's not always the same halal items available. Make sure you ask! If they happen to have halal chicken wings, you must try them! They are so delicious. Otherwise their pizza and other items are solid and worth trying. They don't have a lot of seating so if you're going with 3 or more people, be prepared.
