I'm only giving them a 4 because I don't have calzones often enough to know what qualifies for a good calzone, but what I do know is that these were really damn good regardless!! The filling was sufficient. I've bad the Monterey and Palm Springs calzone here. Palm Springs is creamy and cheesy, with bacon pieces and jalapeños throughout. It's rich and the crust is crunchy. I really enjoyed it. I will say that sometimes the crust can be a little tiring to eat, but there's no skimping on the ingredients, so it's easy to enjoy everything as a whole by taking bites out of the calzones. The Monterey is supposed to have buffalo sauce in it, but I couldn't really taste it. The green bell peppers and the onions were really tasty and didn't get soggy within the cheese and other toppings, which made it even more enjoyable!
The sauces definitely elevate the food as well. My favorite is the signature creamy garlic dipping sauce. The chipotle sauce doesn't have a strong enough chipotle flavor, which suck, so I wouldn't recommend it. Their bbq sauce smelled heavenly, and I haven't tried it, but it's definitely next on the menu!
Also, you won't be able to find this shop in person underneath the same name. But it is in the same shop as a place called Pizza Guys, which also looked good. The orders do come out at a good time too! Kudos to the people working in the kitchen. All in all, definitely a life changer for me. Ambiance was chill in there. Definitely a small place to eat at, with a table offered for customers. Totally recommend though! read more
