Delivery is every week and so seamless, there is even an app to track the status of the delivery. The soups and stews were all so flavorful - I didn't have to season them at all! My favorites are the cauliflower potato soup, ginger chicken soup and the oatmeal white chocolate chip cookies (seriously, so good!). I've been trying various meal delivery services and this is one of the better ones - even showed up cold. I'll probably always try to have a couple of their stews or soups in my freezer as a backup. So far I tried the black eyed pea stew, chicken noodle soup, and chili. They were all excellent. They taste fresh and homemade. Each bag was about 2 servings, the chili about 3. Beware of the coconut ball dessert. It's so good I ate all of them in one day! Eek! They were so moist and melted in your mouth. I could eat these everyday. In anticipation for baby's arrival, I ordered a "trial" from the Kitchen Doula - the Healing and Recovery package of soups and stews - because I wanted to be sure I would enjoy and feel nourished as having this type of food immediately postpartum. I have nothing but good things to say about it all. The process of ordering (super easy!), delivery (on time and communicative), and the amazing food, talk about DELICIOUS. So far I've enjoyed the chili (stew), chicken vegetable soup, chicken ginger soup, cock-a-leekie (stew), both kinds of lactation cookies, and the tumeric ginger tonic. All of the food has been delicious, the stews are hearty, the soups are lighter but still feel very nourishing. I especially loved the chicken vegetable soup (Tali uses lots of great vegetables and the zest she incorporates in unique and adds a brightness to the soup), the chili (the whole family devoured, even my "I don't like chili" husband), and cock-a-leekie. The cookies are delicious bite sized treats and the ginger tonic I felt it "strong enough" to split across multiple servings (mixed together with sparkling water). I can't say enough good things about Kitchen Doula and founder Tali Biale. My introduction to them was when a friend sent me an order from the while I was undergoing chemo. A friend recently lost her mom, and I wanted to nourish her in the way my friend had nourished me. Because I wanted it NOW and they, as a small business, understandably deliver in certain areas in certain days. So first I called to see if I could get what I needed and got voicemail and didn't leave a message. I chose instead to send an email, thinking to myself that I wouldn't hear anytime soon, certainly not the day I sent it. Within basically minutes Tali emailed me back. We went back/forth a few times and she helped me understand how to customize a 'package' as well as work with me to see what delivery day they could commit to.
