There was no line to order, and it took about 10-15 minutes for our food to be ready. Service was standard and sufficient. We got the small-size seafood paella which was served warm and quite delicious. It came with spanish rice, green beans, calamari, shrimp, and mussels which were overcooked and very tiny in the shells. We also got several empanadas (mushroom with mozzarella, spinach with mozzarella, and garlic shrimp with mozzarella). They were served at room temperature from the display case in the window, and they weren't labeled clearly so we had to bite into each one to figure out which was which. All three flavors were tasty nonetheless. My favorite dish was the order of prawn croquettes which came with salad on the side. These were served hot and freshly made, a nicely seasoned savory and creamy filling with large chunks of shrimp inside, and the breading fried to a perfect consistency. Yummy!

When I came back to them a couple years later, the price point had gone up & I was priced out.) The portion sizes were large. I think it was like $12-13/meal. 99% of the dishes were delicious. I was REALLY pleasantly surprised at the flavor & taste. I expected gentrified dishes. It was good! I was also specifically looking for meal delivery that generated less waste. Planter table delivered that. I got cool enough with my driver (and tipped well!) that he brought me a little thank you plant. I loved that I had the same driver each time. It was just a really pleasant experience overall. Nothing bad to say.

I've heard of Hella Bomb Tacos and have seen the truck over the years at various local events…read more Today, a friend mentioned the car show on the Hercules Waterfront and that she was heading down because Hella Bomb was beckoning her. Since I had time, I walked down to the show, check out the cars and the band, and gave Hella Bomb a try, despite not being particularly hungry. I ordered one street taco--cilantro lime chicken. I mentioned it was my first time eating their food, and I'd heard they were, in fact, Hella Bomb, and the server said they were! And that she wasn't just saying that because it was her brother's business! The taco came with a lime wedge, some radish slices, and chips. Served on two small corn tortillas with a generous helping of chicken topped with green salsa. Oh, and a VERY HOT (for me) grilled pepper. Looked like that pepper could have been a mild shishito pepper, but since I wasn't sure and I can't do spicy like I used too, I took a tiny bite. Not a shishido! So beware if you can't handle a bit of heat! Not expecting too much with my first bite of the taco, I was actually quite surprised! I'm sure my eyes opened a bit wider with the happy flavors rolling through my mouth! It was delicious! Moist, tender chicken with a tasty marinade--wish I were hungrier so I could eat another! Since the taco was so stuffed with meat, I loved the side of chips to scoop up the bits of chicken that fell out with each bite! Yes, I will have Hella Bomb again! My W will love those tacos, too!

We ordered the waffle churros with added fried chicken ($19). It was really good though i wish the waffle was a bit crispier on the outside. The syrup was very thick like honey! We also ordered the breakfast burrito with avocado and chorizo (added cost so it became $20). I really liked the chorizo, they grilled it so it was a tad crisp, and loved that it wasn't very salty. We also ordered the meat (chicken) handmade pie. The filling was generous, the crust though i wish it was a bit more flaky and crisp. This was just ok. Their latte and chairs latte were good too. Food came out about 15+ minutes after we placed the order. Restroom was reasonably clean and overall ambiance and decor of the eatery were inviting. We Certainly will done here again and definitely the chicken and waffle.were our favorite from what we ordered today.
