A vegetarian pizza was ordered, every spice was scrumptious, said every diner. They said it would be delivered in about 45 minutes. It arrived comfortably hot in 28 minutes. Go Mountain Mike's! read more

This reminds me of Pizza Hut, so if you like that type of deeper, crunchy at the bottom crust, you will like it. I prefer the type of thin crust pizza that you can fold, with bubbled crust on top, so I do feel like it is hard for me to be a fair judge. This is a chain that's from California but seems more midwestern in taste. They make huge pizzas and automatically cut them in narrow slices, which is great for kid parties. In fact, I have almost exclusively had them at school events. They are generous with the community. read more

I could eat the chicken pizza all day long. However, what's never a miss is their pepperoni as well. Simple, absolutely! There is something about the crunchiness of the crust along with the crunchiness of pepperoni as well. There's just something about it that taste so delicious about the simplicity of it all. We generally order delivery and it takes about 30-40 minutes which is reasonable. Ambiance is good as well, I've been there. Love the fact that they have screens to watch the game on any given day. read more

A couple days ago I ordered from Mountain Mike's for the first time in probably 15 years, and I don't know why I forgot about them, because the pizza was incredible! Somehow they managed to deliver my pizza about 20 minutes after I ordered it (seriously, how did they do that?), and it was hot and delicious. Tangy & delicious sauce, perfect crust, just the right amount of toppings (I ordered the Everest). So, so good! read more

Such good pizza and nice people running this spot! Yesterday I ordered and paid for a pizza online and came into this Mountain Mike's to pick it up, only to find I'd accidentally put the order in at a different location and my pizza was there, miles away. The guy helping me kindly made me the pizza I ordered for no charge and offered me soda and chatted with me while we waited for my pizza to bake. Super kind and above and beyond. :) read more

Mountain Mike's Pizza in Berkeley offers a delightful experience for pizza lovers. The rustic charm of the establishment complements its welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect place for casual dining with family and friends. The menu is extensive, boasting a variety of specialty pizzas, including their classic Mountain Mike's Pepperoni and the gourmet veggie options that satisfy diverse tastes . I've tried several different types over the years. The crust is a standout feature: perfectly baked, with the right amount of chewiness and crispiness. The generous toppings, from fresh vegetables to quality meats, enhance the flavors, ensuring each slice is a treat. Their cheese blend, known for its rich taste, is abundant and melts beautifully, which is particularly appealing for cheese enthusiasts and I ask that they put the fresh basil. Umm umm delicious In addition to pizza, Mountain Mike's offers wings, salads, and appetizers, providing a full-fledged menu for those looking to indulge. The service is efficient and friendly, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience. Exactly what you expect when ordering from here: hot, fresh, tons of toppings, incredibly well priced. Keep in mind that they have to pay franchise fees and can still sell you a large pie for 34.99. Incredible. I'd suggest adding vinegary toppings to your pizza because salt on salt gets salty after a while. read more

Very friendly staff, inviting and pleasant. Asked to be given time to look at menu and very politely responded with, "Take your time!" We walked here from the hotel and it was worth it. Further, the lady that took our order offered us a bargain as well as other suggestions. We highly recommend this pizzeria. Enjoyed every bite and felt welcomed. read more

My updated review is long overdue and much deserved. This MMP establishment is in a class of its own because of the owners and staff. They are honest, have the highest integrity and truly care about the quality of food they serve. The pizzas are fresh, made to order, hot, made with quality foods AND arrives on time -every single time!. They are a small business that at the end of the day -needs to return a profit - while having to service the public -which is a huge undertaking. I have been getting pizza's here for over 6 years now and couldn't be more than pleased with the staff and business practices and they own up to any mistake they might have made. Whenever I have a working crew at the house, I always treat them to a MMP Friday Lunch delivery. read more

Great pizza. We really enjoy it. Tip: they won't allow you to use the Yelp check-in for free garlic sticks and a coupon. It's one or the other. Kinda annoying since we ordered 2 pizzas. Also - they charge .50 cents per ranch.... That actually was awful. Round Table is down the street - maybe go there instead. read more

Amongst all of the fancy pizza locations you'll find in the Berkeley/Albany area, Mountain Mike's is a throwback to the pizza many of us grew up with - or at least the good version of the pizza we grew up with. They make solidly delicious pizzas that have generous toppings and aren't too doughy. Pre-pandemic, we used to order pizzas for pick-up/take-out which was convenient since they have a small parking lot that typically has plenty of parking. During the pandemic, we ordered online for delivery which was super easy. I also appreciated that their online ordering system makes it easy to redeem coupons and that their delivery staff respected social-distancing delivery requests (dropping pizzas off on the porch). The pizzas are pretty good deals, and you should definitely check out online coupons before completing your order. read more

Compassion & pizza. Last evening I bought a pizza and when I went to my car I discovered that I left my keys inside ! I went through the extended process of calling AAA and waited for their arrival. In the meantime my phone was out of power. After about 35 minutes the owner of Mike's offered to drive me about 2 miles to a house where I had a duplicate set of keys. I decided to wait but after 1 1/2 hours I accepted the owner's offer. It took about 15 minutes. When I offered to pay the owner he refused. His warmth and compassion was amazing. And the pizza, as usual, was excellent ! read more

OMG! I'm about to never order from here ever again... First I call in and state that I have a coupon for $22.99 any large specialty pizza and I'm told it's expired even though there no expiration date.... Then I state I'll order a medium coupon for $2.00 off instead and the woman on the phone wants to ask me "for how many people"??? What the heck???? Solid pizza for a good price. Reminds me of a good pan pizza at Pizza Hut and the toppings go all the way to the edge.

Stuck in a hotel in an unfamiliar city, tired after a 6 hour drive with no energy to go out? The front desk told Hubs only pizza places deliver. Later we found out other options were available. However, out of 3 pizza advertisements we decided on Mountain Mike's. The time from placing the order to delivering to the hotel was about 45 minutes. A large Everest pizza was chosen and it WAS large. I met the delivery guy in the lobby. As I took the box from him another guest asked for his card. While I was walking back to the room another guest following behind me must have enjoyed the captivating aroma of the pizza and said, "Oh boy!" Really loud with envy in his remark. Upon opening the cover of the box, holy cow, it was loaded with so many ingredients and looked too good to break apart. The pizza came with paper plates. Couldn't wait another minute, enjoyed 4 slices( it was cut into many pieces) so maybe about 2 regular sized pieces. If the room had a larger fridge we could have enjoyed it the next day too. Tip: bring along some large ziplock bags when you travel for such a situation. read more

Overall, the experience was average, with room for improvement in both the food quality and the variety of options available. Would visit again to see if changes are made. The selection of toppings was quite good, and the location is convenient. However, the wait times can be long during peak hours, and the pizza could be more flavorful. The atmosphere at Mountain Mikes Pizza was cozy and inviting, The pizza was decent, but not the best Ive had. The crust was a bit too doughy for my taste, and the sauce could use more seasoning. Service was friendly though. read more

We ordered a single pepperoni pizza for dinner through door dash. We got a cheese pizza... Weird. But when we called them they said "Oh yeah, sorry. We knew the wrong order went out but we couldn't stop the driver in time.". Okay, so... Just going to wait for us to catch it? That said, the pizza was good. It was a little thick and doughy for my taste, but overall a fine pizza. The food arrived hot (both times) and it was perfectly acceptable as a dinner. The cheese was a good melty/stingy mix and the pepperoni was exceptionally well appointed with meat and was crisp and tasty. We really enjoyed the food, but the delivery hiccups and the cost make it difficult to give it 5-stars. TL;DR: Like a slightly better tasting Digiorno's pizza only 4x the price. read more

When you're craving something different from the Berkeley usuals like Cheeseboard, Dominoes, Arizamendi, etc. Mountain Mikes is a great option. I looked online and signed up for coupons because why not? I saw a $16.99 deal for a large 1-topping pizza so I ended up getting a large pepperoni. The coupons are mainly to print and don't have specific codes on them so I called ahead to make sure they would honor the online coupon at this location and they did. I was surprised that they said it would take 15 mins and when I did show up it was ready. The pizza had a ton of pepperoni and the kind of pepperoni that turns into cups while they bake it. YUM! The sauce here is on the sweeter side in my opinion but all in all, the pizza here is tasty. I also love how they cut slices into a ton of smaller ones because it makes it easy to share and especially not overeat. This location also has a deal for a free order of cheesy garlic sticks when you check in. It only takes about 10 mins so be sure to get the deal! Another plus is that they give you a bag of pepper/cheese with coupons on your way out. PROS: + small parking lot in front + quick/friendly service (15 mins!) + online/printed coupon deals + free cheesy garlic sticks with check in read more
