I was craving some Korean tofu soup and decided to try this place. I had their combination tofu soup which came with beef, squid, clam and shrimp. It also came with a bowl of rice. The flavor was alright but nothing memorable. All I could remember was that when we were there, a party of around 6 people talking extremely loud which made our dining experience miserable and unpleasant. We ended up eating as quickly as possible so we could get out of here.

I came to have an early dinner with a friend last week. I'd only had Korean food a couple of other times (this might signal my enthusiasm for the cuisine) and was so disappointed it was erased from my memory. This one will stick for sure! We had original fried chicken and soy sauce with garlic. I personally liked the original the best - it came out hot and crispy but not so hot it burns your tongue :) The best parts were the pickled daikon and the excellent service! Everyone was so nice and on top of things, the staff noticed how much I loved the daikon and kept bringing more. I went to an upscale KBBQ place last night and after having dined at Pyeong Chang, I was sorely disappointed by the other place! Pyeong Chang takes the cake so far! The daikon here packs strong pickled punch!! F and I ended up playing chopstick wars over them because we both loved them so much! Looking forward to trying all their yummy appetizers!

Unique menu with lots of different options (options like soy milk soba noodles which u don't see too often) Also so many vegetarian / vegan options, and our waiter was well versed on what was veggie friendly which I appreciated. I picked the stone tofu bibimbap (+$1 for the hot stone, but the crispy rice is worth it!) and asked for no egg. They put fried tofu on it along with various veggies, like bean sprouts and carrots. The dish also came with vegan soft tofu soup, and you could choose the spice level. The tea was complimentary and had a great earthy flavor. Banchan was also delicious and vegan except for the kimchi which had fish sauce. We found free parking on University after 6 pm, and made reservations, but not too busy on summer weekdays in the evening since most of the Cal students are gone. Very pretty and clean interior with to-go boxes you could grab yourself, no need to wait for the waiter! Gratuity is automatically added for parties more than 5.

Deeeelicious! We came in around 7pm on a Wednesday night and did not have to wait long before getting seated. It was warm and cozy inside. I ordered the kong guksu because I love all things soy and it did not disappoint! It comes with salt on the side for you to add and adjust to your liking. The broth was nutty, thick and overall delicious. My boyfriend got a seafood tofu soup that came with an egg and crispy rice! The rice was a fun little bonus we weren't expecting! Our server (seemed like the owner perhaps) had great customer service so it was we left with a full belly and smiles on our faces!

This Korean restaurant is a cozy spot that serves delicious kitchen-cooked dishes, no BBQ grills at the table. I like this because I can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the food without any hassle of cooking myself. Plus, it means I won't have to worry about leaving the restaurant smelling smoky and BBQ-y. Parking was fairly easy to find on the street. The food was very good! We tried the original and shoyu chicken wings, and the latter was our favorite. The bulgogi and the soft tofu soup were also really tasty. They have a good selection of bonchons. The only thing that could be improved is the service. It was a bit hard to get the server's attention, and when they did come over, they seemed a bit hostile. It was a bit off-putting, but overall, it was still a good dining experience.

Definitely would come back again! The tofu stew here is top notch--the flavor profile here is strong, unlike some places. The ban chan here is also my all time favorite, everything was super fresh and refreshing. You could tell the ban chan wasn't just sitting out in the open waiting to be served. What's also unique is that this place also serves the leftover crispy rice w/ hot water that comes in the clay pot! I've only ever been to one other place that does this--I love it when they do this. The only down side is we did notice the stew to be a little too salty so I had to pour some water, but bc the flavor was so good I didn't really mind tbh. Seating was plentiful here. Everything was clean. The ambiance felt like a clean and modern home-y Korean spot. Overall would definitely come back again!

    The daikon was especially delicious!

We arrived when it was still pretty quiet, but by the time we left this place was packed. The staff were really friendly and generous, and the food we ordered (half & half of the wings, original and soy garlic) was delicious!

Just randomly chose a spot since I was craving korean food. I felt bad coming in the last hour but food came out quick. We got the combo beef and seafood tofu soup with fried chicken wings. We got the soup mild but it was a bit spicy for my friend. I thought it was good and flavorful. A good amount of beef and seafood(shrimp, squid, clams). Their side dishes were pretty good. There was only 4 though. The wings were good. Didn't taste like it was double fried but had a good flavor and savoriness.

Such a hidden gem located in Berkeley. We had an outbound to east Bay last weekend, and we were craving for authentic Korean food. I was searching for a delicious Korean food while we were in Berkeley and I found this mom and pop shop. So we give it a try. Turned out all the food was so amazing. We tried their new menu, Korean cold noodle soup and it was so refreshing and perfect for summer days. We saw a poster in front of the store that they have the most crispy Korean seafood pancakes, so we gave it a try, it was loaded with seafood and was crispy too. We were recommended to try their Ikura bibimbap since they were the only one who carried the dish so we also ordered that. It was delicious indeed. And it was something that we never tried before. We would definitely try again. I love their galbi soup a.k.a. Meat soup it was full with meat, and also the cabbage makes it so refreshing. The burnt rice was perfect to eat it with the soup. My husband loves their tofu soup. It was such a perfect dish since he was having his sinus on that day. Overall, we will come back to this place to their other delicious menu such as fried chicken or just a simple Galbi.

I've been here two weeks in a row now. Very short wait times both times. A pretty good list of dish options to select from including various tofu and wing options. The restaurant is fairly quiet not loud. Food is all cooked and brought out to your table. Tofu bowls are all served in stone bowls and come out boiling hot! Side dishes are included with all food orders. Tea is served upon request. All food is served nice and hot.

We were a big group of 10! We made a reservation for 8 and the restaurant was kind enough to change to 10 at the last minute. The service was great. Food came out quickly and was delicious.

I came here on a really rainy day and this was the perfect place for warm, hearty soup. My boyfriend and I ordered the beef short rib soup and the garlic pork wraps. The portions were massive! We were basically able to make this 2.5 meals and we're both pretty big eaters. The soup was so flavorful despite being light, and the short ribs had a good chew without being too stringy. The garlic pork wraps were also delicious. I ended up ordering the soup again a few days later when I had a stomachache! I'll definitely be back here sometime in the near future.

That's because it was such a convenient food delivery spot for me during the pandemic that I never bothered. This was my first in-person dining experience here. Instead of pouring contents out of takeout containers, Jamie and I were engaged in a very hands-on preparation of our hotpot order. We went with the $47.99 Medium Pork Bone Casserole which served two hearty appetites (Photo 7). It consisted of a mammoth, meaty pork rib mixed with cabbage, potato, and sesame leaf in a flavorful soybean pork broth. For even more calories, we also requested the $3.99 Ramen Noodles (Photo 5). Add the generous servings of Banchan (Photo 4), and we were assured our gluttony remained intact. It was an ideal place to take a group because 1) it was fast casual 2) everyone can put in their individual orders without the awk who's-going-to-put-their-card-in issue 3) there were 2 restaurants (Chimmelier + Oh G Burger) in 1 so more options! What I got: 8 pc sweet gochujang wings (sauce was called YANG'YUM') and a side of tots with a cup for water **the wings were from Chimmelier and the tots were from Oh G Burger We were able to combine two tables together to fit our group of 5 and the cashier brought our food over in quick succession. The tots were my fav even tho the wings were supposed to be the star of the show. I liked how they gave me PLENTY of disposable gloves because the sauce is v sticky. Gochujang is a savory, sweet Korean chili paste, but I would say it was more sweet than spicy. I enjoyed my meal but maybe would wanna try a dry rub because putting on gloves every time can be a chore. I went for a yelp elite perk once and grabbed their chicken sando which was tasty.

However, on our second trip back - we once again ordered chicken sandwiches and also shrimp toast as an appetizer. One bite into the shrimp toast and the piece was very COLD...It wasn't fully cooked so we flagged it to them. They were very apologetic and happy to take it back to warm it up. But damn!
