The menu offers several different proteins, and a vegetable option with your bowl that includes coleslaw, rice, and clear sweet potato noodles. There are also various spice levels for the sauce that goes on top of your bowl, from 1-10. In addition to their regular cupbop bowls they also have a salad option (which was not available when we were here) and a kids bowl which is maybe 1/2 the size of a regular bowl. We opted for a fried tofu bowl and a beef bowl. The fried tofu we had was fried to order and only took a few minutes to fry while the rest of our ingredients were premade. We had the sauce at the no spice/sweet level of 1. All the components went well together and there was a generous amount of protein. The only negative was that the sweet potato noodle didn't have that nice chewy texture to them. I enjoyed both the fried tofu which was lightly crispy with a custard-like center, and beef which had a tasty bulgogi(?) marinade. The sauce at level 1 is creamy and tangy. Some green leafy vegetable would be my preference for a meal like this instead of the coleslaw but the coleslaw did taste good and added some crunchy texture to the rest of the bowl. Service was fast and friendly. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest. The floors were sticky and the seat was dirty so I had to wipe the seat down with a wet paper towel. read more

I got the 9 (very hot) and I didn't find it that spicy, but I have a high tolerance. We saw this place on our way to the hotel, so decided to give it a try. This is a good novel concept as I haven't seen too many Korean fast food places around. They ran out of salad so we ordered bowls with beef, katsu and two types of fried chicken (rock and ugly). The bowl has glass noodle and rice as staples, with a bit shredded cabbage. When it was time to choose protein, the options were chicken, fried chicken, fried chicken patty, and pork... I tend to lean vegetarian so I was disappointed in the lack of options, but decided to give the pork a try. They let you choose your sauce, which was the only flavor in the bowl. My friend and I were really excited to try this place since we are visiting and saw it while walking though I am disappointed. The customer service was not the best, it seemed like no one wanted to be there and their mood was affecting the service. They seemed to not have anything such as chicken wings, kimchi, and kdawgs. I say this because I got the combo meal and wanted wings but they did not have it. With my actual meal, I wanted the "Seoul" and "Rock" as my protein. I was confused because on my reciept it just says rock x2 and it looks like there is just one protein. I shared this concern with one of the workers there and they said that both are in there which is also concerning. I dont know if they just give out 8 pieces to everyone or they just didnt care. I assume which is the main lead, did give me two kdawgs for the price of one since one of the other workers said they didnt have it but they did. About the spiciness of the sauces, I was curious about level 10 and asked the nice staffer and he made me a sample! Very kind of the young man. So, 10 is not super duper hot. If you want super duper hot, this isn't it - nor is it all Korean spices, it was hybrid blend of sriracha, some garlic chili, some mayo-ish stuff. I ended up ordering a 5 and it went well with my proteins, rice and jap chae. For fast food K-food, I'm all in and have been telling my teammate parents (here for vball tourney) about it! read more

When they first opened, I ate here about twice a week for six months. Soon after quality and consistency decline rapidly. I went back today for the first time in about four months and asked for my money back. The beef was disgusting. The flavor was completely different than what it had ever been before at any cup pop. My wife and I were very excited to come to Cupbop for the first time, having been to many Korean BBQ restaraunts, we heard this was supposed to be a similar experience. It couldn't have been further from it. The employees didn't greet us when we came in and just looked like they didn't care to even be there. The food itself was barely tasteful. My wife got the Korean Fried Chicken bowl and the chicken was barely even lukewarm which was terrible. I got the Beef which was hot but the rice was stale and seemed to have not been refreshed in a long time. All of the photos on the wall of the veggies you get in your bowl are untrue as we didn't have anything but finely shredded cabbage in our bowls. This places does an extreme disservice to Korean people and their culture. If you come here without expecting that, you may not be disappointed if you like bland food, but we don't recommend you ever even try this place. read more

This is a fast food place in downtown PHX. Its Korean, it comes in a cup, there are so many combos its hard to talk about them. I have eaten here 3 times, and will go back. Service is quick, im usually in and out under 5 minutes (your time will vary). You can make the food as spicy as you want. We went before the AJR concert. They were staffed with 2 people making orders for a lot of customers. It was quite chaotic and stressful due to how the main person was working. Very unorganized. As you can see from the pictures it looks pretty much how it should. The food was decently tasty. However the spice level was not where it was supposed to be. Not spicy at all. The combo had only 5 pieces of tofu. Which i thought was very few compared to the serving size of the other combo. I also requested no rice in one and extra veggies which was acknowledged however i think the employee was so overwhelmed the forgot to do it. Came for lunch and the line was out the door. The bowls come with a protein, shredded cabbage, yam noodles, and rice. Ordered the combo bowl which gives you the option of two proteins and everything else I listed. I decided to go with the beef bulgogi and chicken. The proteins were soggy and mushy with very little flavoring. The chicken almost look like cut up poached chicken. I opted out of the heavy mayo-based sauces they drizzle over the top and got a side of kimchi (4 oz) instead for ~$3 more. This place is very expensive and mediocre for what it is. Coming from California, we have tons of make your own bowl type places, and they're usually so generous with the different veggie options and toppings. My coworker who came in a little later said they ran out of rice. How can you run out of rice when you're a rice bowl restaurant? Hopefully they work out the kinks, but the food is mediocre at best and expensive for what it is. read more

I stopped here during WNBA All Star weekend for something quick and delicious. While I received quick service the flavor and seasoning was subpar. I ordered a doochi bop and they cooked the tofu fresh when ordered. The younger worker didn't seem very clean as he was drinking from his own water bottle right in the serving area and did not wash his hands when he began to put my order together. As he poured the tofu into my container he almost touched it with his bare hands to keep it from tumbling out. The rice, noodles, and veggies needed some kind of flavor. They were really bland and basic. I wouldn't try this place again based on the flavors and cleanliness. read more

Service and recommendations by Manager Misaela were excellent and right on point. I had the 2 protein bowl(spicy pork and chicken)with rice, noodles and a delicious side of veges. The bowl was GREAT. We ordered our food and I was a bit confused on what to do but the guy behind the counter (I think his name was Ryan) was super helpful and super funny. We were the only two there since it was near closing and he was super helpful on giving us recommendations. I got an ugly cupbop and got the 7.5 recommendation for spiciness. Overall, it was good, but I felt like the rice could've been a little bit more cooked. The place was a bit compress considering we are in downtown Phoenix. I LOVE CUPBOP, but this location is so awful. The first time we went was during Game On Expo in March 2024. The door was locked an hour early because they only had two employees on and both were in the back and it reeked of marijuana when one opened the door. The floors were dirty and the marijuana smell legit permeated. The food was cold and bland, nothing like what I was used to from Cupbop. I let it go thinking it was a once off. Then we went on Friday night (5/24/2024) after fan fusion and the line took over 30 min. The guy tried to convince me to get veggies instead of tofu because he couldn't find the tofu. I said no rice so I got a bowl of noodles and bulgogi (I am not a vegetarian so I was fine with bulgogi) but the noodles were much oilier than usual. The noodles didn't have the carrots in it like it usually does and they didn't give me or my husband cabbage. I'm just starting to think this location has employees that just don't care.
