Went for a Yelp Elite event, here's my review! PROS: - Good easy to find location. Hit or miss parking - spacious interior with bar and decent sauces - tables are nicely setup for the boil experience - the server who attended to me made me feel extremely welcome, she was very new but did a fantastic job and gave me great service! - Food was pretty good. Good portion size and the crab fried rice was bomb. Everything prepared fresh. CONS: - horrible prices. I was amused by the number people sitting in the restaurant paying outrageous prices for seafood boil that's not even fresh. My baseline is always the shrimps and mussels that are very common. Their prices for the basic stuff you can buy anywhere else is 30-40% higher. The crab prices, their main attraction, was worse and cringeworthy. Dungeness crabs are local here so the fact that they want me to pay 30-40% higher for this crab is just insane. It doesn't look like they know what they are doing, they seem very new to this state and what's available locally, as they are charging whatever they want. Their prices lack common sense. - No one in that restaurant knew about the Yelp elite event. Only the server was nice. They did not seem ready, I waited for a while during my visit and it just felt disorganized and weird. When I asked them to box up my leftovers the old lady behind the bar goes once you pay. I said no I am a Yelp elite and she gave me a blank stare. It's not well run and the staff was unfriendly and did not welcome me in. Staff needs better training on customer service. I recommend this place for appetizers and fried food. I do not recommend this place for seafood boil because it's not affordable and they don't get the boil concept at all which is supposed to be a fun communal experience. There are other boil places in the city where you can get the authentic experience without breaking the bank.

Excellent tasting battered seafood, service, and price okay for these times. I can't wait to try the five sauces again!

If you find yourself in the Seattle area definitely stop by Crawfish Chef. The food was out of this world! The Garlic noddles were on point and the waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us choose our combo. My only knock is that the floor was sticky. I would recommend this place to anyone that loves seafood.

I use to go to of a lot of crawboil places in the past by haven't been in quite some time. Going to Crawfish Chef reminds me of why I use to go frequently. The food is flavorful, plentiful, and filling. Sometimes getting down and dirty enhances the experience. Why is it that when you work for your food(peeling shells off the shrimp) makes it taste better? After trying 4 different sauce combinations with my partner. We landed on the Cajun paired with shrimp and lemon pepper paired with clams. Also got a side order of the sweet potato fries as well as the crab fries. I though the size of the clams on average were sizeable and packed with flavor, as well the shrimp. Definitely saved my corn for last since it was soaking in all the butter and sauce. It's definitely a note to end on. We didn't end up finishing our food because we were stuffed. Btw medium spicy wasn't as spicy as I was hoping for. Might be for others but I would definitely go into the next level. Barely felt the burn. Anyways, if you haven't been to a crawboil place in quite some time. If you come here. It'll unlock that memory of why you went before.

I looked forward to checking out Crawfish Chef because despite being in the PacNW, never had a seafood boil. I remember seeing folks dining with absolute bliss back at a Baltimore restaurant after attending a conference decades ago. That memory stuck with me. Parking is tight in the Roosevelt District. However, there are a variety of Metro bus lines and its proximity to the Roosevelt stop via light rail. I did manage to find a 2 hour zoned parking stop two blocks away near Roosevelt High School, score! The Homie and I were enthusiastically welcomed upon entering (4/13/26). Most likely because we arrived right at 3pm, lol. Upon seating, we were provided with menus, ice waters, and four sauce samples. This was very helpful to decide what our respective sauce bases would be. We were also provided gloves, bibs, and additional Cajun spice and lime wedges. This restaurant has floor to ceiling windows to allow for natural light, albeit tinted. Nice airy feeling with additional lighting. With the exposed ceiling, probably gets a bit loud and lively when its full capacity. Decent music playing while onsite. There's specific table and counter seating for 21+. The rest of the dining room has lots of tables with 2, 4, and 6 top configurations. This was our first visit to Crawfish Chef. Our helpful and knowledgeable waitperson, Kay, said that they had been open for approximately one year. Clearly, I had been blind when flying southbound on Roosevelt Way. There is quite the selection for beverages and the variety of menu items for apps/sides, rice & noodle dishes, seafood boil choices, seafood baskets, group combos, wings, po boy sammies, two choice kids menu, and dessert specials. Note: the posted market price on the white board for particular seafood/shellfish items. Wait staff is helpful to provide additional info about happy hour and group combo deals (like $5 cocktails at HH!). The Homie ordered garlic cheese bread and the headless shrimp with the house sauce. This comes with potato and corn in the seafood boil bag. Once opened and placed in the dining tray, he added more Cajun seasoning and lime juice. I selected the shrimp egg rolls (has also pork, taro, carrot & other veg) with sweet chili sauce (like Mae Ploy). These are generously filled four egg rolls. Terrific appetizer! I'm usually a shrimp fanatic, but decided to go a different route and selected clams with garlic butter for my seafood boil. Throughout our meal, we were checked on by Kay and her other two colleagues. Water refilled. Our respective sauces were also kindly placed in takeout containers...this will be amazing with pasta at home! Pro tips: pull out napkins out of the dispenser before placing on gloves. Definitely, don the provided gloves and bibs. Folks with long hair - time to break out the clips or scrunchies. Use the straws in your bevs. This was an enjoyable, unique, delicious, and generous dining experience. We both left full. We skipped the cocktail and dessert options this time. But after this initial try, we'll definitely be back! **Props to Kay, our wait person. She was really personable, helpful, and knowledgeable during our visit**

Fresh and well seasoned! It is always nice to see a seafood option nearby. This spot is located right in the middle of the Raveena area and is a very quick walk from the Roosevelt link station. If you are able to, I recommend linking here so you can walk around and enjoy the area after or before. If you need to drive to the area, there is a small parking garage where people are able to park for free for 2 hours or there is street parking in the neighborhoods near as well. My cousin and I stopped in for a yelp event and were able to get a pound of seafood and an appetizer. We also ordered some additional food and got combo 1 with crawfish. They also give you an opportunity to try all of the boil sauces which is very nice. We chose to go with the cajun sauce which was nice and balanced. As for the boils, we got shrimp, mussels, and crawfish which all were fresh and cooked very well. For our app, we got crab fries which were also very good. The boil was fast to come out and we very satisfied with what we got. I will be back and I am grateful for all the great seafood boil options I have around me!

Such a fun place to enjoy seafood boil! Near u district! We had shrimps (head on) with lemon butter (sauce on the side) and we also got 1lb of fresh crawfish with house sauce, along with the crab fries for a little appetizer ($17). We wanted to try the fish tacos or ceviche appetizer, but they were sold out so we ended up going with the crab fries with spicy mayo on the side. It was a great carb to help break up all the seafood it provided a nice balance. The seafood boil with sauces and the salt / lime mixture were a little bit rich after a while so I'm glad we got all the sauces on the side. Between my husband and I we actually finished all the food, but we were definitely full after the meal. Great service and fun atmosphere! They provide bibs and gloves which help keep things somewhat tidy. We have been to other locations, but glad we got to try the Seattle location this time around! Free parking for 2 hrs in the garage and also there is free street parking as well.

I love doing seafood boils a couple times a year. This is the second location I've visited, and I think Crawfish Chef may be my favorite seafood boil restaurant. The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly. Their sauce was delicious. I really appreciated that they brought out the sauces to taste test so we could see what we liked. Seafood isn't cheap so prepare for that. But the shrimp and crawfish were very good sized. It was very filling. My only complaint is the music wasn't really family friendly, but it's in the background. Not a big deal. I highly recommend this location.

Four of us came to the Crawfish Chef on Roosevelt in Seattle to try a seafood boil and specifically the Crawfish as I don't believe I've ever had these crispy crustaceans before. Everything was super flavorful and freshly prepared. The sauces that we chose were also pretty good. We had the lemon garlic butter and the Cajun butter. The boil contained crab, shrimp, and crawfish, corn on the cob and potatoes all served in our chosen lemon garlic butter. The Cajun butter cost extra and was served in a container on the side. The venue was very large with a two story ceiling which made it very spacious but loud. The server we had was super friendly and helpful and offered to open the steaming hot boil bag for us and gave us tips on using the utensils. This was a fun experience for two of my kids that joined us as they hadn't had a seafood boil before. Great event to try something new.

I regret not getting their Thai tea after seeing the photos from other Yelpers! Since it was our first time visiting, the waitress gave us a sample of their different sauces for the seafood boil. I think I liked the Garlic Butter the most, with the Lemon Pepper the second. As for the food: The crab fried rice was amazing. Separated grains that aren't clumpy is the hallmark of a good fried rice, and this one met the mark. I liked how the crab was real crab, not "krab" and it had the sweet taste of fresh crab. I think they hand pick the meat themselves since there was a bit of crab tendon in the rice (not an issue for me). Good ratio of rice to other ingredients with slices of cucumber and tomato to help refresh your palate. The catfish po boy sandwich was pretty good. The fry on the catfish is amazing. Poorly fried fish will have the breading slough off the meat in an unappetizing sheet, but this breading was rock solid and did not come off! The Cajun fries were heavily seasoned which made it a bit too salty for me. The Parmesan garlic fries - wow they give you a lot. The fries are fried a little past having the perfect fluffy interior, but I would rather slightly over fried than under fried. They do not taste fishy at all (a concern I always have when I get fried non-seafood items at a seafood place). I ate these with the garlic butter sauce sample to amp up the allium. Also, I've never had a seafood boil before, so watching other people enjoying it inspires me to get one next time. I love how it looks like the restaurant give you thick vinyl gloves to slip on before you indulge in the sensory experience of cracking into succulent seafood! The table next to ours ordered a side of white rice to drizzle the sauce over, which is an excellent idea. Definitely going to keep that in mind next time. Protip: The 1 line light rail station is one block away, so consider taking it as opposed to driving since street parking can be difficult to find.

Their crab fried rice is special. Yes I know they are a seafood boil place, but that crab fried rice was probably the best crab fried rice ive ever had. I also tried 'very well made' fried catfish basket with 'tasty' fries and a 'delicious' alcoholic drink who's name I cant remember. Dont even ask what the appetizer i ordered because we ate it so fast; Either I had to have been that hungry or it had to be that good. I do however remember my amazing service. They didnt make me feel neglected in any way and really helped us with the ordering process. Solid down do earth waitresses indeed. However, i must admit they weren't busy, which was a surprise based on the quality and price range. Meh, my food came out quick and I had amazing service ao them not being busy probably worked out in my favore. The interior was also decorated very appropriately for a seafood boil spot. Very open design that still had separate dinning zones. The mirror next to our table provided additional fun photo opportunities. Oh yea, and They passed my clean utensils test as well as my drinking water test, as most seattle area restaraunts do these days. One thing im disappointed about was missing their happy hour. Their drinks are delicious and the happy hour prices are great. Its only been a week or so and im already planning my next visit for more food and happy hour drinks....

Service: super friendly, regularly checking in you, ya get your food fast. Location: close to u district, plenty of parking by the Roosevelt track, safe neighborhood Ambience: big restaurant, clean, lots of tables, crab decor is cool Food: delicious! Crab fried rice had a nice wok hay, catfish was crunchy, Thai tea wasn't too sweet, fresh fries. Good food portions Will be back to try more of their menu! Do check them out!

Good seafood boil to try here! We had their combo with snow crab and shrimp and it was good! You're able to choose their sauce prior to have it cooked with the seafood. I forgot which one it was (likely had garlic), but it was pretty good! The snow crab was very tasty and there was a decent amount of it. The shrimp was okay. The biggest problem for me was that it was a bit overcooked. It also came with corn and potatoes which was nice. The service was iffy. The server was nice, but the service was extremely slow. It seemed they were short staff as well. The combo cost around $70 which is a bit pricey. The ambiance is decent. There's plenty of seating but I didn't enjoy how all of the TVs were playing kid shows.

Two problems though. I am apparently in the minority that I think bacon is raw if not crispy so ended up putting it aside. Second issue was the "L" portion was a large piece of iceberg core. Not really lettuce, guys..... So I basically had a salmon sandwich with a slice of tomato and some flavorful tartar sauce. The fish and chips were also cooked perfectly and were inhaled. If I come back I would just grab food from the take out side and sit on the dock.

The waiter brought us water and returned shortly afterwards to take our order. PRO TIP: Try going at happy hour daily from 3-6pm for great food and drink specials. We started with fried calamari and oyster shooters as appetizers, and the Ivar's fish and chips as our main entry. I paired my meal with the local Space Dust IPA . The appetizers arrived about 10 minutes later. The calamari was delicious, meaty, crispy but not over cooked. The oyster shooters were fresh and delicious. The fish and chips arrived a few minutes later. It was truly the star of our meal. The cod was moist and clean tasting. The fries were fresh tasting. The combination of lemon, malt vinegar and tartar sauce were great condiments. The only minor disappointment was the service that was slow. Although still highly recommended for great Seattle PMW culinary experience.

You can choose to sit outside, but it was a bit windy when I went, so I decided to sit inside. I ordered the oysters, and they were all fresh and tasty. I also got the chips and clam dip, which ended up being my favorite dish. It was really flavorful and definitely something I'd order again. I also tried the signature chicken and clams. The clams were clean and cooked well, but in my opinion, they could have used a bit more depth of flavor, a tiny bit bland. The chicken was good overall, though I think a different sauce would have paired with it better. The service was attentive, and the vibes were great. Everything was nicely decorated and fit the waterfront atmosphere.

The depth of flavor and uniqueness of each dish was incredible. Cocktails: I got the Carajillo Frosty. This was WAY too strong to where I could hardly taste anything but the alcohol. It sounded like a fun drink, but I was tipsy before our first dish arrived and I didn't even finish the drink. Oyster Shooters- Cool concept, not great execution. If we are adding fun things like Mezcal and Jalapeno vinegar I was thinking something magical would happen in my mouth. Instead, my tastebuds were seared and my stomach was questioning if it would keep everything down. This is a hard pass. Oysters: They go from sweetest to most briny on the menu. So we got top two sweetest, followed by two in the middle and the last two. It was fun because we were really able to tell a difference in taste this way. I found out Im a sweeter oyster gal while my husband enjoyed the brinier one. With our oysters we got a glass of the NV Azimut Cava Brut Nature-excellent with all of the oysters! We will get this glass again. Next, clams. This is a MUST GET! The broth was outstanding and a different vibe from your typical "clams in white wine broth". Next, Pork Belly. I usually love Pork Belly, and this was mentioned as a must try a lot in the reviews, so that's why we got it. But the Pork Belly is definitely Pork Belly-ing here. Super rich (normal), and the accompanying flavors were strong and also fatty. It was a little heavy for us on this night. Great option if you don't like seafood, but if you do, go for the Halibut instead. We had a couple next to us who got the Halibut and I could smell that we missed out on that dish. So I would highly recommend you get the Halibut (even though we never tried it. I can just tell it's amazing). Dessert was Spiced Chocolate Pot De Creme. Again, fantastic! I honestly wasn't expecting this to be so good but the chef hit it out of the park. Really this review is more so I can remember what I got and liked/didn't like and can order the winners again. Because we will definitely be back!

Of course - we started with a dozen oysters, and the staff was kind enough to accommodate our off menu request for oyster shooters. If you're an oyster lover, definitely ask! The biggest surprise was the fish tacos - they're huge! The waiter said they would be 8 inches long, they weren't kidding lol I ordered the rockfish, and it was incredibly fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor. We also had a little 'dinghy' of clam chowder, which is their adorable mini serving! Honestly, it's one of the best clam chowders I've ever had. Even if you're ordering something else, get the dinghy so you don't get fomo. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed beautiful views of the sailboats while we ate, which made brunch scenic. I'd definitely come back!

They will not check in on you. Food was a waste of money in that the quality was poor, it was nasty, greasy, and overpriced frozen aisle quality. My experience was miserable and to be honest I doubt the staff cares. You can tell they are all punching the clock for a tip and that's as far as it goes.
