    No one was here....

Our experience here was awful, start to finish. We docked our boat and were able to find spots, so we headed in. The host did not want to seat us and tried to put us on a waitlist, even though the restaurant was practically empty. I counted maybe 5 parties max. When we told her we couldn't wait, she seated us without issue, which made the whole thing even more confusing. The service was terrible. It took forever to get drinks, and they were just okay. Most of the staff was hanging out at the bar for some reason, and one of them had an attitude when I simply asked where the bathroom was. Just truly so bad and hurtful. I usually give restaurants the benefit of the doubt, but this was not acceptable. We got the radish salad, and my husband got the oysters. He said they were amazing, and honestly that was the only highlight of our time there. Then the bill came and was completely wrong. Not one or two small errors, majorly wrong. We left feeling disrespected and disappointed, and we won't be making that mistake again. I truly hope things improve, because they have a lovely space.

We made a reservation on OpenTable, there is minimalistic seating inside, bartop and in their covered patio (with waterside views). We placed our order relatively quickly & the interior vibes/bathroom were nice. Fair warning: There is a 22% gratuity tip added on to bills automatically. The menu was limited with small and large plates, it seems their main food is the raw bar, food is family style & comes out as it is cooked. A bit slower kitchen service wise. - Baked Oysters (spicy!) - decent flavor - meat was not too dry - Potatoes (we liked this the most) - Seared Halibut (salty, but the dill sauce was good) - Manila Clams I think the main entrees were decent but nothing to write home about, our fave was the potatoes. Stars for the great service but the flavor of the food was not really up our alley, a bit too heavy handed on salt and flavors-- option if they had salt in side for the potatoes. The seared halibut was good but the sauce was overpowering the natural taste of the fish.

Westward is a beautiful upscale spot right on the water -- perfect for soaking in those Seattle views. Both times I've been here I've sat at the bar and found the bartender super friendly and helpful. The oysters are incredibly fresh, the wine list is thoughtful and local, and every dish feels elevated without being pretentious. It's the kind of place where you can linger over a long meal and just enjoy the view- right over the lake! It's my go to first stop in the neighborhood and always excited to see their salad option, my favorite so far as been a decadent burrata. A must-visit for anyone who loves great seafood, good wine, and that classic Pacific Northwest vibe.

Guys, definitely a deck to find during beautiful Seattle weather! Steady stream of respectful SUP'ers dropping in right between Westward and Gasworks Brewing - lots of action to watch on the water. Lots of drop-in business but it looks like they take reservations as well. Waitstaff is AWESOME - everyone checking in you even if not your assigned server. The crab roll is a definite bell-ringer - very fresh and flavorful. I had the braised pork birria, which is a fun and light homage to chilaquiles. Also got recommendation on a selection from an extremely thorough oyster list and she brought me some bay water indigos which ate very clean and bright - I would highly recommend. View from three rows in on the deck under a bright umbrella of...umbrellas! Note: this is a Service Fee restaurant, and when I asked I heard that approximately 50% ends up with the staff. But sounds like they also get some pay-out during winter months when most a laid off until the weather turns. I chose to give a bit more (which goes 100% to staff) as a thanks for the attentiveness today. Also head's up - only like 5 parking spots on property - but a ton of back-in angle parking on the frontage road, Northlake Way.

    Salmon. Too salty

Beautiful view but food over priced for what you get. The service wasn't great and they add the 22% tip on your bill. The salmon over toast was too salty. We got the dozen oysters and the menu did not list the price. Once the bill came, the oysters alone was $120. I am not cheap by any means but that was over the top. We will not be going back anytime soon.

Been coming here for years now given how close it is to our office. Great for drinks and perhaps a large volume of small dishes (even their "large" plates are tiny). High quality, but if you're hungry, you'll probably need to do a few rounds. Views and vibe are top notch, and service is excellent.

Sub-par experience accompanied with a great ambience and view. The food was okay, with the dill dip being a favorite of ours. The problem I have is with the pricing of the items. I generally do not have an issue as Seattle is an expensive city to dine however, the quality of food does not justify the price points of each respective item. Additionally, there is a 22% service charge added which does not include the tip amount. Overall, the food was average and pricing is quite absurd, but the view is certainly beautiful!

I love this restaurant, beautiful exterior and interior. Sunny weathers in Seattle always takes me back to this restaurant to have dinner by the water. They source the freshest seafood in town and I love all the rotating dishes they have on their menu. My favorite so far has been the seared halibut (cooked to perfection and the top is crispy - yum!). Service is phenomenal like always. Our server checks in from time to time to make sure we have wine in our glasses and I'm glad she knows her oysters! I told her I prefer the sweeter side of things, and she recommended a few that I absolutely loved.

Lovely view rain or shine. Parking could be a challenge during peak time and non happy hour menus can be quite pricy BUT the happy hour deals are great here and the service is top notch. I am not an oyster eater but my friends confirmed the oysters were good~ i liked their NA cocktail options as well because they actually resemble the taste and complexity of an actual cocktail. The potatoes, salads, dips and clams are all super delicious! I love the oyster candle stand that they have so much haha what a cute touch!

An amazing date night! So for those of you who do not know, Westward is one of the amazing restaurants in the family created by award winning chef Renee Erickson. (Personally i've made it my goal to visit them all, because they never disappoint) Here you'll find waterfront dining located on Lake Union with cozy beachside Adirondack chairs, a giant outdoor fire pit, and cheery picnic table styled dining. Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Obviously the menu is seafood themed with the star of the show (IMO) being the fresh, locally sourced oysters! Unless you have a choice of oysters I recommend the shuckers choice to try a variety. Also TIP *THE THAI CHILI SAUCE ON THE OYSTERS IS A GAME CHANGER* We tried a bit of everything (dont judge): hehe CHICKPEA FRITTERS: DELICIOUS moist creamy interior with a crispy outside. 10/10 DILL DIP: Very tart. I personally wasn't a fan, but the server graciously traded it out for the SPICY CLAM DIP which was 10/10 SEARED HALIBUT: ABSOLUTELY Devine 10/10 BEN'S BREAD: *SALTY* but delicious 8/10 And finally. The show stopper the BASQUE CHEESECAKE.....there are no words. Absolute heaven. Also highly recommend the "Les Fleurs" - an amazing cocktail with passion tea vodka. Ambiance 10/10 Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Drinks 10/10 Looking forward to visiting in the future for brunch!!!

Westward is hands down my favorite oyster spot in Seattle. From the presentation of plates, homemade vinaigrette, and hot sauce are meticulously crafted, making each bite a delight (although neither of the sauces are needed for the oysters). The view of downtown Seattle and Lake Union from the patio adds to the experience, and the diverse menu never disappoints--I've celebrated many occasions here. The only drawback is the pricing; a small ramekin of hot sauce costs $4, which feels a bit excessive. Still, Westward's quality and ambiance make it a standout dining experience.

Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent ambience! We had oysters, dill dip, clam dip, burgers, and crab rolls. Everything was great and Mario was an excellent server who provided us with great suggestions and a list of hot spots to visit!

When is the happy hour? What are the happy hour deals/prices please?

No deals at this place!!!! Tremendously over-priced and terrible menu. Don't consider it.

Are there options that are dairy free other than raw oysters?

    Is the outdoor patio dog-friendly?

    Is there parking at Westward?

Minimal parking in the Westward lot, but you can park along the road running in front of the restaurant. Note that there are people living along there in RVs, etc.

    Do they take walk-ins?

Yes. But if it's nice weather it might be a long wait. I went at 6pm on a Saturday with one friend...and we were seated immediately. Bigger parties might be more difficult to seat without a reservation.

What are their Happy Hour hours?

Drink specials, $2 oysters, small bites specials

We tried the smoked salmon dip with chips, the fried chicken sandwich and the the black cod kasusuke. The crab rolls were sold out by the time we got there or we definitely would have tried those. The salmon dip was good, lots of dill, and the chips were crispy. The fried fish sandwich was light, which was nice for something fried, and the roll it was on was soft and warm. The black cod kasusuke was my favorite dish of the meal. The black cod was tender and fell apart, and it was seasoned so nice. It came with a spinach salad and rice which was also delicious. If I could give half stars, this would be pushing a 4.5. Nothing blew me away, but everything was fresh and enjoyable!

So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean -- no grit, no sand. Get it. It was so delicious. Then came the crab Benedict. The side salad alone was worth writing home about -- big, buttery, peppery leaves draped in one of those feather-light vinaigrettes that sounds simple until you try to replicate it at home and realize you can't. But the real star of the entire plate was the potatoes. Crispy outside, genuinely fluffy inside, seasoned with conviction. A masterpiece is not too strong a word. Closed with a glass of pink wine. Have to admit at being disappointed in my latest experience at Dukes…read more It was about three weeks ago, the last Sunday in May. Went with my husband and met some family for lunch. We got there first, as the rest of the family went to the wrong location. So my husband and I were just there drinking water and waiting for them for a while. -I asked our waiter to please. "keep the water coming". Anyway, everyone finally arrived and we got things ordered. The food arrived in a timely way. Unfortunately, I have to report that their prices have gone quite high. I know most restaurants have had to raise their prices, but considering the food, both my husband, and myself felt that their prices were prohibitive, and with that in mind, we probably will not be back for quite a while. My hubbs had their lobster mac & cheese, which he gave a 7 out of 10. I had their lobster roll, which frankly, I could only give a 5 out of 10. It wasn't very flavorful, and definitely needed the dipping sauces that were served with it. Rather awkwardly put together as well, which made it kind of messy. Just kind of hard to eat. I did really enjoy their sweet potato fries though. Everyone else had various seafood dishes, which looked good, and one had a burger, which looked absolutely delicious. (I was kind of jealous once I saw it.) The service was good to begin with, but we had to flag down the waiter for water more than once. And towards the end of the meal, I was having some of that dipping sauce with the last of my sandwich; it was on the spicy side and I was out of water. Tried several times to get the waiter's attention, but it didn't work, and I had to literally yell at him to bring me some water. It was a little embarrassing, but I really needed it, & I was getting kind of mad! I mean, after all, I had made a point early on of asking him to refill the water. So that really kind of pissed me off. Because neither myself nor my husband had ordered any other beverage, & we really needed that water something fierce!! So obviously, I have mixed feelings on Dukes at this point. If money is no object, I'd say sure, go here and enjoy something tasty. But make sure you order some beverages so you don't have to count on the waiters for water!!!

Because we were so close to our dining neighbors, I was actually able to ask them what they were eating since it looked so good. And that's how we ended up with some mind blowing fritters. A perfect appetizer to start the night. They have a great selection of wines that are actually reasonably priced to buy by the bottle. I'm pretty sure I saw someone taking one home that they drank a few bottles out of also, which is a first. I was impressed by the creativity of the dishes as well. I'm not one to be impressed by cabbage, or ever order it, but the charred cabbage looked enticing. The cheese on the bottom, seasoning, and dates transformed this ordinary vegetable into a star. And of course you gotta see what they're doing with the seasonal veggies. I can't seem to ever cook squash the right way, but they crafted it into the ideal consistency where it was almost meaty. That New York Strip was out of this world though... the garlic sauce that accompanied it was just enough of a flavor enhancer that it didn't take away from a steak that was cooked to the ideal temp. The waiter brought us water and returned shortly afterwards to take our order. PRO TIP: Try going at happy hour daily from 3-6pm for great food and drink specials. We started with fried calamari and oyster shooters as appetizers, and the Ivar's fish and chips as our main entry. I paired my meal with the local Space Dust IPA . The appetizers arrived about 10 minutes later. The calamari was delicious, meaty, crispy but not over cooked. The oyster shooters were fresh and delicious. The fish and chips arrived a few minutes later. It was truly the star of our meal. The cod was moist and clean tasting. The fries were fresh tasting. The combination of lemon, malt vinegar and tartar sauce were great condiments. The only minor disappointment was the service that was slow. Although still highly recommended for great Seattle PMW culinary experience.

Got seated almost immediately in a way better spot than last time. That's positive. Service wasnt as good by a large margin. Food quality was down. Snow crab legs were dried out. I had to fight the usual suspects for crab again Some loudmouth lady from renton im guessing almost set me off into a verbal altercation. I wasn't aware you take EBT. That clientele usually is absent from places like this. Maybe her crooked wig made her testy. Who knows. Anyways im not paying premium prices for mediocre service and have to also suffer the wrath of hoodrats. Over it. Refund me please. I waited 30 minutes to find a manager to no avail. Could be amazing. Needs work. Thats all. I'd be remiss if I didnt mention the very professional young black lady at the kiosk upfront. She was polite and helpful while the other girls were gossiping and looking at their phones. Just saying. Thats all.

My son and I came here and are definitely looking to return soon! I'm just sad I was too full for their desserts...I think it was bread flavored ice cream or something and supposedly it's a trip. The place is small, cozy, upscale-rustic. The server was friendly, explained the dishes, and had recommendations when we asked. He told us the story about the desserts and aaaaaalmost won us over.

We got 4 appetizers, a pasta, an entree, and dessert. My fav items were the shrimp in polenta (shrimp was crispy without seemingly any breading, perfectly cooked and flavored) and the lamb skewers (well seasoned and cooked. Big fan of lamb in general). I also liked the deviled egg on kimchi, though it didn't taste like kimchi very much. The salad had too much dressing unfortunately and the crostini was interesting. We got a few drinks but my main impression is that they are strong! SERVICE Service here was so great and friendly. I only saw 2 front of house and 1 back of house so it's a small place. The front of house also bartend and make the drinks. I do wish the front of house explained the dishes a little more when they brought out the food. They told us the name of the dishes but as I was eating I realized it would've been nice to get a better idea of what was in it exactly, or halfway through I'd think "wait what else is in this?" AMBIANCE Tastefully decorated, small, and intimate. It was not busy when we came at all, with only up to 4 other tables having diners. I think this allowed the staff to focus on each table a little better without being overwhelmed. Overall had a good time. I admittedly wasn't blown out of the water but for $89/person for a fancier meal, I would say this is priced right for what you get (food, service, and ambiance included).

starting off, i was pleasantly surprised by the portion of sourdough bread given prior to the meal…read more- as I wasn't expecting that the bread wasn't anything special - but i did like the outside; found it to be pretty crispy. also, i liked the fact that they gave you butter as a dip, although it wasn't easy to spread it on the sourdough as it was just one big block i thought the main part of this dish, the salmon sliders, were quite good, however this came in three separate 'sliders', each with a base of rosemary bread, a sliced tomato, and a portion of salmon, topped with pesto the actual salmon itself was ok - personally i thought it was a bit stringy and chewy, but otherwise not bad. being brushed with oil certainly helped with the taste however, the other aspects of the slider were fantastic normally, i don't like tomatoes, but it fit really well with this dish. the flavor was there but not overpowering i also quite liked the pesto as a condiment - there was a solid amount on there - and it added a nutty texture that was good the best part of these sliders, however, was the rosemary bread. this was exquisitely good - it was crispy, herby, buttery, and served as an incredible base for the sandwich as a whole. i absolutely loved every bite of this the other thing that was a great touch was placing the sliders on the bottom of the bread rather than the 'more fluffy' side. this ensured that the bread wouldn't get soggy from the tomato/salmon and had it retain its crunchiness to the maximum three sliders was also a pretty good portion size another thing i enjoyed was the salad. a lot of places think that lots of dressing, often oil, is necessary to make a good salad, but this place managed to deliver something that tasted really good and had nice flavor with the use of little to no dressing. i'm impressed at the end of my meal, i got a carrot cake from the dessert menu this was decently sized, and the cream cheese frosting on this had a wonderful flavor i didn't taste the carrot as much in the inside of the cake, but i could tell it was still baked well, and the frosting added a great touch i would say its more of a cupcake than a cake, however i came during happy hour, so for the price of about $14, the sourdough bread + the salmon sliders were a pretty good value i can't say the same for the carrot cake - as while it was good - about 9 dollars is a little too expensive for that

cute neighborhood spot for breakfast or lunch in the greenlake vicinity…read more the menu has a pretty even mix of mexican and traditional american breakfast fare but i was drawn in by the plantains so ordered katracho minus the chorizo (they grilled some tomatoes for me as a substitute.) they were fairly busy for a sunday morning and one observation i had when the food came to the table was the differing temperatures of items. my eggs were not hot but the plantains were, indicating some things had been sitting around while others had been recently prepared. the beans were in a small cup in the middle and had good flavor but also lukewarm. i didn't expect everything listed in the menu to be cut and arranged around the plate as it was. this dish had a toast or coffee cake side order and opted for sourdough; there was raspberry freezer jam on the take. taste-wise the dish was good and the service was fine. all in all, while it wasn't a standout experience it was totally acceptable on a number of levels and others appeared to be enjoying the location's offerings as well.
