This spot is located in Great Notion! We love Great Notion and were excited to try the wings here. You have to buy the wings in sets of ten which was a little disappointing since we couldn't try multiple flavors. We ended up going with lemon pepper jerk chicken hot honey (yes that is one flavor) and it was underwhelming. Tots were just okay, maybe a little too garlicky.

Oh my goodness! I thought it was good, but it is GREAT!! Busy place, so have some patience, but oh is it SO worth it! The food is amazing and the portions are huge!! It is connected to the brewery, Great Notion, is is a quaint spot but it will be PACKED on the summer so check out the dining room now!

Back for the second time! Ordered hush puppies , a catfish po'boy and burgers. Food and ambiance were excellent! We will be back!

Food and service were excellent! Here for them second time and our favorite are the hush puppies with hot honey!

    Wings are crispy and delicious!

So happy to be back today for some awesome beers and super tasty Po'Boy & Tings!! The food ...so good and the people are friendly. We wish we were to live in the neighborhood walking distance to this heavenly place. Did I mention the wings are some of the best?

I recently had the catfish poboy. It was just okay. It looked better than it tasted. I can't put my finger on why it wasn't that great, but it was just very "meh". The fries were really good though. Services is okay. They always seem to struggle with service, regardless of how busy the place is. But they are nice. Ambience is what you'd expect at a place like this. It's nice that Crawfish Chef is fairly close to where I live. My party of 5 came here at 1:45pm on a Sunday. Parking was plentiful at this time in the strip mall. I was surprised at how many people were there considering it was just past lunchtime, but we were able to get seated immediately. The menu has the usual Viet-Cajun flare, where you want to eat seafood boil or items cooked from the kitchen. I noticed that there was the option to order headless shrimp for those of you who are squeamish about shrimp heada. I ordered a pound of head-on shrimp with added corn tossed in House Sauce at Medium Spicy. The shrimp had nice texture, the corn was sweet and the sauce was pretty decent. We were provided gloves which was very nice. The server was very attentive and refilled my drink when she saw it was getting low. Overall, we had a nice experience and thought this place was pretty solid. If I had one suggestion it would be to have a stock of wet naps considering that this is the type of establishment where you eat with your hands and there is no sink outside of the bathroom.

Crawfish King DO BETTER!!!! ***UPDATE*** I received a response to the email I sent regarding hair in my son's crawfish. The person quickly responded by saying it could've been a shrimp whisker. Ummm excuse me sir/ma'am this is not my first, second or third boil and I'm full on aware of what hair looks like as opposed to a shrimp whisker. Now mind you I spent $109.22 and alls I'm asking is to be refunded for the $22 crawfish. But being made to feel like I'm attempting to get over. Literally going back and forth with this person. The area may not be the best to be alone at night, but if you can brave the place, you can get anything you want from pho to seafood boils. We've come here a few times with family. The pho is a specialty because it comes out in a big stone bowl where you add the ingredients yourself so it is nice and piping hot, which my family enjoys. There are seafood boils and the combos usually come with a side (we usually choose sweet potato or curly fries) which is a nice touch and it is reasonably priced and decently tasty. We've tried some of the other things like escargot on the menu (they were too chewy but the salted egg yolk flavor was different) and they had a famous beef hotpot that I was honestly very disappointed in (it was very pricey for a small portion of noodles/beef/etc and did not feed as many people as it proclaimed). The chef cooks really fast; so, we were impressed. Food quality: we ordered Dungeness crabs and the menu has no price except "Market price". After all, all raw food prices are determined by the market, don't they? So, what does it mean? When a seafood restaurant says market price, it implies the price is determined by the local market, since they are fresh catch and the prices changes almost everyday. When we were served the crabs, one bite into the center, it was cold, almost frozen. OK, someone doesn't know how to cook crabs. So, I skipped the center of the crabs and go to the legs. The meat in the legs are still sweet (which is good), like most crab meat, but there were stringy and do not have the firm succulent texture of a fresh catch. And, the after taste has a slight fishy smell. No fresh crabs have fishy smell. I have eaten many Dungeness crabs in my life, and have bought fresh live ones and cook them myself. They do not taste like this. These tasted like they were in the freezer for weeks, may be months. I have no idea where they source their crabs but 3-4 bites of it did not convince me that these were fresh catch but looks like the owners had the confidence to demand MARKET PRICE when they were frozen crabs. Verdict: will I return? Definitely no. I want to see some honesty, please.
