This spot is located in Great Notion! We love Great Notion and were excited to try the wings here. You have to buy the wings in sets of ten which was a little disappointing since we couldn't try multiple flavors. We ended up going with lemon pepper jerk chicken hot honey (yes that is one flavor) and it was underwhelming. Tots were just okay, maybe a little too garlicky.

Oh my goodness! I thought it was good, but it is GREAT!! Busy place, so have some patience, but oh is it SO worth it! The food is amazing and the portions are huge!! It is connected to the brewery, Great Notion, is is a quaint spot but it will be PACKED on the summer so check out the dining room now!

    Wings are crispy and delicious!

So happy to be back today for some awesome beers and super tasty Po'Boy & Tings!! The food ...so good and the people are friendly. We wish we were to live in the neighborhood walking distance to this heavenly place. Did I mention the wings are some of the best?

We came in pretty late too and he still let all of us sit and eat. The foods were 10/10. Portions were also 10/10. Service? It was beyond what we expected. He even gave us homemade juices and it was amazing! The kumquats ones. We even brought some back to the hotel. The claw machine and the cotton candy machine was a nice touch! My son and daughter LOVES it and the owner was still chatting with us. The prices were much cheaper than what we'd get in Portland. My biggest issue, is how well the seafood is cleaned. During my last visit, I noticed that non of the shrimp was cleaned. That grossed me out. If I went again, would avoid getting that. I recently had the catfish poboy. It was just okay. It looked better than it tasted. I can't put my finger on why it wasn't that great, but it was just very "meh". The fries were really good though. Services is okay. They always seem to struggle with service, regardless of how busy the place is. But they are nice. Ambience is what you'd expect at a place like this. Nothing spectacular, but not dirty. I would love if they had a better ventilation system. The friend smells and spices are extremely strong! Overall, a solid restaurant, but if you're looking for a place with high quality seafood, may want to find another spot.

Our waitress was incredibly attentive and seemed to anticipate exactly what we needed, bringing out napkins, extra limes, and tools before we even had to ask. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, and there is plenty of parking since it is located in a shared complex with other stores. It's nice that Crawfish Chef is fairly close to where I live. My party of 5 came here at 1:45pm on a Sunday. Parking was plentiful at this time in the strip mall. I was surprised at how many people were there considering it was just past lunchtime, but we were able to get seated immediately. The menu has the usual Viet-Cajun flare, where you want to eat seafood boil or items cooked from the kitchen. I noticed that there was the option to order headless shrimp for those of you who are squeamish about shrimp heada. I ordered a pound of head-on shrimp with added corn tossed in House Sauce at Medium Spicy. The shrimp had nice texture, the corn was sweet and the sauce was pretty decent. We were provided gloves which was very nice. The server was very attentive and refilled my drink when she saw it was getting low. Overall, we had a nice experience and thought this place was pretty solid. If I had one suggestion it would be to have a stock of wet naps considering that this is the type of establishment where you eat with your hands and there is no sink outside of the bathroom.

The area may not be the best to be alone at night, but if you can brave the place, you can get anything you want from pho to seafood boils. We've come here a few times with family. The pho is a specialty because it comes out in a big stone bowl where you add the ingredients yourself so it is nice and piping hot, which my family enjoys. There are seafood boils and the combos usually come with a side (we usually choose sweet potato or curly fries) which is a nice touch and it is reasonably priced and decently tasty. We've tried some of the other things like escargot on the menu (they were too chewy but the salted egg yolk flavor was different) and they had a famous beef hotpot that I was honestly very disappointed in (it was very pricey for a small portion of noodles/beef/etc and did not feed as many people as it proclaimed). I would stick to the regular things on the menu here. Service can be a bit spotty again, because they are so busy.
