The service was great, and the owner himself was really nice, funny, and took the time to explain the menu to us, including some customer favorites which I appreciated. The ambiance is chill, friendly, and clean, definitely the kind of spot you can relax and enjoy your food in. They have a lot of great options too. The ambiance is great. The bar there is very well done, lots of attention to detail. From that perspective labeling it as a food truck does a disservice to those who aren't looking for a sit down experience and don't realize they're going to miss it. From the service perspective, not being able to speak to the menu is just so disrespectful to the chef. The worst answer you can give to the question, "what's good," or "what do you like?" Is, it's all terrible, the second worst response is, "it's all good." Just so lazy as a server. With that level of help and discussion, you might as well just give me a kiosk. We ended up getting the Po'Boy, it was pretty meh. The breading was light and crispy, but there was a lot of it. The sauce was a bit too garlicky. read more

This spot is located in Great Notion! We love Great Notion and were excited to try the wings here. You have to buy the wings in sets of ten which was a little disappointing since we couldn't try multiple flavors. Oh my goodness! I thought it was good, but it is GREAT!! Busy place, so have some patience, but oh is it SO worth it! The food is amazing and the portions are huge!! For the price of each sandwich, you would think the food is da bomb. Unfortunately it is not. I can't taste the catfish whatsoever, all I got was the batter. Shrimp Po'Boy is a bit better but still way too much batter. If you haven't had better, you would probably like the food. last wk I believe on.7/2 or 7/3 ordered 2 hamburgers and 2 Oyster po'boy large, The hamburgers were good but on the oysters they were very chewing and i only had maybe 4 oysters on mine and my grandsons sandwich, if you look at there menu you'll see it shows more than that especially being a large sandwich,I've ordered once before no issues. read more

I was in the area and stumbled across this place. The food is cooked fresh to order which I LOVE! We were helped immediately and the owner is very respectful and good at what he does! The shrimp and hot link was delicious, the catfish wasn't our favorite, but I would come back to try the chicken and shrimp po'boy combo. Most of my family is from Louisiana and I didn't think it was possible to have good southern food in Seattle! Stopped in at the great notion, and noticed that they served more than burgers. I ordered a catfish po' boy with all the fixings and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a good sandwich outside of the Deep South. I've found it at last -- top-tier Creole cooking in Seattle! These fine folks were at the Bale Breaker & Yonder Cider Taproom in Ballard and I'm so glad I gave their Shrimp Po'Boy a chance. It was as authentic as it comes. Crispy flavorful shrimp, tangy pickles, and a remoulade sauce that was so tasty I could eat it with a spoon. Not to mention they give you like two pounds of fries with your order haha. Bonus points for them being great people. I'll definitely go out of my way to eat from their truck again, and you should too. read more
