    Pacific cod 3pc

If you love fish and french fries, this is your thing! The fish was perfectly cooked and breaded, resulting in the perfect flavor, thickness, and crunch. The french fries are crunchy and flavorful as well. The garlic fries were a great addition to add some kick! Service was great, the man was very nice and brought our food to us. He also was playing The Temptations and Al Green, which I thought was a great touch! Cute coastal calm presence, and i would definitely come back! Pics are the pacific cod 3 pc, and the garlic fries!

If you like feta and garlic, do not sleep on Not Just Fish n Chips' Smoked Garlic Fries!

We have been going here since they opened and it has been ages since my previous review so I thought I would post an update. If you like feta and garlic, do not sleep on Not Just Fish n Chips' Smoked Garlic Fries! I decided to upgrade my 2 pc fish n chips to them on a whim, and now I fear I may never be able to go back to regular. The upgrade is $5, which I kind of thought was steep, but I was delighted to find they give you a lot more than the standard amount! I got this whole container full. It ended up being worth it for me. Their fries are SO good. They are the kind that stay crispy and delicious, even after they cool down. The golden crinkle cut fries were tossed in smoked garlic butter, feta, green onions, and roasted pepper sauce -- I am looking forward to going back already, just to get those again! And the fish - as it has been every time, perfectly crispy and hot. Flakey and delicious. I always appreciate that they package the coleslaw on the side with the tarter and lemon, in its own little container. Their coleslaw is probably my favorite for this kind of meal. Still very thankful to still have this neighborhood eatery nearby.

I have to say that for a one man show, the man has it down pat. I had the 2 piece fish and chips as you can see. The cod is very fresh in taste, deep fried to perfection. It was thick, juicy and flaky with a crispy exterior. The French fries were crispy and crunchy with a fluffy interior. My order arrived with a side of creamy coleslaw and I ate that up in about 3 or 4 bites. The gentleman who is the star of the show, offers a nice cold pitcher of water for the table and he literally brings food from out of the kitchen to personally hand the food to the patrons with to go orders. I thought it was a nice personal touch. 10/10 for me. Parking is tight as there are 4 business sharing but you can walk over from the Safeway. This place is a hole in the wall but the food is amazing.

Great customer service. It was not busy the night we had dinner. Parking is slightly difficult as the lot fills up fast. My salmon sandwich was decent. Prepared nicely. My son opted for a chicken sandwich and was unimpressed, but that's probably his fault for having chicken and not fish. Would definitely try this local spot again.

Great food- I got the butterflied prawns and subbed out the regular fries for the feta and garlic loaded fries. SO good. I am not normally a coleslaw fan, but loved the coleslaw. Great tartar. Just all around an excellent meal.

Visiting from out of town and looking for great seafood. We passed by this little spot in a strip mall several times and wondered how it was. Not just fish and chips delivers! Yummy cod and the reviews on the tartar sauce were right. It was probably some of the best tartar sauce I've ever had. The person who helped us was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Been debating on gate keeping this family hole in the wall spot. I'm not capping when i say this is better than any place in pikes hands down. Their portioning size may look alright but all their food hits once you start eating. Perfectly seasoned fries and their in house tartar sauce got me questioning if this is the only way fish should be done. Bulk approved

I ordered the fish & chips, prawns, and smoked salmon bisque. I arrived to the restaurant with only one person behind the counter and he served/prepared everything. I really enjoyed the fish & chips and prawns as the breading was perfect where it is crispy and thin. I wish there's a bit of seasoning or salt on the fish but overall wonderful texture of the cod. I'm not a huge fan of the smoked salmon bisque as it has a sour taste to it which is not what I expected. Would come back and try their sandwiches.

Excellent food. I got the combo (loved the cod, and it was nice to try the salmon - both were crispy and delicious but I preferred the cod) Fries were 10/10 My husband got the fried chicken sandwich- he ate everything in his order. Have loved everything I've ever ordered here.

The store is small. 4 tables and a long table Each seats 2 to 4 per table. Total of 16 seats. However the guy helping us was very friendly. They sell store made tartar sauce to take home. We got an order of fish and chips cod and fish and chips salmon. Cold slaw. Comes with. And an order of clam chowder. The clam chowder was very tasty with big chunks of clams and potatoes. The cod was a favorite although the salmon was good too the coating was crisp and yummy. Even the Cole slaw was a thumbs up. The serving size is a good amount. This restaurant is a little out of our neighborhood, however if we are passing by we will pull over.

Delicious cod, French fries and Cole slaw. Tartar sauce was great too!

One day when walking around Green Lake and getting hungry, I decided to give it a try. Not sure if I got lucky on that day (it was a Sunday), but the customer service was noticeably wonderful. The cashier greeted us with a big smile and just seemed so welcoming & attentive. I haven't had service like that in awhile around here. As for food, just wanted to go simple & got the cod fish and chips. This being a local chain, I didn't expect much. When I bit into the fish, it was way better than I expected. Crunchy on the outside, soft & flaky on the inside, and most important, flavorful! Sometimes when I get fish & chips, the fish is bland. Not here. The fries could've used salt, but otherwise they were nice. The condiments were great too. Tartar sauce, lemon, & vinegar (I think it had garlic in it?). There were also various hot sauces that were near the register. When my partner grabbed one of the hot sauce bottles, the two workers behind the counter noticed and confirmed that he made a choice they would have made as well! It was a cold day so most people sat inside. As we ate, more people arrived and I realized there weren't enough tables for them, so it got a little crowded. The prices are a bit high, but overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and will return!

It was so insanely flaky and crunchy - just the absolute perfect level of each. It had such a satisfying dark brown color rather than the light brown you see on other fried chicken. You could tell this was truly fried in as much oil as possible - which you could also tell by how the breading was even slightly damp with oil and the bottom of the carton was still somewhat wet from the oil each bite of the breading was just absolute perfection the inside of the chicken was also astoundingly good - which i wasn't expecting. the first time I took a bite of the chicken meat itself - i was shocked by how well it tasted. This wasn't your boring old bland chicken you'd find somewhere else - it had fat to it - and even if the breading didn't exist I would still really enjoy eating the chicken the only thing i wish for is the breading had some spice to it - there pretty much wasn't any of that my next absolute favorite part was the buttermilk biscuits that i got as a side. These were baked so perfectly - with a tough exterior but a soft interior. The butter dipping sauce added to this was the best part of the entire meal - it was so addicting it was impossible to resist what drags this down slightly, though, is the greek fries. I didn't think these were good at all - while they were seasoned well with pepper throughout - the cheese was a) not well distributed and b) pretty infrequent. Also, the fries themselves were pretty hard to the touch but not crispy and didn't have any softness inside. The white sauce didn't taste very good either I will say the buffalo sauce that I added as a side was quite good What puts this meal over the top is the massive portion size. It did cost a good amount (24 dollars) - but 3 of that was the greek fries which I'll skip next time in favor of a side that doesn't cost extra. The pieces of fried chicken were MASSIVE - there was so much food contained in that basket. I wasn't even able to finish this entire meal. Given that you get this much fried chicken + two sides for a decent price, the value here is pretty damn good

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and I am so glad I finally did! We ordered a few things to share and every single dish was delicious! Shrimp toast: this was a great appetizer to share! Very crispy and the sauces on the side gave it a more complex flavor! It came with a sweet mayo and chili sauce. The chili sauce is definitely spicy if you can't handle spice so beware on how much you're using if that's the case. I also really enjoyed the slaw that came with it, it was very refreshing and it had a bit of sweet mayo flavor to it, I think it's the same as the dipping sauce but I could be wrong! Fried oysters: these were delicious! I think fried oysters can be a hit or miss for me, sometimes the interior can feel too dry and feel kinda of mushy-like, like I'm eating bread rather than seafood. But this had great texture on the inside while being crispy on the outside! The sauce on the side tasted like a pepper aioli which gave the oyster a nice tang *the fried dishes were great but after having a few, it definitely felt heavy, so this would be something I share with someone else vs eating it on my own Smoked salmon belly dip: I really enjoyed this! It was creamy and had chunks of salmon in it. It wasn't too dense or thick so it was perfect for scooping onto the kettle chips. The kettle chips were lightly salted so it was the perfect combo with the dip. Clam chowder: wow I absolutely loved this! This is different than any other chowder I've had. While I love a white creamy chowder from your typical seafood places, the base being a fish stock definitely brought out the seafood flavor vs a white chowder feeling like a cream base. This chowder still felt creamy and rich without the seafood flavor being overpowered. Rockfish bowl: the crab rolls were sold out by the time we made it to the register so we opted for this instead and I am so glad that we did. I didn't really expect this to blow me away but this was such a refreshing dish that balanced out the fried dishes we got. It used viet flavors that you may typically find in a banh mi which made it refreshing and had great texture from all the different fresh ingredients and fried garlic. I also loved how the fish came in patty form mixed with pork, it was flavorful and moist. I love any type of fish tofu/patty, I think it really makes fish flavorful when it sometimes can have a really mild flavor. I'll definitely be back to try the crab rolls!
