    Fish and chips

Fish and chips is best I've had on the west coast! Fillets were huge and the fries were nearly perfectly salted. Waitress was super nice and gave me a beer recommendation to go with it and it was perfect! Music is a bit loud inside but who cares, and the place is a bit run down but I dig the vibe here!

Pacific Inn Pub was on my local must try list after someone recommended it to me awhile back for the fish n chips. Once inside, I learned that this place was bought by the former Jake O'Shaunnesey's singing bartender. Kind of obscure trivia. My son and I found the last table as we went at dinnertime and it is a popular local watering hole so a bit busy. Their reputation is for very good fish n chips so we each ordered the 3 piece which included a good amount of fries and some coleslaw along with very good homemade (?) tartar sauce and a couple of drinks. The fish n chips order was good, but not great for $20 per order. Maybe the hype made my expectations too high? I thought the meal overall was filling and decent but not worth all the noise about how great they are. Our service was excellent with friendly staff who walked around a lot to clear off any dishes and glassware and get additional drink orders. I would return here but not specifically for the fish n chips.

Pacific Inn is a quintessential Seattle experience. It has your classic dim-dive-bar lighting and random assortment of Seattle themed art. Like any good dive, you expect the bartenders to be mean to you, it's actually what you want, it means that you're in the right place. I'm actually surprised when they're genuinely nice here. You could sit at the bar and drink your sorrows away here during the winter, you would probably lose track of time while doing it. But the reason you're really here is for the fish and chips. It's some of the best that I've had in Seattle. And I'm still not sure why. If you peer into the kitchen, it's just one dude opening bags and pouring them into a fryer. But sometimes that's just what you NEED. Everything is perfectly crispy, the breading has great flavor, and they have all of the necessary accoutrements. Nothing fancy, but everything that is essential. This is a must-visit for anyone who is new to town, or to bring a friend that is visiting. You will get a good feel for the Seattle cultural experience while visiting Pacific Inn.

We were looking for raving fish and chips close to our hotel by bus vs the train and since we were visiting the Troll and Gas Works park, Pacific Inn was the perfect middle! It's a dive bar with a food menu. Staff is friendly despite how busy she was and the food came out fresh and hot. We shared the 3 fish dish which was satisfying. The batter on the fish was light and crispy while the fish maintained it's flakiness. The fries weren't soggy either! Their coleslaw was a nice side, not too much mayo. Although we didn't try any other fish and chips, Pacific Inn scratched our itch and it was worth the stop!

The location is in a really cool part of town with a lively atmosphere. I came all the way from Kirkland to try the Fish and Chips. All the searches that I have made via YouTube videos and online as well as my coworker mentioned The Pacific Inn. I can tell you that the service was very friendly and pleasant and my order was delivered expeditiously. I really enjoyed the fish, cod I believe, it had a nice crispy exterior and the interior was very moist. I was actually pleasantly surprised and impressed. The dish comes with a side of creamy coleslaw and the tartar is so on point. I loved that tangy and just a hint of sweetness. There is parking available but be mindful that on busy sunny days and early evenings it may fill up. Another plus is there is outdoor seating if it pleases you.

A favorite of my friends, he wanted to go out spur the moment for a few rounds and fish & chips, so I went along. If you're looking for a dive, Pacific in will fit that bill. At Pacific Inn it's a fair size with a handful of booths, decent counter seating and an outdoor area that before accessing, check in at the counter for drinks and having your ID at the ready for the younger looking folks. Started off with a couple Gin & Tonics before ordering up some...you guessed it Fish & Chips...or at least my friend did. I decided I'd go with Cajun shrimp & um chips. Doesn't quite have the same ring, but they were crispy, seasoned and good, would recommend as an alternative to the Fish & Chips. Best thing about them is that it's pretty plentiful, I was decently full off it. It - like the Fish & Chips comes with cocktail & Tartar sauce, with other condiments available. I tried some of my friends it was alright. Very Crispy, and decent sized pieces, and price. None of this anything to write home about but it's a decent enough dive spot which I much prefer over the more populated and loud bars. Pacific Inn is decent enough, but the particular bartender I had a very short way about his attitude, and I wasn't feeling it. It was a Thursday night, no sports on whatsoever so it's not like it was busy. After our meal we moved on to get a little brew hop going which was good. I'd give another shot here, but my expectations for service are a bit low now.

Dark cozy dive bar on the inside, with an awesome outdoor patio when it's nice weather. The best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish itself is great, but the batter and fryjob is magic. Always take guests visiting here. Service is good!

Came for the famous "Best Fish & Chips in Seattle." The tartar sauce and cole slaw were excellent! The fish was very good, but I've definitely had better in the Seattle area. Part of that might be based on my personal preference (I prefer batter compared to breadcrumbs; and much prefer a thicker filet that allows a more flaky fish versus their thinner cut). Personal preference aside, it was well seasoned and cooked perfect. The big disappointment was the fries. They were greasy, soggy, and not seasoned at all. If I had not ordered an extra tartar, I wouldn't have had more than one fry they were that bad. Service was friendly and fast and the bar has a nice, cozy hole-in-the-wall locals spot vibe.

I drove here for 20 minutes on a scooter at 11pm because I was craving some fish and this was the only place that was open past 10pm . I was soo happy when I got there all because I craved the fish and I was not disappointed. Granite I taste like the fish made from fish stick or like a school lunch, BUT it was good. Fried pretty well. The fries were good and the margarita was STRONG. Especially for it to be 10. Service is fast, and the place is really small. If you like late night "hole in the wall" places this is the best place to go. 10/10 Next time I come to Seattle I gotta come back

This is what you're looking for! Tasty fish n chips? Check! Fun, divey vibe? Yup! Delicious fish and chips? You bet. Friendly service? Of course! And don't forget - the best fish and chips in Seattle? Yes indeed! Go now and enjoy!

The food here was pretty good, I was a huge fan of the tartar sauce. I think the place makes good use of the space allowing the small interior to not feel claustrophobic. The staff is very friendly and the drinks are good.

Hallelujah its all smiles after finding this Old Man dive bar serving exceptional fish n chips in the bowels of Fremont! So I stumbled into the throw back joint to grab a pint and discovered the tastiest fish n chips in all of Seattle. First off this place is all "OLD SCHOOL"so enjoy it, not many like it anymore. The menu has several pages of items , but it's all about the flakey cod fish served with fries. Beer battered strips exploding with flavor and yes a splash of fresher squeezed lemon and homemade tarter sauce add to the experience. Fries were perfectly deep fried and plenty m, plus as a bonus mound of coleslaw added just to give you some veggies. Lots of local brews including Georgetown Brewing options at the bar to wash it all down with to maximize your meal experience. Now my server was also the bar tender who was a salty pirate ( well maybe ) but who doesn't love pirates! The decor is defiantly dated but that's the charm. I'd recommend coming drinking & dining here, you won't regret it.

Ask the Community - Pacific Inn Pub

So is it always pub/21 and up? Often, places allow kids til 9pm or what not, and they have a patio so I had to wonder! My gf is in town and we are craving f&c but she has her little ones.

The pub is kind of small inside with bar as main focus tho it has outdoor seating. You could also call and ask. As alternative, Ivar's isn't too far away and also has great f&c.

Does Pacific Inn have a happy hour on Saturdays? Hours?

No HH ever, as the prices are already quite reasonable, the space is small and the place is usually packed around 5pm - 7p weekdays. It should be busier on the weekends, methinks.

My partner just thought his breakfast burrito was ok and could have used more seasoning or perhaps less potatoes, but overall he did like it. My mimosa was just kinda ok and honestly I probably would have liked the OJ on its own better. The service was mixed. Our server was great - the kitchen put bacon in my first side of potatoes and she apologized and fixed it right away. The front hostess however ignored us and 4 other people who were waiting for tables for almost 10 minutes when we walked in and answered the phone and walked off several times, only for us to find out we could just go seat ourselves immediately at the bar. All the other staff seemed great, though perhaps overwhelmed and harried (understaffing?). The ambiance at the bar was chill - we got to watch the game on the tv and there wasn't too much activity aside from servers grabbing drinks nearby from the very friendly bartender. Overall, I'm sad this spot is closing soon because I would definitely go back.

I, my wife, and her friend stopped by for New Year's Drinks around 6, and about 6:30 or so, made the mistake of asking Tim Duvall, the clearly drunken before 7:00 PM owner of the establishment, whether outside food can be brought into the bar. This led to his regaling us with an extended and utterly unsolicited history of the bar. He then invited himself to sit with us, halfway into the seat before slurring a "Can I sit down?" to insert himself into our booth. We then moved to another unsolicited conversation, this time about politics. Now, to be clear - I have no doubt that I and a sober Tim Duvall probably agree on most of our politics. This did not stop him from berating me as I agreed with his point, loudly escalating and yelling as I tried to agree with him (again... to be clear, I DIDN'T disagree his political view) until he stood and began yelling that I was kicked out. As I stood to talk on him, he became VERY comfortable with putting his hands on me, grabbing my sweatshirt to move me. I was NOT about to challenge that as a Black man new to Seattle that doesn't know how the police would handle things. I need to be very specific about how quickly this man felt comfortable touching me, grabbing my sweater to "drag" me. This is the step that is WAY over the line. I would genuinely like to recommend this place, as I'm looking for bars that offer sugar cane soda. Drunken ownership- in the early evening in New Year's - that feels comfortable being handsy with Black folk is far too much. AVOID at all costs.
