Been coming here for years & it's consistently great. LOVE the ling cod fish and chips, as well as the clam chowder. Best, thick & rich chowder in town! It's not cheap though. Expect fish & chips (with tax & tip) to run you about $20 in 2026, maybe a tad more. -The fish is SO GOOD, sometimes I just get 2 pieces with no sides -apart from tartar sauce, which is about $10. Umm, the breading has such crunch!! And the fish is moist... simply delicious!!! There's tables inside and out. Usually a breeze off the water in summer makes it comfortable. Plenty of parking, big lot. The staff is always welcoming & friendly. - Also, if it's "to go", they pack it very carefully. I do really WISH they stayed open later! Nine months of the year they close at 6:00, in summer it's 7:00. (8:00 would be way better; there's been many times I've wanted to go but it was too late.) But still... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

tried the salmon, halibut, and cod fish and chips and liked the cod the most (a classic)! fish tasted fresh, was flaky, and hot. also had the red clam chowder and fish taco - my parents liked those and taco size was between a street taco and burrito. read more

Everytime we fly to Seattle to visit our son, I stop at Chinooks to get our carry out lunch. I prefer the White Boston Chowder, my wife likes the New Jersey which is a mixture of Boston and Manhattan. Fish and Chip options are also great. read more

Walk up counter with limited interior seating and plastic table and chairs nearby, mostly under covering. Food was.brought out to us. (1 forgotten item brought out before needed to go back.) See pictures for food items. Able to buy a meal or a la carte items which I recommend for any extra pieces, if not want fries. or to try ones not in our basket. Long cod and as the best; prawns had little batter but were firm/fresh, all others good too. Fries were good but not worth finishing. Chowder was thick, plenty of seafood, great base. read more

On Sunday- My family and I pilgrimaged by boat from Kenmore WA to get Fish n chips Little Chinooks . Sadly, I did not check our orders (fully bagged and wrapped plate) until we were heading back via boat, our Combo plates was missing a 3rd, key ingredient, the PRAWNS. Only 1 strip of fish and lots of breaded clams....No Prawns. Attempted direct email contact to website, no response. read more

Little Chinooks - Main entrance is under the covered patio. - Fish & Chips Near Me - Seattle, Washington

We've eaten at Little Chinook's many, many times. When the weather is nice, sitting outside by the marina is always pleasant. Nothing fancy but good enough to take out of town visitors. They have two kinds of cod. I always forget the name of the cod I like but I know it's the more expensive one. Delicious! I particularly like that you can order extra pieces of fish and also add pieces of shrimp without having to order a whole meal. We don't want all those fries, as tasty as they are. You order at the counter and wait for them to call your name. There's usually a line. Prices are not cheap, but won't break the bank. My highest rating is not the number of stars I give. It's whether I will return for another meal. Can't eat fried food often but definitely will be back. read more

I heard about this place from my mom! She had came here recently with my dad and really wanted me to try it. We came down today, at the same time the Ballard Seafood Festival was happening. We didn't know where it was taking place per se and hoped it wouldn't detour our plans from coming here! It didn't :) and I must say, what a great addition to the Chinook restaurant. I haven't eaten at the restaurant myself but by far, loved this fast seafood joint! Service is amazing, they make you feel comfortable and I can tell that the team works really well together. If you have questions, they answer it without any problem. They ask if it's here or to-go and will call out your name for the order. My dad and I had the seafood combos with chips and my mom had the breaded oysters with chips. I had a taste of one of the oysters and they're fresh! Clam strips were good and I was very impressed by the prawns and true cod! The cod was breaded very well and crisp. The prawns were a good size and not too breaded. They do serve a lot of fries/chips with their meals and hoped there will be more seafood (my preference anyway). The staff does such a good job at making sure you have everything. Once you get your food, they have the drinks all lined up, along with coleslaw and condiments like tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. If you need extra things, straws, malt vinegar and ketchup are also lined up to take it if you need. I believe you need to ask for utensils if you need it. Not a lot of people today, and they have nice views of the marina, well...when it's a nice sunny day! Next to it is their seafood market: they sell fresh penn cove mussels, clams, salmon, and also have the Tom Douglas rub with love seafood, chicken etc rubs. Love this joint! Will be back sometime! read more

We heard about Little Chinooks from locals in Magnolia so decided to give it a try on a Monday lunch. We ordered the Alaska True Cod and Chips. The dish comes with three large and GIRTHY pieces of cod, generously coated in a panko-breaded batter and fried to the definition of crispy golden brown. It also comes with fries, a side of poppyseed coleslaw, and tartar sauce. The cod itself was flaky and sweet without even a hint of fishiness, and I am very keen on picking up fishiness! I definitely thought it was fresh and high-quality fish. The panko-beaded batter was so crispy and crunchy that it would satiate any food ASMR lover's ears. The crispy batter exterior perfectly complemented the juicy fish interior. When dipped into the tartar sauce, I started grinning ear to ear just from how delicious it all was. The fries were well worth the extra starch and carb intake too, they were fried golden crispy while maintaining a soft interior and well seasoned with salt. The poppyseed slaw was interesting - I thought it was a little too sweet for my liking, but it provides the necessary sweetness and slight acidity to reset your palette from the fried fish and fries. Another aspect I liked was how hot everything came out, signifying it was made to order. Both the fish and fries were hot enough to burn my tongue upon the first heavenly bite, which is great but just be careful! The food also came out fast, and there's also a big parking lot out front for the shops in the area so parking was easy to find. Overall, a convenient and amazing place for lunch! read more

Little Chinooks - Alaska True Cod and Chips - Fish & Chips Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Light and crispy fish! Lots of condiments like malt vinegar and homemade tarter. The slaw was also light and had a poppy seed dressing. All perfectly complement each other. My favorite fries are also included!! Chowder is always good! Rockfish taco comes with seasonal salsa (peach at end of summer) and a yummy aioli. The chips were hot and delicious as well as the salsa for the chips- which can also be thrown onto the taco. It was a good size and filling. Outdoor seating or indoor that's fast casual style. Seasonal lemonade and overall great menu of options read more

Lots of parking and fast service. Food okay. Fish and chips cold. Covered outdoor seating or indoor with walls opened to let the wind from water/Marina in. No warm place to sit. Maybe that helped the food get cold fast. Wil try another place next time. read more

Little Chinooks - 1:00 Wednesday - Fish & Chips Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Brought 3 grandkids for dinner. They loved the fish and chips! The ice cream was a hit! And the casual vibe made it fun and easy with kids.

I had this place bookmarked for a while when I was craving fish tacos or something. I got the fish taco and the Boston style clam chowder, and my friend got fish and chips (cod). They were all pretty good but they are a little expensive. Fish and chips looked small for the price, but they were crispy and tasty so it is worth a visit. The space was kept clean and it was a nice place to hang out. read more

Little Chinooks - Salmon tacos. Pretty damn good. - Fish & Chips Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Counter service restaurant in Fishermen's Terminal. This is a great place to bring friends and family who want to get a taste of seafood in the PNW without breaking the bank. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Big parking lot out front. The menu has lots of seafood and chips options (platters are mostly $15-20), clam chowder, and fish tacos. The salmon fish and chips are the best ($16.50) and come with 3 pieces of salmon and fries. They cooked everything on order and it came out so fresh and hot. The salmon was cooked to perfection and delicious. Their fries are also good and not to be missed. The Boston clam chowder (16oz, $10) is tasty and very creamy. read more

This place is so good. Their fish and chips are crispy and flaky and flavorful and super fresh. The red chowder is so warming and hearty, the white creamy and brimming with clams. The Ceasar salad is my favorite .... and the slaw is light and tart. Definitely a great stop for out-of-towners since the Marina is right there and the boats are always fun to see. A Seattle Classic. read more

Little Chinook's has been around well before I was a Yelper...cool spot to get decent food at Fishermen's Terminal off of Interbay in Magnolia. This was for a revisit on 3/8/21 just for fish and chips for lunch. I joined the masked, socially distanced line as part of the lunch rush. Easy peasy, placed my takeout order, brief wait, and then order in hand and back to my car. Items nicely packed along with tartar sauce, ketchup, coleslaw, utensils, and a napkin provided. Panko crusted trio of true cod filets with seasoned fries. Delicious, but my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Thankfully, The Homie (teenaged Hoover) polished off the rest brought home. Great food to have at Fishermen's Terminal, Magnolia Park, or pandemic dining in one's car or brought home. Quality provided but a bit pricey and comparable to similar orders from Ray's or Duke's. My occasional fish and chips craving usually leans towards Ivar's, for familiarity and budget. Just a nice option, whether Chinook's or Little Chinook's, located just off the Ballard Bridge in Interbay/Magnolia. read more

Service was fine, cod fish and chips was tough and dry. Not inedible, but not any better than what you get at a pub.

The food was so good! The salmon taco was so fresh and well cooked. The seasonal lemonade was sweet and tart and very summery. The chowder was very creamy and rich. The coleslaw was sweet and very fresh, not my favorite, but still good. The service was also pretty great! The server that took our order at the counter was new, so it was a bit slower ordering, but after that the food did come out very fast. Overall I would recommend this place to people in need of good cooked fish. read more

Chinooks (nice sit down) then Anthony's(fresh seafood. 4 sale), and then little chinooks (small sit down / take out). Maybe the best fish and chips. Little Chinooks - Seafood combo - Fish & Chips Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Little Chinooks fish joint has some of the best deep-fried oysters anywhere in Puget Sound, and their clam strips take second place in the most flavorful deep-fried seafood category. Get an order of clam strips 'n' chips and then add 3 or 4 oysters. That's a great way to maximize your seafood dollar and enjoy the most flavor. I've been coming here for years, and the quality is always the same. I've had everything on the menu as you'll see in the pictures, but clams and oysters are best. Prawns take the 3rd place ribbon. Halibut is also a good fish choice, or you might try the ling cod. Forget the salmon. It isn't exactly disappointing, but it's at the bottom of my list, for sure. The clam chowder? Yes ma'am, it's a winner. Fish tacos? Meh, they're okay. How about some clams and oysters instead? Raison d'être? Seafood and French Fries. I do love those super-crispy seasoned fries! They always come out crunchy 'n' piping hot. The poppy seed coleslaw makes for a great side dish that goes down easy. There are plenty of places to sit outdoors if it's not too chilly, or you can grab a spot on-site (fingers crossed that the glass garage doors are shut to block the wind). One visit here and I guarantee you'll be hooked. There is a ton o' free parking right out front. If you decide to order carry-out, I bet you'll eat most of the fries in the car before you get home. read more

Touched down in Seattle and right away I was craving some local seafood. This place offers several varieties of fish and chips, seafood tacos and other local seafood. Wow. I'm a fish and chips fiend but can usually always find something wrong between the fish, batter, fries, slaw, or tartar sauce. But all the components of a perfect fish and chips meal were nailed by Little Chinook's! We were waiting in line to pick up fresh tuna from St. Jude's boat at the terminal and got fish and chips for the wait. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. crispy batter, flaky fish, moist but not greasy, crispy fries with soft insides that didn't get soggy over the period of time it took me to inhale my meal, very generous with the tartar sauce (I usually run out), and a lovely coleslaw!!!! I'm blown away!! I can't imagine how you could be closer to fresh fish. Even the pike place area is so popular I wonder if they get their fish from the piers. Now I'm in bed five hours later and still full and content and reminiscing an amazing meal. Definitely worth a stop. I'll certainly be back! read more

YUM! What a great options to get some fish and chips to-go without actually sitting inside their larger restaurant. Standing in line was about 10 minutes or so, 3-4 groups ahead, and about 10 more minutes to get our food. For the base price with cod--you get 3 pieces of fish, fries, and coleslaw; it is such a good deal for the amount you get. We also sampled the clam chowder--thick creamy, and a good ratio of clams to potatoes to etc. This place is close enough that we could grab takeout from here in the future. Employees were following COVID guidelines and very kind. read more

This little gem is hidden just on the other side of the Chinooks fish shop and main restaurant. If your looking for a quick service, or for a fast to go, this is the place to go to. A quintessential NW luxury is fish and chips and getting it here, literally off the boat is both a treat and a good meal all at the same time. Costs of food have increased dramatically everywhere and this is no exception here as well. Be prepared for a quick dinner for two depending on which fish choice you choose to spend a quick $50.00. However, keep in mind that you are getting extremely fresh fish that is breaded in panko and then deep fried for a quick crust that makes it the perfect compliment to the flakey delicious fish. Add some well seasoned and cooked fries, for me good not over dressed cabbage, and one of the very best chowders out there. I know, there will be a ton of comments and debate about chowder, one of these things that happens, but I do feel that this is one of the better options out there. With the delicious chunks of clams all throughout this chowder, it really is a great choice. Keep in mind that there are three differing sizes of chowder, so you can go for a quick bite, or feed a family of four off the quart of chowder. There are plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by, a great place to sight see the terminal and get your fish and chips on. There a couple of salad options, and a few other options, but this is really a fish and chowder house. The staff was quick efficient and friendly. A great experience. read more

Little Chinooks is , by far, the best fish and chips I've ever had in Seattle. The cod fish, in a panko breading, is crispy and void of grease. The fries are tasty and done to perfection. The white clam chowder is fantastic also. All in all, the best fish and chips in Seattle. read more
