This is a solid place. I have been here a few times and tried out different things. The boils are the best thing they have IMO. The cost is fair and flavors are good. My biggest issue, is how well the seafood is cleaned. During my last visit, I noticed that non of the shrimp was cleaned. That grossed me out. If I went again, would avoid getting that. I recently had the catfish poboy. It was just okay. It looked better than it tasted. I can't put my finger on why it wasn't that great, but it was just very "meh". The fries were really good though. Services is okay. They always seem to struggle with service, regardless of how busy the place is. But they are nice. Ambience is what you'd expect at a place like this. The pricing is fair if you're getting one of the two packages, which is why I gave 2 stars. The seasoning is horrible, if you get any level of spicy it seems like while boiling the seafood they just dump a whole container of seasoning in the bags so it's just watery seasoning all over the food. My husband and I stopped by last night with our kids and met the sweetest owner. We should've gotten his name but completely forgot and utterly shocked how sweet and kind he was to us. We came in pretty late too and he still let all of us sit and eat. The foods were 10/10. Portions were also 10/10. Service? It was beyond what we expected. He even gave us homemade juices and it was amazing! The kumquats ones. We even brought some back to the hotel. The claw machine and the cotton candy machine was a nice touch! I haven't found an amazing seafood boil place yet so I do think Crawfish House may be one of the best around Seattle, but it wasn't that spectacular. I'm not sure why, but seafood boil around here hasn't quite wow'd me despite our vicinity to the waters and having amazing fish and clam chowder. Service is solid though, I'll give them that. We were recommended the tango sauce by a friend but our waiter insisted the house sauce was way better and the tango was "sour" and persuaded us to opt for the house sauce. Honestly, the sauce didn't impress and was a large pool of oil at the bottom of our boil. Dipping was alright, but it wasn't spread well to showoff the spices to our taste buds, overall the sauce was underwhelming and greasy. For spice levels, we asked for 3* but it was really mild, something near a 1.5* and also underwhelming. Began with some appetizers too, we ordered at happy hour where the prices should be cheaper, but weren't discounted. Honestly, it was whatever and the appetizers were standard. Opted for the cajun fries and onion rings, both weren't surprising and nothing bad to report. 4 pounds of seafood total: both crawfish options, snow crab, and shrimp. Louisiana Red Crawfish - sweeter crawfish like they mention, but small in size. Not overly sweet or anything, not that you'd expect that, but tasty. Pacific (Signal) Crawfish - seasonal crawfish that's larger, looks more intimidating, and meatier. I liked this one more, it felt more efficient as I got more meat for similar effort and it tasted fine, wasn't bad or anything just less sweet. Snow Crab - my personal favorite, but I love crab so there's some bias. Very easy to get the meat out and they're great sizes as well, being crab legs. Shrimp - these were probably the worst tasting option here. They tasted "like the sea" and had sand in them. The only pro was that they're easy to peel and eat, but shrimp is better anywhere else. Also got French bread, dipping in the sauce was alright but once again, the sauce wasn't anything special. It was mostly like tasting bread with olive oil on top, maybe our sauce was skimping on the special spices. Tagged on some potatoes and sausages with the order - potatoes are nice and tender. I tried this place in 2019. We ordered takeout on the 4th of July and said we'd go back to try it again but this time dine in. The food is decent. I stick to the catfish because I'm leery about crawfish. I tried it with etoufee this time, which was too thick and bland. The tan fries were my favorite on the menu and I enjoyed the fried gizzards. My partner and her friend tried the crawfish. They said it was pretty tasty. It can get pretty loud and busy since they don't open until two. They rush around you to take orders and drop off food but they in no way rush you to eat. There is a lot of space between tables and you might have to walk up so the counter for your check because you once you get your food they don't really come back to the table. The parking in that area is terrible. You either won't find a spot or have to back into a space on the middle of the street. It might create some anxiety for some people. The locals are used to it. All-in-all. It was okay. Not terrible just okay. The boils are the best thing to try. read more

So it was pretty dead Ambiance: 3.5/5 lots of seating, music was kinda loud and played a bunch of cover songs of the top hit 100's which I thought was kinda weird. Didn't taste too fresh but boy they were HUGE "golf" shrimp is what they were serving. The snow crab was enough to fill me up! They came with a pair of scissors which was odd cause I'm used to nut crackers to crack the snow crab legs, but it still helped. The amount I got including the cat fish basket was totally enough. Solid crab boil spot located in white center. I have gone to white center exactly 2x before in my life and I am glad the location didn't deter me from going! Is it the best sauce of my life? No. There is a place in dallas that gets the balance of tangy, garlic, butter, and lemon just right. However, I was very satisfied with the price, the service, and the yuca fries appetizer was huge and tasty. Definitely my new fav crab boil place in the seattle area. After I went a friend told me I should have tried the tango sauce. I can't wait to come back and try it! I took off one star because my snow crab was a bit overcooked, to the point that one of the small pincers had meat so hard it resembled jerky. It wasn't as bad on the other larger pieces of meat but I have never seen that before lol. We were next door at Puffy Pandy so wandered over for some "real" food. We opted for the seafood boil with snow crab legs and shrimp without heads and waited for the drop. I will say, I am bougie enough that I will pay whatever extra to have my shrimp peeled and deveined, the fact that wasn't an option was a bit annoying. In addition to the seafood boil we had a friend who does NOT do seafood, so she got the chicken sandwich. The chicken was so dry she ate two bites and quit. Luckily they took the feedback and removed it from the bill. The legs coming with part of the body attached (sometimes LARGE portions of the body) was a bit upsetting as we only eat legs, and ordered snow crab LEGS, but overall it was delicious. Would come back again, but maybe tweak our ordering a bit. PS The fresh strawberry lemonade was a bit on the sweet side, but still good if you squeezed a bit of lime in it - get a carafe! read more

It's been such a hit and miss. The quality of the seafood isn't there anymore, much worst after COVID. I went yesterday, 03/08/2023, ordered one pound of gold shrimp, snow crab, 2 potatoes, and 6 sausage. $32.99 for ONE cluster of snow crab; I only got ONE CLAW AND ONE DAMAGED LEG. Half the golf shrimp was pure MUSH. The texture was awful. I didn't say anything because the server was no where to be found. It took some time to even get some water; was only able to get one refill, I needed more!!! The tango sauce was MORE butter than sauce!!!!! There wasn't much flavor. I've had it GOOD 3 times out of several times I've been. Will not be going back. There's other better places! read more

I've been coming here every since I discovered this place which was last year. I can't believe I've been missing out this whole time. The crawfish here is the best. You really get what you pay for. Other places Ive been to charge a lot more and it's not even good or the portions are small. Michael has been our server almost every time we come here and he made us feel so welcomed. He is the best! I usually order appetizers and I tried all of them. My favorites would be Cajun fries, Yam fries, Onion Rings and Fried Pickles. For the boil, my boyfriend and I always order King Crab Legs, Crawfish, Clams, Shrimp & Potatoes with the house sauce which is garlic, butter, & special spices. It's sooo good like indescribable. Like the sauce just soaks in and gives the seafood some love. So freakin delicious! If you plan on getting drinks get the strawberry lemonade. Add tequila if you want to get funky :). WHO KEPT THIS PLACE FROM ME?! Casual space with fun music. We started with the jambalaya roll (like an egg roll) with this beautiful tomato topping. The house blend sauce was unreal slathered all over our king crab and craw fish (level 3 was not very spicy!). The mojitos were sweet and flavorful and the woman who served us was even sweeter. I am giving it a 4 because 3.5/5 for service and 5/5 for food. I will start off by saying I think they are understaffed - so it's not because the staff is lazy because everyone was literally running around, but I had to wait 40 mins for table because the staff was so busy that a table would leave and it would take up to 20 mins for the staff to come around and clean it up for the next people to sit down. So there would be like 8 parties waiting, and a couple tables would be empty, but we wouldn't be seated for awhile. Also, once seated - I had to ask 5 different times to 4 different staff for 1-2 things I needed (i.e. butter or scissors to cut the crab), which was kind of frustrating. By that point it had slowed down, so it wasn't because they were super busy? Not sure, but the workers were nice so that was a plus! Now for the food, we got alot - Chowder - tbh idk what I was expecting, but that chowder was so good. Like it wasn't too creamy but it wasn't too soupy? I would definitely order again. Fried foods (gizzards, fries, tots, mushrooms, calamari) - we got the pick 2 and 3 entrees and it was a massive portion!!! Such a steal. I had a good experience coming back a second time since my 2 star review but just had another bad experience coming back a third time.... I found out that their Tango sauce is the bomb and their Thai iced tea is on point. When you can get fresh Dungeness in their boil, it's great! I'm adding a star for these awesome items. However tonight, they served me mushy crawfish where I couldn't pull the tails out of the shell without the meat breaking apart. This happened with every single one. I complained and the owner insisted it was because crawfish isn't in season, it's a new batch, so the meat is soft. That is such BS! No, it's because they sourced it already cooked (by WA law I believe) and they overcooked it heating it up a second time when serving it to me! I'm sad the owner didn't believe me or want to admit the crawfish was overcooked and made up some lie about it's not crawfish season so they are soft. So soft the crawfish falls apart in the winter?? I'm so disappointed in this restaurant for lack of appreciation for customer satisfaction. I still tipped because it was New Years and I went in an hour before closing but I won't be back for a while. Love this place. Love the employees. Best crawfish in Seattle! Nothing beats the tango sauce they have here. Although, it can be too oily sometimes, it hits the right spot. You can never get tired of the sauce or sick of it because nothing is too overpowering. Seafood always taste so fresh here and during crawfish season, it so big. I love it! Every time my friends I come here, we order a 3 combo appetizer ($10) Fried Calamari, tator tots, and fried mushrooms. They're all so crispy, crunchy, and something good to snack on while waiting for the seafood boils. There are a few more appetizer options to choose from if you didn't like any of the ones I listed. I've tried all of them and would say that it's all worth to try. As for my final recommendation, the 1 liter strawberry lemonade is so yummy! I usually don't eat much seafood but this place was recommended by someone who is originally from Louisiana and said this was a good place for crawfish and had some insane spice levels. I like spice but not too much that I can't enjoy my food but I was still interested in trying this place out. My party of 4 each ordered a pound of crawfish ($10.99/lb) and split a pound of shrimp ($14.99/lb), fried gizzards ($6.99), and cajun fries ($5.99). You can choose your spice level from 1-5 but if you want even hotter you can pay more for that but is it even fun at that point? I chose spice level 2 but I think I could've done 3 or 4 and still be fine. I chose the house sauce which I thought was a little bland and just okay. The crawfish itself was okay and I liked dipping it in the tango sauce more than the house sauce. For the shrimp we ordered it with the tango sauce (the waiter mentioned the shrimp is good with that sauce) and I liked the tango much more than the house sauce. Everyone at our table thought it had more flavor even though it was really oily. The cajun fries and gizzards were both pretty good and I liked the thousand island based dressing that it came with. Because we were one of the only two parties there so early the service was super good and multiple waiters stopped by multiple times.
