Since clam chowder was the main reason we came, that really took away from the experience. A few minutes after we ordered, a couple sitting next to us at the bar asked the same question we did: "Is there bacon in the award-winning clam chowder?" What made the situation particularly frustrating was that the parking lot was virtually empty, and there were very few customers inside. I was told the reservations would be filling the restaurant within approximately 10 minutes, which seemed highly questionable given the circumstances. Regardless of whether there were reservations or not, the way the situation was handled left me with the impression that customer service was not a priority.
