We're so lucky to have NoLita so far North of the city. I've never had a bad meal here. The service is relaxed and approachable not overly attentive. We came in last minute on a Friday night with a party of 10, and I appreciate that they were able to seat us. The food was good, but the service was slow and unorganized. Our server came and went 3-4 times before taking our full order, and he refused to do separate checks for our group, which was frustrating because we just asked them to make 3 checks by family not all 10. What really upset me was the $20 cake fee. I wasn't expecting to be charged at all especially since they didn't actually do anything for it. I brought my own birthday cake, and they just stored it in the fridge. When we asked for it later, they brought it out in the box without plates, utensils, or a knife. I ended up putting the candles in myself and cutting and serving the cake. For $20, I expected them to at least bring plates, cut the cake, or do something to help but they did nothing. Overall, while the food was good, the slow service and the unnecessary cake fee really brought my experience down. I don't think I will visit here again read more

A dining delight!! I've passed Nolita many times however this was our first time to try this cute restaurant. We were greeted my John and his staff and promptly seated. Started with delicious warm bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar (which I requested). Each of us had a beautiful glass of wine, split a Caesar salad and soon our pastas arrived. Our pastas were both delicious and tasty not leaving a drop in our bowls!! The service was great and very attentive. We certainly will return! read more

The bread and olive oil was the best way to start the meal, the bread was warm and so delicious! I appreciated that they had vegan options and even a vegan section of the menu. I've visited here both midweek and on the weekends, and it's always been great service and so cozy. We've been able to walk in and get a table no problem, but they do take reservations. Portions are big, quality is great, and I appreciate they are heavy on the protein which is rare with pasta dishes. Even got a complimentary limoncello night cap from our amazing waiter. Wow! There's something about superbly fresh ingredients, Italian attention to detail, and vibrant seasoning that is unmistakably good. Everything from the bread to the pork chop to the (Simon and Garfunkel) potatoes to the chicken piccata was beautifully prepared. A really great meal. read more

First time and was pleasantly surprised! I was eating lite but loved the spinach salad with goat cheese and walnuts and minestrone (all veggies and beans, no pasta-which i loved). Very good flavors and textures. Bread was chewy and delicious. Will try the heavier stuff next visit. We dropped in without a reservation at 8 on a Friday night and it was busy! But we got seated quickly as tables were just beginning to turn. We were in the first dining room, which was full, and it was pretty loud. There is nothing to absorb all the conversation noise...it might help if they hung some decorative rugs or tapestrys on the walls or dampers on the high ceiling. But the sound was also the good energy of people enjoying their experience and each other, so it did not bother us too much. Will probably time our next visit when it might not be so busy...because we do like that quiet intimate experience and it seems to have all the makings for that (delicious food and enjoyable service)! read more

I went in hungry and as a solo diner. I skipped the appetizer or bread, etc, and just ordered two entrees. The food was good, so I will go again. The ambiance is a little formal, but not too stuffy. Service was not horrible, but could have been better. One waiter kept forgetting about me and kept apologizing (both to me and to at least one other table next to mine). In fact the constant apologies became more annoying than what he was apologizing for. I gently asked him to stop apologizing for everything so much, as too much of that can make his guests uncomfortable. That seemed to bother him a little bit, but he needed to hear it. When I finally got my check (just for two entrees, no drinks), a different waiter read my order out loud, and then he curiously added the words "no wine...no cheese.." which was curious and made me chuckle. I had to respond, "No a lot of things. How much do I owe you?" I'll return, and might update my review if the service is less awkward. read more

For the main course, I went for Pollo Saltimbocca, which is chicken with prosciutto in a wine sauce, served with pasta and vegetables. I asked to double up the vegetables. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor; the wine sauce was delightful (I wanted to lick the plate--judge me, I don't care). The vegetables were also seasoned, providing the perfect bite complementing the entire plate, and it worked. So many perfect bites--my wife's meal was also wonderful. My cousin, who is a vegetarian, agreed--perfect bites all around. My kiddo even ate her food. What? Do I recommend it? I do. We came here for our friends 40th birthday dinner as a group of 12 and I was blown away by the quality of food and service! It was an intimate dinner environment and felt very eloquent despite the bigger size of our group. We ordered multiple bottles of red and white wine, which the staff helped to ensure were always available and ready for us. We started with Bruschetta, Mozzarella Caprese, Calamari, and Caesar Salads for the table to share, all of which were delicious. Everyone ordered their own plate of choice - a few people ordered the Lobster Ravioli which gave me dinner FOMO because it looked delicious, but its all good because I was very satisfied with the Tortellini Ai Formaggi E Proscuitto I had ordered. The most notable thing about this Italian restaurant was the portion sizes - I feel like with Italian, you either get copious amounts of pasta or barely any, and the size here was just right. Had dinner here last night- got quick reservations on the phone - when we arrived (this was close to 9pm) he asked if we had reservations. Yes we did from 5 mins ago. It was pretty empty and had a little bit of a snobby flaire (maybe because we aren't Italian) anyways - food wise it was delicious. The cake was dry and no one else felt their entrees or desserts were at all remarkable. The Caesar was terrible. Our severe kept taking smoke breaks and coming late back to the table reeking of smoke and ruining my appetite. Then he was unable to split the bill for us. Go elsewhere for good Italian food. Decided to check this place out after it being on my list for quite some time. I ordered some wine and veal saltimbocca - the food came out very fast and the waiter was attentive and recommended some of the top items. The saltimbocca was bit too salty and could have used a lighter hand with the salt. I was so thirsty the rest of the evening into the next day. I wish that I had a dining companion to try some of their other dishes and dessert because tables around me looked great! I really liked the overall inside aesthetic and it looks quite different than what you imagine from looking at the outside. The lobster ravioli was absolutely divine as always, and the scallop risotto special was truly amazing--rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Went during restaurant week and it was a great value. Ordered 2 pastas and 2 meat dishes. The bread was served warm. Sourdough with a soft center with a good crunchy crust. The tortellini was excellent along with the veal saltimbocca. I think the veal was the best dish. For dessert, ordered the chocolate cake, almond tort, sorbet and tiramisu. I'm usually not a fan of tiramisu but this one was outstanding. Not too sweet and not too heavy. The sorbet helped cleanse the palate. Super refreshing. And the service was excellent. Cute little Italian restaurant with not too large of a menu. The restaurant is much more low key than the popular Italian restaurants in Seattle. The food was delicious and the service was personable. One less star because our server opened the front door of the restaurant into me (there was a window he could see straight through) as we were waiting for our table and didn't apologize. I thought he was a customer and then soon received him as our server. This started off our dining experience on the wrong foot but was eventually redeemed. read more
