When I got my order, it felt very light, but I thought I'll just see when I get home. There was maybe 2 tablespoons of chicken salad with two grapes in it on a small croissant that was falling apart. This place is AMAZING!!! I order from them MULTIPLE times a week and it's just so good! If your a chicken salad person- this place just gets you! So many different flavors! I literally don't have a favorite, because all is absolutely delicious!! The grape salad was the BOMB! I LOVE the Jalapeño Holly, and the fancy Nancy... but then I also love the Buffalo Barclay and the fruity Fran! I'm telling you, if you love chicken salad this is THE ONLY place to order from! Well it was semi-edible. So I have never been to this place and someone told me about it so I gave it a shot. The menu simply has too many options and much like any restaurant with a lot of options nothing seems to be done well or worth while. I ordered the buffalo Barclay on wheat. I assumed that buffalo flavor would be noticeable and something different than a regular chicken salad. However there was nothing there. It was like eating chicken salad that had ZERO flavor. If you have ever been congested and ate something it was similar to that. And insult to injury the wheat bread was equally unimpressive. Just dry thick bland bread. The Mac and cheese was inedible. It was hard and chunky. As if it was under a hot lamp for a day or two. I mean even the cookie was ehhh. I tried half. Threw the rest out. On my wife's sandwich they forgot to put the bacon. Obviously this place needs a little better quality checking. I'm sure there must be something half decent on the menu but today I was 0 for 2. This location is NOT the cleanest ever either. It could have been the lunch rush but the seats and table were dirty. But that's just nit-picky On the bright side the prices are reasonable and sweet tea is okay. read more

Take your time and choose a 'Flavor'. You can get your "scoop" as they say with crackers or on Bread. The menu is based around these scoops and add ons. I would definitely give Chicken Salad Chick 5 stars for the chicken salad at the Matthews NC store. All of the flavors are great. But they lose a star for attention to detail. My wife and I use curbside there and sometimes when we get our sandwiches home, we find that she has the salad I ordered in her sandwich and I have her salad in my sandwich. We can tell the sandwiches apart because we order different bread. It happened again last night. So Chicken Salad Chick keep making the delicious salad flavors but pay more attention to filling customer orders correctly. read more

I Absolutely LOVE Chicken Salad Chick. I actually went twice in the last day so my mother and son could try it too! The staff is extremely friendly and the service was very fast for having a line that wrapped around the building. I also have to mention there was one employee who my mother and I adored! She went above and beyond to be helpful and her name was Celeste. She was very sweet and knowledgeable about the different items on the menu. I chose to try the chicken salad sandwich with Carols chicken salad as my flavor and the baked potato soup as my side. We also ordered the mac and cheese, grape salad and tortilla soup. I take my mom here once or twice a month. We have tried and enjoyed several flavors of chicken salad and soup. My only issue is that the crackers and the cookies all have bioengineered food ingredients. Wish they would be able to find some crackers and cookies that don't have harmful ingredients. I drive by here during lunch a lot and the place is always packed- I knew I had to check out this joint. My favorite part of this establishment is the interior. It has an old time southern atmosphere and its extremely cute. Cute and clean! For food I went with the Classic Carol and the broccoli salad. Both items were basic, and something I can make at home. To be honest, my mother's chicken salad is one hundred times better. It was one scoop of chicken salad, on a hard croissant with no tomato or lettuce- like they show in the picture. Broccoli salad was shredded cheese on top of the baby broccoli trees with some sauce. Again, nothing special. The staff was very friendly and they had a lot of patience too with the other customers. I eat here all the time I really decided to do a customer service check. Every time I come in here the people were so polite and they cater to the needs of the customer. Anytime there's a problem they fix it and go the extra mile. So this particular day I decided to come in and get two kids meals for my girls and pay with a bunch of quarters dimes and pennies they were all in rolls. Usually when I do this to a restaurant they look down on you or they make a big deal out of it but this girl named Kristin was very full light she took my money put it in a register didn't ask no questions did look down on me got my food ready as fast as she could and told me to have a nice day with a smile. I also asked her for some extra things a couple of times making her go back to get them and she didn't seem upset or irritated with me so I will get this please five stars that I will continue to keep going there. My girls love it and I love all their chicken salads I have tried all of them my favorite is the barbecue and The fruity Fran. Dixie Chick is pretty good too. The pimento cheese is to die for and the fruit is always fresh. I also like the fact that they have a cool rewards. And they have cool promos and double points on certain days. One time they ran a special way if you keep your receipt on a certain day and come back and get that whole receipt exactly as you bought it again for free and I thought that was really cool. Ok so this probably would have been a 4 star review because I have always had yummy food and decent service there but the territory manager is really on top of her game! I did one of those surveys that you get on your receipt and gave feedback that I had gone on a certain day of the week specifically for what the soup of the day was and when I got there (at noonish so not too early or late) they told me they didn't have any. I was bummed and said so. A few weeks later I received an email from the CSC territory manager of that store apologizing profusely, telling me they have addressed my issue with the staff there and asking for my mailing address. Well, yesterday I got a nice card from her with a HANDWRITTEN apology and 2 coupons for a free meal! Above and beyond my expectations for this kind of restaurant. Actually for most any kind!
