I went in Saturday and they were super busy! Jordan was my server and she was great! I ordered the strawberry salad with salmon which was so delicious and refreshing. Since I was so good with my entry choice when Jordan asked if we're interested in dessert I could not resist! The brownie is worth every calorie! This place is casual with steel tables and a very informal setting, but it delivers for me and my family because it has what the kids want, a decent burger, and salads for the adults who try to eat healthy. From the outside in, looks amazing. Second time but at another location almost before Hurricane Harvey on Cypresswood and Hwy-249. And I ordered crawfish during crawfish season only then, so it was spicy and seasoned. Today food was bland. Fried mushroom was not seasoned, seasoned rice wasn't seasoned at all, and patty melt patty was not flavorful at all. Seems foods on the menu needs sauces, and extra spices to taste good here. The only thing not needing sauces or extra seasoning was the blackened catfish and the fried jalapeños we ordered. Oreo milkshake was a good sweet but too thick, needed to stir enough to slurp with straw. Food here is medium priced, but I'm into my tastebuds if I'm gonna pay for medium priced food. Had to remove the patty melt off order cause burger patty had no taste. Who knows, maybe the cooks here or the food is served like that at all locations? Not sure if I will give here another try soon. Literally, fries were seasoned in some areas but not all, and mushrooms tasted battered not seasoned. Had better mushrooms at other places. The first time I visited this place, my meal was just eh. The service and scenery was nice so I didn't complain. My brother really likes this place so I visited yet again while with him. Came here for the first time last night. Ordered the crab legs, spicy. Great flavor. Unfortunately the snow crab was a little too small and little overcooked. Every time I would break open a leg, the meat would break and then get stuck. They don't have crab forks or scissors, so I wasn't able to get any of the meat out. So sad. I notified the server of the issue and she had her manager remove it off the bill. The manager came over and made sure I was taken care of and that everything else was okay. Sometime ago last year, we came to have dinner at Willie's. The outside temperature was cool so we chose the patio seating. We love the experience. Outside the waterfountain was on and it had cool colours for everyone to enjoy. The patio outside does have the view of the waterfountain and the walkabout. It is relaxing and enjoyable for any diners who sits outside. The food was great! Hubby had the platter and my goodness such a hefty plate. I had the crawfish tail and I loved it to bits. My daughter enjoyed hers as well and so did my son Fastforward- So far we've visited this place 4 times and our last was just a relaxed night without the kids. We enjoyed Sunday early dinner. We were craving catfish and salad! So we landed here late Saturday night. Literally 40 minutes prior to closing. Order at the counter and pay afterwards. Honor system. Our cashier was new and being trained (by the shift manager we assumed). But the cashier did not skip a beat while taking our order. He asked us numerous times if we had any questions pertaining to our order while we did not. We both ordered the small fried catfish basket. Good value at $10 each came with 4 catfish strips and coleslaw. I opted for the Cesar salad as my side which was super sized! Large enough to share to which I did so! Karen requested the street corn. Karen said the street corn was fantastic. I looked across and noticed a couple eating fried onion rings ($2.49). And yes I placed an order with our server Leisa. Leisa was Totally amazing, by the way. The onion rings were served with creamy homemade ranch dressing. So So good! I would return for both catfish and onion rings! Added a dash of chalula hot sauce to the ranch and ketchup kicked up style. The entire check was $27.00 great value. Amazing service too! Leisa made us 2 take out lemonades. Requested No ice since the outside temperatures were less than cozy! I must mention that Karen and I were leisurely eating and talking. But as I said earlier the place was about to close. I want to start and say our server was pretty good this is in regards to the food. Firstly we had to pour our own drinks which is weird enough, when the queso we ordered came we had to request an additional serving of ground beef because the way it came it was literally just enough to see. Secondly the chicken fried steak breading was practically non existent and the sweet potato fries were cold as can been. Not to mention the fried chicken sandwich comes with the world's thinnest piece of chicken. We won't be back. read more

(From September 2021) I noticed this chain of icehouses are scattered around parts of Harris/Montgomery county. This caught my eye as I drive past this place whenever heading to Spring. Decided to order to go from here for football Sunday and see what it's about. Sadly they don't have bone-in traditional wings available for order. Why!? I think this is the first ice house that didn't serve wings from what I can tell. Decided on the fried catfish and shrimp meal and an order of Buffalo nuggets (or boneless wings as the menu says). The meal came with two sides (max and cheese and side of veggies). The good: catfish and shrimp meal was a good portion; catfish was crispy. Also loved the veggies. The nuggets were tender. The bad: the shrimp was a bit chewy. Mac and cheese had almost no flavor and was dry. Probably would've been better off with another side. I may try their other items when I'm back in the area. And hopefully they'll have traditional wings for order as every icehouse should! read more

Ordered Willie's for delivery and was extremely disappointed. The "blackened" chicken was so dry and tough...almost hard... it was not consumable. The macaroni has absolutely no flavor at all and the queso had bits of something black burnt pieces in it...not sure exactly but kind of like when something gets burnt in a pan and sticks to the sides. An alright place for a burger and fries, this is a step above fast food with the added ability to get alcohol. The bacon burger was big and a good match for the teenager in our party. The grilled chicken was adequate and the accompanying grilled veggies benefited from a good spice mix but lacked a good char. The Gouda cheesesteak is mislabeled as no self respecting true Philly needs bell peppers and some sort of chipotle sauce. The Gouda cheese advertised was lacking. The pick two combo of fried pickles and onion petals along with the tater tots were crunchy goodness. read more

The server was very disrespectful. My ground beef 'steak' was very greasy. Willie's Icehouse is usually one of my favorite places to eat, but the prices are much higher. The serving size is smaller. Even if I did go there again, I hope that I never get that server again. read more

First visit here... The food was good! Catfish and loaded fries were great!! Sauces are great too! Cheese Burger was spot on!! And the service was BUT the upgraded onion rings were a waste... Very lightly battered, two rings thick and a little under cooked... Disappointed.. and the water was a mix of lemonade and water (dispensor issue). Hence the 4 stars... The dine in area is back in full effect. I'll start out by saying that the entire staff is really friendly. My server, Lynn B., was the breakout star. She serviced 2 socially distanced tables with ease. Lynn is very attentive and gives you service with a smile. Definitely request Lynn B. if possible. I had loaded fries as an appetizer, full rack of ribs with salad and sweet potato fries, peach cobbler with ice cream to round things out. Loaded fries were doable, but did lack in there meat department and were slightly salty. It's hard to mess up a salad, so no complaints. Sweet potato fries were done properly. Slight crunch, nnnnnnnnnnooo greasy spot and not soggy after 3 minutes. The ribs fell off the bone. The peach cobbler looked like bread pudding to me, but I enjoyed it. It is bread like in texture, which I enjoyed for being a unique quality, but doubt I'll ever order it again. I want wet peach in my mouth. Licking a dry peach gets old! Been going to various Willie's locations since they opened. The one on 1960 was our "go to" until they closed during COVID. We loved their food but unfortunately we have seen a decline in almost everything. Visited the Spring location yesterday for lunch and was quite disappointed in not only the shrimp and catfish dinner but they must have changed the onion ring recipe, which was always a favorite. The minute you picked one up the breading fell off even before a bite. Fish was super thin, my BF was questioning whether or not it was actually catfish. Shrimp were over cooked! The iced tea was so weak it resembled water with perhaps a hint of a teabag. The only saving Grace was the jalapeños! Was having trouble scanning my receipt for the Willies Reward points and BF said "why worry about that and why would we want to return?" read more

We ordered shrimp & sausage gumbo and onion rings to start. The gumbo had a foul taste, we simply could not eat it. It had poor flavor, tasted as if it was a watery broth with loads of sodium and left a terrible taste in our mouths. The onion rings tasted as if they were cooked with other fried foods and rubbery, we each ate half of one. It was so disappointing we canceled the entree. The server saw we did not eat anything and did not acknowledge it or ask anything. We were insulted at the entire situation and left and paid full price, even though the food ordered was barely touched due to poor quality. A good "quick service" restaurant- that is always a go to for a quick bite- love the burger, grilled shrimp, bbq baked potatoe, salads and all their fries! The nachos are ok (think more Americanized / less authentic). Always have good service and enjoy eating here. My husband would give Willie's 5 stars as it's one of his favorite places to go! They have a large patio, alcohol and are very kid friendly which is helpful for my small family.
