Original Sandwich Platter (10) and Original Hot Chicken Sandwich

We really enjoyed trying this place. The employees were very cool. The food got to use super quick and wow you get a bang for your buck. The meals are massive, we had leftovers for a whole other day. The original with no spice I will say lacks a bit of flavor but the texture is great. The fries are soooo delicious. I want to come back and try their new Mac and cheese.

The food is great, made to order fresh! The tortilla soup is wonderful. Great flavor. The loaded fries is enough for two people! Better come hungry!

Chicken tender "lift off" style. SUPER spicy

To all of my SPICY LOVERS out there... YES. I came here with an old friend to explore some of the menu items. My friend ordered the strawberry hibiscus frozen lemonade. I had the cucumber watermelon (not frozen) lemonade. I highly recommend the lemonade not frozen. You are gonna need the drink! Extra side of water would be even better. I ordered the spicy sandwich combo that came with a tender. I asked them to make the tender "lift off" style which was SCORPION PEPPER SPICY! Super good and loved the flavors. Everything from the taste of the spicy chicken sandwich to the amazing flavor of their fries. If you are not a sweet/ spicy fan.. im not sure this would particularly be " your jam" but it was ours. We LOVED it. Service was very friendly and helpful. The wall painting was so cool. Such a "hip" vibe. Highly recommended!!

Was in the area and saw that Houston TX Hot Chicken is around the corner. It was a no-brainer that I had to eat here again, especially after I was left impressed the first time I had their food at Katy. This time I had their secret menu, and tenders with slaw. The secret menu was 2 Belgian waffles with tender and slaw. I had the honey butter rub which was so good. The Belgian waffles were served hot and crispy. The tender was cooked perfectly, and it paired well when dipped into the mild spicy house sauce. I love the tenders and slaw too. Everything was served piping hot and fresh. Food was served to my table and the staff were so polite. Though this restaurant isn't as big as the one at Katy, there is still a good number of seatings for big and small groups.

Greatest chicken, better people. Best service in college station and definitely best chicken. Spicy as you want it. Can't wait to come back.

Another hot chicken restaurant in Houston. I had lunch here a couple of weeks ago for the first time. It's in a nice strip center with parking in front. Inside it's a counter service eatery nicely decorated. I ordered the original hot chicken sandwich w/fries for $13 and added a drink from the self serve drink fountain. They have several heat levels and I went with mild. The food took about 10 minutes before ready. The sandwich and chicken tender is a little smaller than some of the competition however it was still big enough and plenty of food. It was a good tasting sandwich. Also the crinkle cut fries were hot and had Cajun dust sprinkled on them and good tasting too. I would be glad to return and order this meal again.

I really wanted to like this place a lot but I think Hot Chicken is just not something that I enjoy as everyone else does. Having said that Houston Hot Chicken has a lot of sauce options and it's a great addition to the growing halal scene in the Houston/Cypress area. I have tried their Original hot chicken, nuggets, and fusion fries. On another trip I tried their classic chicken sandwich. Between the original hot chicken sandwich and the classic I think I prefer the classic one. The classic one does not have the sauce on the sandwich but it's also lacking the coleslaw. If I go back I will probably get the sauce on the side for the original and have the sauce on the side. I remember really liking their coleslaw but the sauce is just not for me. I dipped my fries in the sauce on my most recent visit and I just did not like it. I found it to be a bit sour and the flavors did not really sit well with me. It's a good spot if you are in the area and want a quick bite to eat especially if you are looking for a halal spot. Service was nice and friendly.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They greet you as soon as you walk into the restaurant and thank you for stopping by when you leave. It feels great to be acknowledged right away. The food tastes amazing as well and their milkshakes are soo delicious. The place is very clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it. Overall great experience every time my daughter and I visit.

Service was nice, and the ambiance was clean and with modern decor. The chicken was decent. I got the honey which lack seasoning but was good with the dipping sauce. Others ordered medium which had a decent amount of seasoning. I wonder if the no spice means no flavor??? About that waffle.... It's a big no for me. It was super sweet with chucks of sugar crystals- a huge turn off. One was so big it looked like a tooth. We also tried the red velvet puck and it lives to its name. It was gross and crumbly. Recap: Chicken decent Waffle gross Red velvet Puck- puck

Spicy chicken sandwich, fries, coleslaw slaw and pickles with a blueberry lavender lemonade.

1st timer great customer service. House lemonade are delicious. Tasty spicy chicken sandwich is worth every penny. Modern style chicken spot for all ages.

Boy was I surprised to be seated by a hostess only to glance around to find a bar, enclosed patio and semi open kitchen. Did the meal itself differ from its fast casual counterparts? Not by much, but the offerings were more robust. I love to see pie on the menu alongside shakes, and while Mac and cheese and fries are welcome, orange chicken, Korean spices, broccoli salad, collards and heavenly eggs are a welcome change of pace. Our first trip (dine in) was about a 4-5 star experience. I waiter was not the most attentive and the food took quite awhile but the experience was positive enough for me to return. The second trip was a drive thru experience and it was...not as pleasant. Our service wasn't the best, our attendant less than enthused to be doing their job. A matter of fact, I felt like I was bothering her by ordering. While my food was fine, my sandwich came without napkins and again the food (one sandwich) took quite awhile. I'm unsure if I'll return with so many options in the area, but I'm glad I experienced them twice!

Not without strain ofcourse, I was just a little distracted with other pursuits and unwilling to make the drive to Humble. My first visit to the Spring location, I'm excited to announce that Chick Houz and I have reunited, and the meal was delicious. We ordered the family meal (the chicken special), both desserts :), and ofcourse a chicha morada. The whole chicken plus three sides was enough to feed four (and likely another), and while we were expecting maximum flavor from the chicken, the yucca fries were a beautiful, crispy, soft, comforting surprise. If I could, I'd eat them daily. That being said, I'd honestly reorder everything. If you've yet to give them a visit, know that they're worth droppin

The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating. The menu offers a solid variety without being overwhelming. Our food came out quickly, hot, and smelled amazing right from the start. I ordered the Lomo Saltado--tender beef sautéed with red onions and Roma tomatoes, served with white rice and crispy French fries, topped with a touch of cilantro. It was very flavorful and satisfying. I also had a cup of chicha, the traditional drink made from purple Peruvian corn, and it was nicely done. We also tried the Brasa Burrito, which was packed with pulled rotisserie chicken, queso fresco, green onions, cilantro aioli, and a bit of fried rice (chaufa-style), along with black beans, Mexican crema, crispy onions, romaine lettuce, and Roma tomatoes on the side, plus your choice of sauce. A unique and tasty combination. The rotisserie chicken itself was excellent--juicy and well-seasoned. We had a half chicken (all white meat) served with rice chaufa and French fries, which made for a hearty and delicious meal. Our server was attentive throughout, checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. While it wasn't as authentic as what I'm used to, it was still a very enjoyable meal--especially for Texas.

annie b's really surprised me!…read more i was up north visiting with family, and a family member put in the request for soul food. i immediately panicked because this isn't a part of town i am familiar with and had ZERO recommendations for this neighborhood!! after a diligent investigation between google and yelp, i landed on annie b's. my family agreed, so the pursuit of soul food began. we visited annie b's on saturday around 4:50p-5p. once we walked in, we were immediately met with a line of customers and also customers waiting around for their food. the seating arrangements are similar to that of a dining hall of a church-- very southern. they do not have a bar and do not serve alcohol. there is also a dress code, this is a family restaurant and the aunties will be judging you DOWN!! no exclusions, they just ask for respectful attire. we placed our order @ 5:24p and we received our order around 6:45p. they close @ 6p on saturdays. there is a sign inside that states "this is not fast food, so please be patient" or something like that. bring your patience, and if you are in starvation mode.. have an apple and chill tf out. because my family and i were so patient, the sweet auntie at the register, gave us all banana puddings with our plates. the food was sooo damn good. i would wait all over again. i ordered a veggie plate : cabbage, green beans, candied yams, cornbread. it was so much food, that i divided it up into two meals! my cousins also loved their food; they ordered a pork chop plate and an oxtail plate. for the day, the oxtail plate was $33. on the menu, it says mkt price. would 1000% recommend, and if i find myself in the neighborhood again.. i will be patiently waiting on my veggie plate bonné appétit c.

I would like to eat on a real plate. Here is the kicker, all is served in a to go container with logic. The portions are HUGE!!! I got the oxtails and had about 6-7 in the box on a generous bed of rice and gravy. Both of which I will not complain about because what could be better? Oh and the sides.... Either way it took me two days and three meals to eat it all. So there is plenty of food and logic in the take out container as if it came in a plate, there would be no side rails. Corn bread was great! Wish they had butter with it. Service was not the fastest as most of the dishes are made already so service could be quicker. And sound bougie when I say this, but I like table service and it is counter service. It is good, would I go out of my way to stop, no, if I am in the area, yes I would go again to try some other dishes.

I remembered it was nearby, so I told my boyfriend we might as well take advantage of the deal and try somewhere new while we were in the area. When we got there, the place looked renovated. There were a couple tables inside and the ordering counter was immediately on the left when you walked in. The workers at the counter were helpful while we ordered. We both ended up getting the kbbq chicken bowls. My boyfriend got the spicy version and I got the regular with added cabbage because I love the little crunch it gives. The food came out pretty quickly and we decided to eat inside. Honestly, the bowls were good and very filling for the size we ordered. It's a pretty simple meal , rice on the bottom and chicken on top ,but sometimes simple just works. While I was eating it, I kept telling my boyfriend the chicken tasted super familiar and I couldn't figure out why at first. Then it finally hit me, it tastes almost identical to the teriyaki chicken from Panda Express. And honestly, I didn't mind that at all because I actually like that flavor. So if you've had Panda Express teriyaki chicken before, that's probably the closest comparison I could give. One thing that definitely made the bowls even better was adding the soy sauce packets they had on the side. That extra flavor pulled everything together for me. Overall, I enjoyed it. It's not anything super fancy or life-changing, but it was a simple, tasty meal that didn't feel too heavy, which I personally liked. I told my boyfriend if we're ever back in the area, we'd definitely stop by again.
