I was so excited to see Bojangles finally open in Tomball!!! I couldn't wait to try it, and let me tell you the chicken was bomb It was crispy, flavorful, and definitely lived up to the hype. The only downside was the ordering experience, the girls taking orders over the intercom were a little short and talked over me, which made things confusing when I was trying to figure out my combo (I didn't realize fries are considered a "fixin"). Once I pulled up to the window, they seemed more chill, so maybe they were just rushed. Overall though, I'll definitely go back because the food was great I just hope next time the service comes with a bit more patience and southern charm.

Bojangles, Portillos and Smalls Sliders, a trifecta of craveable favorites. Lucky for me, they're now all located within walking distance of one another. Bojangles holds a special place in my culinary journey. I often chose them as my preferred hangover meal in my first few years of undergrad. If you're curious about the menu, it really boils down to choosing a quantity of chicken tenders and a few sides. I chose a 5 tender meal for the family for takeout. Because I don't live far, I expected fresh, hot chicken so when I took my first nostalgic bite, expecting my tastebuds to be transported back to former times, I slumped back in disappointment. The chicken was no longer warm, neither were the fries. After reheating them, everything was fine. My husband gave the meal a higher rating than I did. 4 stars for the drive-thru service, and a few less for the food. Best believe, when I'm once again in that trifecta of flavor, I'll be back to try again.

Peach Cobbler

Stopped for a quick lunch and grabbed drive thru. They are quick but because of that they did forget to put the Bojangles sauce that we were anxious to try. We didn't realize it was missing until we got home...womp, womp! We were also missing a spoon or fork to eat the mac. Order taker/ cashier was busy and efficient so they really can't interact much but the next window serving the food was very polite and had a great attitude. The chicken is FLAVORED! Normally the crust can be plain with most fast food chicken spots but theirs did not lack! The biscuits are just like Grammy would make with a good crisp outside and fluffy inside....YUM! Peach cobbler fruit was not too sweet which I love but it seemed like the biscuit used was tough which makes me think they may be older biscuits possibly. Definitely did not taste like the fresh plain biscuit we had with the meal. Overall a good spot for a quick bite if you're in the mood for chicken or biscuits.

Bo's Chicken Sandwich

I love that they are expanding Bojangles closer to the surrounding Houston area. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for years and glad I found them through passing. I ordered Bo's Chicken Sandwich and the presentation was absolutely beautiful lol. It looked like the perfect sandwich. I had to wait for them to drop new filets so my chicken was very fresh. It was a nice size and thickness too. Upon tasting, it immediately reminded me of something then it finally came to me and it was Popeyes!! The chicken smells and tastes exactly like Popeyes but has a darker color and different crust texture. Also I don't know if their original chicken always has a bite but my sandwich was kind of spicy. Overall, the sandwich was good and i'm looking forward to returning and trying their breakfast items.

Kids meal chicken tenders and mac & cheese
Requel P.

I only tried this location once and when I went I got a kids meal so I can't speak on a full meal experience yet. I did have one experience at an airport but that wasn't a great experience so I decided to give them another chance, Since airport food can be a hit or miss. The restaurant was very clean and the service was really fast. I got my food before I could even fill up my soda. For my kids meal I got a Two piece chicken tenders and Mac and cheese order. The chicken tender actually had some spice to it like Cajun style seasoning. It was pretty good and the chicken tender was a pretty large size and cooked well. The Mac and cheese was good too. If I'm ever nearby 1 again I will try a full meal and see how I like the chicken then and maybe some of their other sides.

Great first impression, walked in got greeted and any questions I had being a newcomer Antione was of great service and friendly. Food was pretty good and will most likely come back.

Chicken strips were the best thing I tried there

First time trying Portillo's and wow -- I was impressed. I ordered a Chicago-style hot dog (no…read moreonions, peppers, or pickles), a chili cheese dog, a medium fry, a chocolate cake shake, and a slice of their chocolate cake. The hot dogs had great flavor, and I liked the amount of toppings. The quality was solid, with a nice snap to the bite. The fries were mediocre nothing special But the real stars of the meal were the cake shake and the slice of chocolate cake. The hot dogs would make my rating a 4 but the cake slice + cake shake bumps my review up to a solid 5! I wasn't expecting the shake to be that good -- it was loaded with pieces of cake in every sip. The chocolate cake itself was moist, airy, and rich without being overly sweet. It had the perfect balance between cake and frosting. I'll definitely be back and making this a regular treat.

First heard of Portillo's at the car show at Reliant stadium a few months back as they had a vendor…read morebooth in the arena and they handed out info about the place. Just been so busy but finally got time to go and try. I will say that I wasn't impressed overall. But I also knew I was going for a hotdog and my friends were gonna order a broiled chicken sandwich. First from outside the bldg looks nice and modern and has a diner vibe. Inside looks diner/retro sorta and plenty of seats inside and outside. Overall appearance looks good. Staff friendly and welcoming and helpful with our questions since first time visitors. My main issue is they are pretty much à la carte. But do have a few combos on a center menu bar. but it didn't list all items or show all items available in combo form. I asked cashier if I had to order each item separate and she said yes. So my hotdog was $3.89, reg fries $2.99 and drink $2.49 so a total of $9.37 before taxes and the broiled chicken sandwich $7.19 so a total of $12.67 ea. Total for all 3 was $37.57 The hotdog had no size choices meaning regular or 100% beef frank or larger size. So the hotdog I got was a regular sized hotdog and the bun and toppings were bigger in size and portion then hotdog. The broiled chicken looks like a half of piece of a chicken patty, very small for the price. Way smaller than other fast food places like a chic-fil-a, Whataburger or Popeyes. The fries were actually really good but I wanted onion rings so when I asked the cashier if they were real onions cut up and battered or even pre frozen but real onion rings and not fake onions rings like BK she said no they are not real onion rings so I passed on ordering them. Once we went to the drink station they were out of sweet tea, and didn't have lids to fit the cups they gave us. I got a soda and then when I picked up our food I saw a drink station for drive thru and asked cashier if she could give me a sweet tea and she did but it didn't taste good at all so I decided to drink the root beer I originally poured. Trash bins were full, my table was clean but the seat I had to wipe down crumbs before sitting down. They had a lot of workers behind the counter not sure why there wasn't one or two in dining room cleaning and taking trash out and restocking drink station. Over all the hotdog did taste ok, but as a comparison the Chicago dog I use to get at James Coney Island with the option to upgrade to a beef frank is way better overall. They really should add an option to upgrade to a bigger dog. The chicken sandwich overall tasted good but very small and over priced. Due to portion size and higher prices compared to what you can get at other fast food places with larger portions I probably won't return.

Located in a HEB lot off 99 and I feel the HEB helps with traffic flow. Bldg looks nice from outside and inside is new and modern looking but sorta basic nothing fancy about it. Basic front counter and 1 small menu board and 1 small drink station. But in my opinion from a business point of view too many workers. The place was busy but not swamped to have 10+ workers. But drive-thru had many cars so maybe I'm wrong. Greeted as soon as we walked in with a worker saying "welcome in" and we placed our order and asked some questions and the cashier/order taker was friendly and helpful with explaining things to us. Prices are low ($3.50 for single and $8 for a single cheese combo) but the burgers are very small...as a comparison they are the size of a Jr burger. I ordered a single cheese without knowing this and my friends ordered doubles. $30 total. On reciept they break down the order and they number the burgers so you know who gets which burger as I added items to mine. The burger comes with lettuce and 1 tomato slice and special sauce (mayo based) I added onions and pickles but did not add ketchup or mustard as I wanted to try the special sauce and see if any good. Fries are thin and have skin on and were really crunchy, the fries were the best part of my experience, the burger was just OK and too small for adult male. My friends got the doubles and said it equaled a single normal size burger you'd get at other burger places as far as how filling the double was. I would suggest ordering a double if you're an adult who's hungry. They also have banana bread which seems odd for a burger place and really good cookies. We tried the bread and cookie and both were really good and sign states fresh made daily in store. Over all good experience but portion size to small for me to go back as I prefer a good size burger

Crispy, golden, and honestly the best part of the meal. 2 stars But then Trill committed a crime. No tea. In Houston. At a burger joint. I'm sorry, but that's like a Buc‑ee's with no bathrooms. It just feels illegal on a spiritual level. Now, the burgers. I wanted to love them. I really did. But the flavor was flatter than a parking lot in Katy. The only things carrying the bite were the cheese and the Trill sauce--and even that sauce, which is supposed to be Thousand Island‑adjacent, is doing its own thing entirely. Not bad, just not what it claims to be. The vegan burger? Listen... I appreciate the effort, I really do. But it was suspiciously meatlike. One bite and I tapped out. The cheese and pickles were nicely balanced, though. And because the cashier mentioned the sauce was mayo‑based, I played it safe and got it on the side. I'm not convinced they fully understand what "vegan" means, but at least they're trying. Also the bathroom needed a quick refresh. Not a disaster, just noticeably not‑fresh. Bottom Line Trill Burgers has personality for days: -Great music -Great staff - Great fries But the burgers need a glow‑up, the vegan labeling needs a little education, and the lack of tea is a Texas tragedy. It's a fun spot with potential just not quite trill enough to live up to the hype.

There's nothing worse than ordering a "cooked fresh, made to order burger" and ending up with one that's barely warm. I was told, "All of our burgers are made to order," which sounds right. But when you get home after a 7-minute drive and your burger is registering 74 degrees, it definitely feels a little bamboozling. What really gets me is that my fries were hotter than the burger. And this isn't the first time it's happened either. Lately, they've been very hit or miss. I genuinely don't understand why it's so difficult to serve food that's actually hot when it's supposed to be made to order.
