Came here for the first time and got a mild slider. It was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the slider. I thought they would be smaller, but the portion was great and filling. I took a star off for service because I had to wait a while to get my sandwich. I sat and watched everyone who ordered after me get their food before me. Came the day after grand opening, expected a wait cause they had just opened so won't complain about that. I love the ambiance, the decorations and paintings give it a nice style and feel to the whole restaurant. Ever since the Dave's NOT Chicken was released ("Chicken" Sandwich made with battered cauliflower), I have been a frequent customer. The seasoning of the cauliflower and fries compliment the entree. I am also fond of the sauce (similar to Cane's) and slaw that comes on the sandwich. Service is fickle, and at times the seating is a bit packed but I still come back. I had a great experience at Dave's Hot Chicken! The location was convenient and the environment was comfortable and inviting. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my visit. Even the napkins were cool! As someone who loves spicy food, I was excited to try Dave's Hot Chicken. The cashier was helpful in recommending the mild spice level so that I could still" taste the flavors without overwhelming my taste buds". While I appreciate the recommendation, I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with the flavor of the spice itself. Although the chicken was good, I found the mild spice level to be too tame for my liking, and the spice seemed as if it had some taco seasoning in the mix, which is what overpowered everything in my opinion. I personally love tacos but hate the seasoning mix. That being said, I appreciate the thinking about me the customer, and about gradually building up the spice level for those who are new to Dave's Hot Chicken. Needless to say, I still enjoyed my experience and would recommend giving it a try if you're in the mood for some tasty fried chicken. This was my first try at Dave's Hot Chicken. Since there isn't one in my state I knew I had to try it. I arrived and went through the drive thru & the speed of service was great. I ordered a slider & tender combo, my slider was Hot while my tender was medium. The medium tender didn't have that great of flavor, however the slider was the star of the show. The heat was there but not overbearing, also there was 10x more flavor on the chicken slider than the tender. I had a great experience with visiting so Id definitely come back. read more

I've never tried this place so thought I'd give it a try and went through the drive thru. The first thing I was struck by are the high prices, but hoped it was worth it. I ordered a single slider (medium) and a small drink. I paid $9.61 which is a little high for something the size of a regular cheeseburger. The tenders were so juicy crispy and flavorful and with the Dave's sauce and honey it was a 10. The fries are seasoned so well and were still crispy. Also I like to substitute the drink with a vanilla Oreo milkshake and it's so good. They put vanilla Ice cream and fresh crushed Oreos in so the Oreos don't get soggy and are still crunchy. Also the service was nice. The person taking our order was nice. Overall it was really good and the only bad thing was that it took a pretty long time for them to bring us our food. Absolutely Incredible!!! Service was so nice, smiled and were very welcoming, made great recommendations and added to the overall exercise. The Food was beyond incredible. I have been to Prince's as Haddie B's in Nashville and I must say Dave's not only can hang with them but may even be the best. The food is incredibly flavorful with the perfect amount of heat and lots of heat levels to choose from. The fries have some great seasoning and the prices and portion are great. I was so excited to see this restaurant being added to my area and couldn't wait for it to open . My husband and I finally stopped by to check out what all the hype was about . We decided to order through the drive -thru during lunch time . We ordered the #3 , which included one chicken slider & one chicken tender . I ordered the fries and "hot" level for my flavor . Just a little disappointed that for the price you pay, you do not get a drink included, but that was not a big deal. My only complaint would be that the drive-through service time did take quite a while, but that is expected for a new restaurant getting into the swing of things. We loved it so much that we decided to return the following day. This time we went inside and placed our order. I ordered the two slider combo and hot and this time it was absolutely perfect even better than the first time the chicken was juicy flavorful the fries are fresh and the timing was quicker than the drive-through service time .
