Went in for a bagel and a cup of coffee. They forgot to give me my coffee cup ( they did give me the larger cup for the inconvenience) I had to ask for a lid for the coffee, but the coffee out of the carafe was like warm at best. I got a basic sesame bagel with a heavy schmeer and the schmeer was all over the outside of the bag. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. I was pretty disappointed. The bagels are fantastic, but they microwave the bagel?? Seriously it makes it rubbery. Also, the American cheese, is it Kraft singles. I was driving South from The Woodlands one morning and set my next destination for Fuhgedaboutit Bagel Company. The name of the business is really cool to me. The "Leaving Brooklyn - Fuhgeddaboutit" sign in New York also pays homage to this New York/New Jersey phrase. When I arrived, lots of people were walking into the bagel shop, which is a good sign to me. I thought there would be a significant wait, but the line actually moved quickly. Once inside, I looked at the bagel selection, and there wasn't much that I could see as almost every bagel bin had no bagels. I've never really seen this before at any bagel shop I've been to. Whomever owns and/or manages the shop should insist the bagel selection should be more visible to customers. You can decide what you want by reading a list ahead of time, but presentation matters. The bagels, in my opinion, were really good. Both 5/5. I ordered one Everything bagel and one Salt bagel. I loved that the Salt bagel actually wasn't super salty as is the case with other bagel shops I've been to. The texture of the bagels was also good--kind of on the springy side and not tough. I enjoyed my visit to this bagel shop and hope to return to try other items next time I'm on this side of town. 4/5, Recommended! P.S. I thought the service was great, by the way. read more

Went in to order to-go. Partner ordered the Chairman and requested cream cheese on one half of the sandwich instead of both sides since the cream cheese tends to overpower the other ingredients. He reiterated it twice and both times were acknowledged by the young lady typing it into their system and by the lady assisting her at the register. I ordered an Asiago bagel with vegetable cream. Realized once we got home that they disregarded my partners request and put cream cheese on both sides and put plain cream cheese on my bagel instead of vegetable. First time ordering here and it was definitely different. The bagel is probably my favorite. I ordered the lox which was a little bit different than what I'm used to. Not a huge fan but the bagel was so delicious. I'll definitely go back for just the bagel! I ordered through DoorDash so I did not get a chance of seeing what was inside to check it out or even seeing how the service is so I cannot compare on those levels. I've been to many a place trying to find a perfect bagel like the ones I used to have in middle school, but I have yet to find it. But--y'all. I finally found a great bagel place. A place that doesn't burn the bagel to a crisp and then expect me to gnaw on it. And I kind of want to scream it from the rooftops. I've been to New York but did not have a bagel when I was there. I know-- missed opportunity. But I will take the word of the people who are from New York who say that this is the closest thing that they feel like they get up there. There's no price difference for getting light cream or heavy cream cheese, so of course, I got it heavy. Heavy chives cream cheese on my jalapeno and cheese bagel was heavenly. But, personally, I would not do that again. Or I suppose I would-- but I would put my cream cheese on the side because of the warm cream cheese had my bagel slipping and sliding while I was driving and sneaking bites in. So if you're going to bagel and drive, get your cream cheese on the side. That texture was perfect. It had the right amount of chewiness, and it was on the salty side. I prefer that, but I can see how it would be off putting to someone who doesn't like the saltiness. I'll be back to try more flavors. read more

I recently visited Fuhgeddaboudit Bagel Company and had a decent experience. I ordered a blueberry bagel and it was fresh with great texture. However, I did not taste any blueberry notes from this bagel. They have a wide variety of options to choose from and they even have a bagel dog with sausage. They have a few tables so you can enjoy your food in house. The service was great, very polite staff. Not too noisy inside either. The price of my bagel was $3.25, which isn't bad. I would give them another shot and try a different bagel to see if the flavors are there. I wouldn't mind trying a coffee either. Peace. read more

As a native New Yorker who is an expert on Bagels I could not wait to try these bagels. I stopped in one day a few weeks ago and bought a dozen. I was shocked to find how bad these bagels were. They have no taste. They are like a lump of dough that was never intended to be a bagel. When you toast them they get so hard it's like eating a rock. As I read the reviews here stating these are like NY Bagels, whoever wrote that has never tasted a NY Bagel. I grew up on bagels from Brooklyn & NYC. 22 years worth before going to S Florida where they actually have good bagels too not NY but good. These bagels are like from another planet. Tasteless, doughy a waste of money IMO they need to start over and try a new recipe also 20.00 a dozen what a waste of money I threw them out back for the birds to eat. Been here 3 times and every time I have been here they are not friendly. The girl at the register acts like she doesn't want to be here. The prices for a sammie says one price and they upcharge you for a bagel choice. On the menu it says choice of bagel and it you want cream cheese it is also extra. The shop is a good size- lots of variety to choose from a today we got the Chairman and the Hell's Kitchen sandwiches and they didn't disappoint! Big thick slice of tomato, fresh lettuce. Quality cheese and deli meats. Bagel is crispy and doughy all at the same time, cooked to perfection. Topped with a generous but not over powering amount of cheese and the sleeper bite of Jalapeño is a nice touch. Really enjoyed this quick brunch spot. Everything bagel-was seeded to perfection. Some places give you an almost bare everything bagel but no this place, it was the right amount. Jalapeño bagel-it had the right amount of jalapeños, I will say it had too much cheese and it did take over the bagel. Don't get me wrong, it was good just too much cheese but that's just me. Bagels are great but wow, they don't "have it together" yet. Ordering process is slow as hell and it took almost 20 min to get a single bagel toasted. Food 5 Ordering 1 Speed 1 ...I had heard other locations suffer bad ordering/speed problems, I had hoped this location wouldn't also... but you watch one guy bring like bagel dogs from the back and put them in the front, and then watch someone from the back come to the front to pick up two bagel dogs and take it to the back. And then bring them (presumably reheated) *back* out for the customer. Stopped in to try this new location in our neighborhood. We picked up a Hell's Kitchen sandwich, an Everything bagel and a Wild Thyme bagel with honey walnut schmear. Accompanied them with some chips, and washed them down with a latte and an iced espresso. A note here: We came at noon--they close at 1pm and it's definitely better to get your bagels early. They make a batch for the day and when it's gone they close, like BBQ. Fortunately they still had the bagels we wanted. I got the Hell's Kitchen sandwich with American cheese and mayo on a salt bagel. It features all three of the breakfast meats--sausage, bacon, and sliced salt pork. It's an umami and salt bomb, in a very good way. The sandwich was quite thick but could be picked up and ate well, an achievement for a bagel sandwich. Most of the ones I've had slid apart due to the chewiness and density of bagels. Absolutely worth a try. All the bagels looked to have plenty of seasoning. The Everything bagel was densely covered with Everything, the poppy seed bagels were black with poppy, etc. They absolutely taste authentic, with great chewiness and flavor. As others mention, they are very generous with their schmear. It can be worth getting it on the side if you want to control the amount. We did this with the honey walnut schmear, and had plenty left to eat on toast. It was delicious--the honey did not overwhelm the cream cheese. The spread was great on toast too. They have a variety of coffees, so it's not necessary to go somewhere else for that. The coffees by themselves are fine, not worth picking over your favorite chain for a special trip but they get the job of accompanying bagels done. The store is bare, no decoration of any kind. There are four tables if you want to eat there, but the focus is takeout. The single restroom was also bare, but clean and ready. Service was fine. The focus is the bagel. I ordered an everything bagel with lox cream cheese schmear and a bagel dog with cheese and I got both toasted. Both tasted freshly made with a crispy outside and soft fluffy inside. Staff were very nice and helpful, they did not make me feel rushed and I did not have to wait long for my order. I scarfed both down and will definitely be back!
