Best service I've seen in a long time. Friendly faces, very polite and attentive. Perfect hangout spot, Very scenic for pictures. I came with a large party and the upkeep with the table needs was fantastic. Drinks, appetizers and food came out together for a table of twelve. However the food look delicious but lacked in flavor in our opinion. My crab fingers was the best thing I had, I didn't finish the mash or greens. Maybe our tastebuds were off last night. I'll give them another because the service was fabulous. I seen plenty of people enjoying those beautiful cocktails too. lol I'm with child so I'll be back in march.

I went to the meal wheel to decide on lunch on a lazy Saturday afternoon. So glad I chose the Cutten Kitchen. Parking was scarce but we found a spot. We expected it to be super busy inside but already made a reservation online. No need, we were seated right away. Ashley was our waitress and was such a delight. She had recommendations for us and was very attentive. I got the mimosa with passion fruit to start. The menu is available by QR or in print. It was so hard to decide what to get. I ended up with the fish, shrimp and grits. I had them fry the fish, it was fried perfectly, the shrimp were grilled and the grits were yummy. We got a square of delicious cornbread. It had that skillet taste to it. Wasn't sweet like I like it but still really good. My husband got chicken fried chicken with fries, he is not very adventurous. He enjoyed the food, but no brown gravy so he was bummed. He didn't like the cream gravy too much. Prices were good for the food and the atmosphere was fun with nice music playing and the restaurant was buzzing with excitement. We will definitely be back. Best thing is you can pay the bill by scanning the code, order more food and view your charges all from the QR. so many other things I want to try when I go back.

The service was terrible and what made it worst was the server saw me paying with a credit card but it was also cash in my wallet so she said can you give me my tip as cash because on the card is like a check. The food was just ok. I ordered a lunch pork with Mac and cheese and Dirty Rice. We also ordered the fried catfish with Mac and cheese plus sweet fries. The Spinach and Artichoke Dip was good but the chips were stale. The ambiance was like a hangout.

Lemon Pepper Wings

I haven't tried many items here but I've gotten the wings a couple of times and they are very good. They are large, made fresh and the lemon pepper flavor is really good. My one complaint is that the wings are always hairy!!! I know every now and then it's normal to have a feather or two on a wing but it's a common occurrence here! It makes me question their chicken vendor or cleaning process. The wings are very good though so if you don't mind some feathers try them lol. I would like to try more of their entree items here and update this review!

Chicken Ck Fried STEAK

Ordered, to go, the deviled eggs (amazing), crab cakes (also amazing), chicken fried chicken (small portion for the price), and the chicken fried steak..... the chicken fried steak was tough, dry and way overcooked. They did not pack the gravy for either meals and so I had to go back to get it. I've eaten here a few times and had excellent service and food but this experience has left me not wanting to go back. For $100 I expect way more than chicken fried jerky and missing items from my order.

Catfish Mardi Gras with dirty rice

The food was seasoned to perfection. Everything was fresh. There was no meat in the greens but they were flavorful. The hostess was friendly and polite.

I made a good little 45 minute commute from my side of town to meet a friend here at Cutten Kitchen. I had never heard of this spot prior to coming so I didn't know what to expect. It's a pretty casual restaurant that offers a brunch menu all day on Sunday. It was also kid friendly, which is what we were looking for as my friend was bringing her daughter. We were sat immediately upon arrival and we had great serviced from all the ladies that came over and checked on us throughout our visit.n For my drink, I ordered an Island Ting which was a blend of rum punch and a house margarita. It wasn't bad but I feel like they used bottom shelf liquor as I was getting a little after taste from it. My friend ordered the Sittin Sidewayz and it was pretty strong but again I would've preferred a better liquor. I'm assuming it was the Tequila in the house margarita that I wasn't too crazy about. Nonetheless, it's reasonably priced and served in a tall glass. For my meal, I order the brunch sampler which was a phenomenal deal to me for $30! It came with 2 lamb chops, 3 chicken tenders. A side of potatoes, greens and eggs! Like this was almost enough to feed a family. There were some hits and misses though. The lambchops were perfect for me and the chicken tenders were cool. My eggs were undercooked (I asked for scrambled hard) and the potatoes could've been cooked a little more for me as well but I tasted the masked potatoes too and they were much better and very well seasoned. I also ordered the house cornbread and they were fire!!! I would probably come back again but I would hope certain things taste better the next time around.

Strawberry Mimosa

We finally made it after seeing this place on TikTok and it was very much worth the wait!! The complimentary cornbread was so good! It was warm and a great way to start the meal. Our appetizer was the deviled eggs with shrimp and they did not disappoint. Flavorful and the lightly breaded shrimp on top made it even better. My husband had the pork chops with mashed potatoes and corn. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal. He also enjoyed his raspberry mojito. I had the catfish mardi gras. The catfish was blackened perfectly. It was served with dirty rice and greens. My meal was fantastic!! I definitely see myself having it again. The portions were just right. I really loved my strawberry mimosa. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They took care of us and checked in on us throughout the meal. I love that!! The music they were playing set the vibe and I saw several people singing along to the music. They also have a couple of places for great photo opportunities. I really had a great time there and didn't want to leave honestly. They have happy hour from 3-7 daily.

The scenery was really nice. There is a spot leading up to the restroom where you can take pictures. Beautiful! I ordered the Seafood combo with catfish and shrimp. My two sides were fried corn and dirty rice. The rice wasn't done. Great taste, but I couldn't eat it. Do I got the mac and cheese. The catfish was totally delicious. I'd give it three and a half stars. It was great meeting up with old family friends.

This my second visit this week. I passed by and had to double back because the pancake was calling my name. I was fortunate enough to be served by Gabby both times. She is delightful and very familiar with the menu. Thanks Gabby! We had lots of questions earlier in the week. I had none today because I was getting that pancake! Very friendly atmosphere. Great music.

It's been a while since I've been here. The Honey Cornbread is still best. I must say the changes are for the better. The atmosphere gives Vibes and the new menu items are superb... I will be back soon.

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

I wanted to start with one biscuit, but the biscuits come in pairs. The waitress said I could order just one anyway, but the order ended up being two. I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restauant. which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register. I did not receive a check either, but the amount I was charged at the register seemed accurate -- and I was paying attention because I had read the other reviews first.

I was catching up with my sister, we were there about 5 hours and the restaurant was empty. A mature-aged Asian woman came in, spotted the restroom door, and proceeded to it. The manager/owner (older man with balding hair) RAPIDLY went from the other side of the restaurant to intercept the woman right at the restroom entrance. He asked her what she needed, she told him to use the restroom, he then asked if she needed a table. When she replied "no", he stated that restrooms are for paying customers only. She was embarrassed, froze, said "Okay", and walked towards the exit. The guy saw my sister and I watching this unfold with screwfaces, so he tells the woman at the exit "Well go ahead and use it, you're already in here, I guess". While she was in the restroom he made a sign about their restroom stance and was taping it to the front door as the woman was exiting the building. We left immediately also. A business has the right to have such a ridiculous regulation, but this woman was dressed clean and came from a Lexus SUV. She wasn't homeless or some street prostitute that might be reckless in a public restroom. The idiot guy was petty, rude, inconsiderate, cold, and careless. I refuse to spend money at an establishment run by such a person.

The gentleman that greeted us was so nice and made us feel so welcomed! It wasn't one of those "oh I have to be nice to these guests because I'm getting paid" type people, you could really tell his niceness was genuine. I felt like I was at a fine dining restaurant. Our server was also very nice, and super helpful as I asked for a wine suggestion and she hit the nail with her suggestion. She brought a small sample for me to try before serving it. The food itself was delicious! We got the onion rings appetizer, and you could tell they were made to order. They were super fresh and also crispy. The chicken parmigiana was good, and they were not stingy with their portions at all. The picture I took doesn't do the dish justice. I will definitely go back to this place, as their food, service and overall experience is a great one when you dine in.

We shared a bowl of the potato soup where we had no expectations and I thought it tasted pretty decent. But the real test was the entrees. Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. We reached consensus immediately that both dishes were well-seasoned and quite delicious, meaning we would return for more good food in the future. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
