I really liked Swanny's grill. The ambiance was nice, and the food was good. Nice playground area for kids & lots of activities for adults as well! This place had a great concept. I loved all the volleyball/pickleball courts. Service was the drawback - but it wasn't worse than a typical icehouse. Food was pretty good - I got the chipotle chicken sandwich. The avocados were missing :( Beer was good and cheap. The chips and salsa was good. Even the live music was pretty good too. Overall, I'd come back here again. I had a good time. Would be super fun to play some volleyball and grab a beer

This is an easy five star review. I have been living in the neighborhood for about 13 years now and I cannot believe I've never been here. My son, however, has been coming here often on for a few years with his friends from high school. With that being said, I'm very happy I stopped in. Great customer service, great food, great outdoor experience with 65° weather. We had a great time. Food: the chips and queso were really good. We also got an order of buffalo wings for the table which were absolutely amazing. One thing I will note the 9.99 for six wings is quite high but I have to admit, though the wings were amazing. I really enjoyed the wings. However, they need to adjust the price of the wings because I will probably not get wings again because 9.99for six wings is simply not enough wings. The bacon cheeseburger was really good as well. So are the tater tots. Everything we had was amazing. Everyone on the table really enjoyed their food. It was about six of us and this was all our first time and we all had a great time. I will definitely be back here soon. This is a great place to come and enjoy the outdoor great where they were about to experience. Do yourself a favor and stop by and give them a try. Don't wait. 13 years like I did.

We moved from Oregon to Texas and in the last 3 months have come here 4 times. Food is great, service amazing, we love to bring our golf clubs to hit balls. We typically hang out in the back bar which is outdoors looking at the driving range. Highly recommended place to get good food and enjoy all the amenities

Stumbled upon this place after being invited by my husband's soccer team for a scrimmage. Truly a tucked away gem; really nice landscaping, outdoor seating, great comfort food/drinks, and surprisingly live music. Since my first visit I've been here several times, each time has been pleasant. I love the fact that it's the perfect place to bring the whole family as you can safely watch the kiddos while dining. It was originally a golf course, but now they are transitioning into a soccer field. As far as the food, their burgers are deeelish. The buns are buttery & soft, and I also like the stuffed nachos. Surprisingly, their house Canyon wine is one of my favorites as well. Anyhue, glad to have stumbled upon this spot and will be returning. :D

We love the concerts here! So fun for the whole family and great bands to see. It's right across the street from where we live so it's super convenient too. Service is super slow, any time we go. It can take a long time when you're there that's for sure so come prepared for that! If you have kids they will stay entertained running around playing on the playground or in the sand though! For the most part we have had great experiences with staff there was one male bartender and the main bar last Friday who was less than friendly, seemed annoyed with other staff members as well as his customers. I'm glad it wasn't my first time being there because he would have impacted my desire to ever return. I hope it was just an off day and he's feeling better so everyone has a good experience, himself included when he's at work. The food is good, staff is mostly good, service consistently slow, environment is so family friendly, and the concerts are super fun!

Turkey Burger w/fries - very dry, not much flavor

This place is an awesome place to just hang with friends, relax, enjoy the outdoors on a huge patio with live music & great service. Can't remember oir waitress name but she was awesome, from San Diego & had the bubbly fun Cali personality to match. The place has an oldtime country feel, chairs r hard metal & older, tables to match. Don't come dressed up or in heels it's not that kinda place. The food menu has great variety, mainly bar like food, burgers, salad, sandwiches, nachos etc. They do have $2 Taco Tuesday but the hours are only from 11-2pm so unless your on lunch break you'll miss it. They also have Happy hr deals on drinks $1, $2, $3 off select drinks. The prices are fair for the items they serve. Onto the food: Turkey Burger - Great bun, nice produce, very very dry turkey patty with no seasoning. It was hard for me to choke it down even after I drinched it in bbq sauce & mayo. Total let down. Stuffed Nachos - FANTASTIC! Great seasonings, lots of cheese, nice oily tortilla like homemade, little spice, tender juicy chicken this dish was very satisfying. It's not a large dish so ordering it as an appetizer is suggested of your hungry. There aboit 6 pieces of 2 bites per piece. Comes with a guacamole ranch dip very nice, little on the watery side though. All in all great place for entertainment, drinks & laughs with friends or family. Very kid friendly location.

Loved the food. It's too hot to do much outside but it was 88 degrees inside. Is there always no air conditioning?

The sports bar had R&B playing moderately loud (but no issues carrying on a conversation). I can only imagine the vibe may be different with larger crowds in the evenings/weekends. The menu is a QR code on the table. They have a large outside covered patio. Lots of TV's inside & outside. The salmon salad was very good. The salmon was cooked just right & very well seasoned. Nice size, generous amount of toppings (eggs, tomatoes, onions) such that I had toppings in every bite with my lettuce. The entire salad, dusted with a cajun seasoning, was a nice touch. Food was served in a metal plate with plasticware & plastic cups. (I'm sure the 'plastic' is helpful for managing the outside dining.) Chef Dee came out to check on us. She saw me taking a picture of my food & playfully said 'hey you gotta take a pic of the chef who created it'. Of course I took her pic!! Based on my salmon salad, I would definitely try other items on the menu if ever in the area again. Try them out. If you don't prefer a crowd, pop in for lunch.

"Celebrating Mama Bear" 04-18-26…read more My family and I visited Cutten Kitchen together for the first time, and we absolutely loved it. My eldest sister was the one who searched for places to celebrate our mother's birthday, and she definitely picked a winner. She felt like this would have been a restaurant our mom would have truly enjoyed if she were still here on this earth, and she got it right. Let me count the reasons why Mama would have loved this restaurant: the aesthetics, the well-seasoned food, the lively vibe, the soulful energy of the atmosphere, and the wonderful customer service. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hostess, Victoria, whose professionalism and mannerisms were spot on. She was so friendly and welcoming. She held the door open for us when we entered, and she even held it open again when we left. Our server, Daniella, matched that same level of professionalism. She was not intimidated or nervous by our group at all. She greeted us warmly, introduced herself, and took our drink and appetizer orders with ease and confidence, which let me know she knew exactly what she was doing. She also offered great drink suggestions that we really enjoyed. I do not want to bore you with a long, drawn-out review, so I'll keep this part simple. The atmosphere is welcoming, with music playing at a nice medium volume through the overhead speakers. The dining room is extremely spacious and clean. Food Ratings: Fried Catfish/Shrimp Platter - 4/5 Both were fried to perfection, with nice crunchy edges and a soft, succulent, meaty texture inside. However, it was a bit too salty for my health. Fried Fish and Grits Platter - 5/5 My younger sister said she could taste the authenticity of Black culture in the well-seasoned grits and she enjoyed them. The CK Burger - 5/5 My son said this burger was delicious, and he tore it up too! The CK Patty Melt - 5/5 My eldest sister said it was delicious and felt like it melted in her mouth with every bite. Salmon Bites Appetizer - 5/5 Fried to perfection and surprisingly not too salty. Fried Plain Wings/Lemon Pepper Wings/French Fries - 5/5 Everything was served piping hot and extra crispy. Deviled Eggs Appetizer - 5/5 Everyone around the table loved these babies. My eldest sister said she did not care too much for the fried chicken tender on top, but overall, they were still a hit. Dirty Rice - 1/5 Too salty and too greasy for my liking. It also lacked the authenticity I was hoping for. Mac and Cheese - 5/5 According to my daughter, the mac and cheese was a 5/5. However, it did have a spicy kick, so my son gave it a 4/5. If you like spicy mac and cheese, then you will probably love theirs. Collard Greens - 5/5 This item stole the show for me. The collard greens were delicious, not too salty, and seasoned just right. Here's the shocker: instead of using pork in their collards, they used turkey neck. I was genuinely impressed because a lot of people believe pork is the only way to get that deep, flavorful taste in greens, but Cutten Kitchen proved otherwise. Blueberry Lemon Drop - 5/5 This drink may seem girlie, but it hit like a man. Sitting Sideways Cocktail - 5/5 This one hits just right and gives you a nice little buzz. Pineapple Upside Down Crown - 4/5 It was a little too sweet and did not have enough liquor for me, but it was still delicious after I poured an extra shot of Crown in it. Overall, Cutten Kitchen is an upbeat, lively, and soulful establishment that offers some of the best Southern cuisine in the area. I highly recommend this place if you love authentic soul food, great customer service, and a vibrant atmosphere. FYI: Parking is plentiful, but it would probably be best to make a reservation beforehand. I have heard this place can get packed.

She was pleasant and did her best, but it took a very long time for her to take our order, and the food took an equally long time to arrive. As for the food, it was a mixed experience. The lamb chops were actually very good and were probably the highlight of the meal. However, everything else fell short. The salmon bites were disappointing, and overall the food seemed to be lacking seasoning and flavor. The cornbread was another letdown. The only sweetness came from the glaze on top--the actual cornbread itself tasted more like a plain muffin with no sweetness or flavor of its own. I ordered the breakfast sampler with grits and eggs, but the grits that were served were heavily seasoned, dark Cajun-style grits rather than the traditional white grits most people expect with a breakfast plate. When I asked about it, I was told that's the only type of grits they serve. If that's the case, there should be a disclaimer on the menu because "grits and eggs" typically implies traditional breakfast grits, not the style usually served alongside dishes like shrimp and grits or catfish and grits. My husband ordered the lamb chops and eggs, my son had the chicken and waffles, and we also shared the salmon bites and cornbread. Unfortunately, aside from the lamb chops, nothing really stood out in a positive way. Considering the amount we spent, I left disappointed. While the staff was friendly and doing their best under the circumstances, the long wait times and lack of flavor in most of the food made the experience underwhelming. I would not return.

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.
