They still took care of me, and I finally got to try the Philly cheesesteak hot dog and the elote cup. The hot dog was honestly really good and definitely worth the trip back. Glad they handled the situation professionally. I recommend updating your hours on Google Maps. I drove out here specifically to try the hot dogs and burgers, but unfortunately you were closed when I arrived. It's currently 5 PM, and your profile shows you should have been open since 4 PM. Pretty disappointing experience, hope this gets corrected so others don't run into the same issue.

They were phenomenal. The fries were perfectly crisp (homemade or not), the pork succulent, the sauces flavorful, and the pineapple with the fresh cut jalapenos were the perfect balance of acid and heat to the rest of the dish. I finished them before I could even think to take a picture (I had to steal this one from Facebook). I honestly cannot wait to try more of their food. Bonus points for the A&M pride. #GigEm The reason for deducting a star is due to an accidental (I hope) pricing error. The Papas Ricas are listed on the menu for $8. I was charged $12.99 after tax. I assumed they must have added the $3 queso option without requesting it. This was not the case. I was left scratching my head with quesoless premium edition fries.

Anytime I'm in North Houston, I make it my business to stop by The Better Box. Since moving here,…read morethis has been my most consistent favorite spot--no question. And every single time, I order the exact same thing. The sampler egg rolls? Elite. The standout egg rolls? Always the crab and shrimp. This time, on my way to the airport, they were out of crab, so I went with its substitute (crawfish and shrimp) instead. Still just as good. Honestly, it's a treat for me because, yes, three egg rolls total about $21, but they're more than worth it--hearty, packed full, always fresh. And the different sauces? That's just the icing on the cake. This time around, my friend and her son ordered fries and a Philly cheesesteak. The fries? Crispy and perfectly seasoned. And the Philly? Hands down, the best rendition of a cheesesteak I've had south of Pennsylvania. I will continue to sing the praises of The Better Box. The quality is consistent. The taste is consistent. And no matter where I am in Houston, it's always worth the drive. Plus, the wait is never long! This time it only took 10 minutes to receive our food.

I drove back the 20 minutes it took to get there and when I asked about the Mac and cheese and they told me they were all out despite Uber saying they were in stock and me paying the extra money for it. I was about to leave when I realized they didn't even give me the sauces I'd paid for as well, and it was only until I got home the second time and sat down to finally eat that I realized they only gave me two tenders instead of the three I paid for in each box. It didn't help that the people running the truck didn't speak any English. Needless to say, I'm not ordering from here again, and I'm doing what I can to get the money back for the missing food.

The pani puri was good - especially the imli chutney. The "pani" had a nice flavor but the chutney really took it to the next level. I do wish that there was a little more filling inside the puris but overall it was good. The samosa chat was very good. I would say 8/10. But the star of the show was the masala fries. There were two different types of masala on top and they really made you feel like you were back "home" having these from the street vendors. They were crispy on the outside and just melted in your mouth delicious on the inside. The contrasting flavors of the two different powders on top really made it magical in your mouth. Like the fries were so good we got a second order. When I placed the second order of the fries, I also got a chai. The owner/worker is so nice that he asked me how I wanted the chai i.e. strong/sweet/etc. It took a while for them to bring it out which means that it was made to order and it tasted fantastic! I can't wait to go back and try the other items when I am back in the area.
