Every now and then I let the family order whatever they're craving, and I simply volunteer as the food chauffeur. Well... this pickup took an unexpected turn. The moment I walked through the door, the smell alone had me questioning why I hadn't ordered anything for myself. I walked up to the counter, gave them the name on the order, and boom the food was in my hands. I truly appreciate a restaurant that respects to-go times, and they absolutely nailed it. While exiting, I noticed they also offer a lunch buffet from 11-2:30 which immediately caught my attention for a future visit. Now comes the dangerous part. The kids opened their containers of butter chicken with rice and spicy aloo, and my mouth instantly started watering. The portions were generous, and I found myself asking the same question over and over...**Why didn't I order anything?!** Curiosity officially got the best of me, so yes... I stole a bite. Actually... maybe two. The butter chicken was incredibly flavorful with a rich, creamy sauce that had me wishing there was another container with my name on it. But the real surprise for me was the spicy aloo. I'd never had potatoes prepared quite like that before, and they completely stole the show. I wanted that entire side for myself. Needless to say, next time I'm not just picking up food for the family I'm ordering my own meal too. They have a buffet my husband loves. It is pretty great. They have a vegetarian part of the buffet (which is always the only part I eat) and they had a signboard saying it as $18 as opposed to $20 that I caught on the way out. It would be nice if the staff communicated this. Not a big deal. It definitely has strip mall venue vibes, but the food is good, and isn't that why you go? read more

Hello, I am a regular customer since I was introduced to Palette 4 years ago, so that means 2-3 times per week I enjoy being there. I usually take the buffet which has everything that you look for in an Indian restaurant. The food is always fresh sourced you can literally taste it out of it , always freshly cooked and delicious, never the same boring meal either. The staff is really most helpful and they truly care every day I am there. Just wow! The chicken popsicles were so flavorful as was the lemon rice. But the real kicker was the goat pepper fry was almost exactly like my Mom's! Now I know where to go for my childhood cuisine! OMG FINALLY WE FOUND THE BEST INDIAN FOOD IN TEXAS! From the chewy tasty naan to the delicious chicken korma to the chicken pops with a special sauce, literally a secret sauce that the owner said he made himself. Sweet personal service. The food is absolutely amazing and we always order more than we can eat so we take home leftovers. I'm a junkie for the lamb korma and my husband loves the Goan shrimp curry. An area that could use improvement is serving the table at the same time, sometimes many minutes separate each person getting their food and it takes away from the point, which is sharing a meal with friends and family. read more

It's hard to explain how potatoes can have such a depth of flavor but it was accomplished with this dish. 5/5 Hummus w/garlic naan. The garlic naan is delicious and seasoned thoroughly. The hummus is a perfect pairing in both texture and flavor. It's a beautiful pairing. 5/5 Chicken Vindaloo. It was very spicy but manageable. I sipped my mango lassi and constantly dipped garlic naan in the hummus and it assisted with the heat. Overall this was an outstanding dinner. The best and tastiest Indian food I have had to date--not to mention very friendly and helpful staff. Naan bread is incredibly fluffy and soft. Placed an order through DoorDash with high hopes as we had heard great things about the food. We ordered the Mixed Grill Platter, Garlic naan, & Saag paneer. Would have been great to modify the spice level because we found the saag pretty bland. Portion sizes were small for the pricing & the meat on the grilled platter was unfortunately dry. First- the service: The staff including owners were the nicest. Very friendly. The Ambiance is not a strength as the restaurant is located in a new looking shopping center that appears upscale. The location has ample parking, nice seating and most impressive- very clean. The food is high quality and professionally prepared. I was so disappointed and will never go there again. We were the only ones in the restaurant on Monday Aug 25th. All the food was cold at the buffet. There was so little food in the bowls. The owner lady said that due to the air-conditioning the top gets cold and that we are supposed to stir each pot before serving. Such nonsense!! The Naans were just stacked, like from yesterday. Amazing Indian food!!! I've been coming to this place since they opened and the food never disappoints. Today I took my parents for the first time and they loved the food. The naan garlic bread is delicious and super fresh. My family and I ordered lamb, chicken biriyani and chicken tikka kabob. Everything was delicious. Service was really good. The owner stopped by our table to asked how was everything and she gave us rice pudding (on the house). At the end of my lunch I order Mango Lassi. I had an excellent experience here. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken and the Butter Chicken, and both dishes were outstanding. The Tandoori Chicken was perfectly cooked flavorful, smoky, and tender. The Butter Chicken had that rich, creamy sauce you hope for but rarely get just right. Portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. This is easily one of the best Indian meals I've had in a long time. The Taj Mahal lager paired perfectly with everything. This place prides itself on freshness, and let me tell you ordering takeout is not the same as dining inside. For the weekend, it was $18.99 for buffet plus $1 extra for soda fountain. The unsweetened hot chai is included in the buffet price. I recommend trying the masala fried fish, briyanis, and vegetable korma. The mutter paneer, butter chicken, chicken keema, paneer tikka pizza, and naan (butter or garlic) were tasty too. The bread pudding was very sweet and had a mix of toasty bread slices on the edges to contrast with the soaked and warm bread pieces. The sweet mango pudding was chilled and had pieces of fresh blueberries and sliced strawberries on top. The rasam (spicy soup) was hot and spicy. My mother and I went here for our first time for lunch. We ordered dishes we are familiar with and love, the butter chicken and the Koma chicken. Also ordered hummus with garlic naan. The butter chicken was ok. The meat was "off" to me. My biggest disappointment was my wet napkins. Cloth napkins that is. I had to ask twice for a dry napkin. My first napkin I had wiped my mouth with when I noticed it was damp. When I folded the napkin to set to the side of the table while waiting for a new one, noticed mildew webs on the napkin. I was so grossed out. My second napkin was also damp with mildew webbings as well. Between that and the off tasting butter chicken, and it could be a complete coincidence, but I became super ill later in the day. Horrible cough that I could not contain and chest pains. The next morning horrible stomach issues. And I'm quite a healthy person. The manager I guess she was, very pleasant (and the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars); one of our servers was a nice gentleman; our other server had absolutely zero personality. No smile or warmth. The restrooms were hot and smelly with sticky floors and a bucket catching brown water from the ceiling. I won't be returning. read more
