Malai kofta
Andrea C.

I am so grateful I was introduced to this place, it was EXCELLENT! We ordered to go but sat inside while it was ready. It's a pretty small space but nicely decorated and allows for privacy if you have a small # of people. The staff greeted us and took our order quickly. The wait was a little long for 2 dishes and naan, but they had a lot of orders being picked up while were there. The food? Wow, we got chicken tikka masala (basic I know) and malai kofta. Both dishes came with rice and we got some garlic naan on the side. The smell? Delicious. The taste? Amazing. The pictures don't do it justice, you have to try it for yourself if you're in the area! The flavors blend together perfectly and you can choose your level of spice.

We've ordered for pick up 4-5 times now and are super happy to have good Indian food close to home! The Biryanis and chicken 65 are our favorites, and the samosas have a delicious sneaky spice to them. The butter chicken is tasty and comforting if you're not feeling adventurous.

Just ordered for the first time and it is probably the best Indian food I've had. It's close to aga's flavor wise.

I have heard great feedback about Bambok House and and their authentic Chinese Cuisine. The first…read moretime I visited I planned it to the T and when I visited their bar was not operational any longer, and that was apart of my planning. So I left. The second time I visited, I had the Hong Shao Rou with mushrooms (Braised Pork Belly) to-go, not a huge fan of takeout and this didn't disappoint and it was good. The takeout team member was pleasant enough. They feature an open kitchen with two tops closer to the wall/glass and larger tables more toward the middle of the restaurant. From the outside it features the traditional Chinese architecture with western building base. I look forward to yaksying the rest of the menu this year.

But the inconsistency has been an issue for me, and the flavors aren't as good as they once were. Dishes I regularly ordered like Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Japanese Egg Tofu, and Honey Walnut Shrimp haven't stood out as much as of lately. Dishes like Szechuan Spicy Chicken is still one of my favorite, and Garlic Snow Pea Leaves are delicious when in season. Bamboo House still holds its place as great spot for group dining. The portion is generous, prices are fair, and overall a solid restaurant that's still worth recommending.

UPDATE - lowering this to one star because both my wife and I got sick last night on this stuff!…read more So I walked into the restaurant thinking I'm going to get som amazing Asian food....as I entered the heat of the inside hit me - it was easily 78 degrees. That should've been my first sign when I walked in. It was hotter inside than it was outside. I picked up the menu looked at it for a hot second and then thought well. I'll just order something. So naturally, I said pad Thai, standard Asian meal. Not at this place they didn't have it and she looked at me strange. So I proceeded to look at the menu and found some random dish that looked decent and ordered. Then I ordered drinks and she told us after we had paid the soda had no carbonation in the machine so we could get the drinks out of the fridge. So we went and got the drinks out of the fridge, sat down open them up they both were flat. I suspect if I had checked the dates they were both expired, but I didn't bother. So we sat down and literally one minute later, the food came out... Which tells me that all the food was likely premade, and this was just a buffet that was hidden in the back. I ate, and it was well.... Let's just say the Woodlands Mall Asian foods a bit better than this stuff. Anyhow, I did encourage the team who works here to turn the AC down a little bit, make sure the fridge doesn't have expired drinks/flat drinks, make the food like they serve it to their family. I'll report back shortly and let you know if there are any biological effects of this food... All that for $45 - two dishes, two flat drinks, two rice.

No frills, but we like it. They're "basic" and Westernized but consistent. Tastes fresh, and that's…read morethe most important part. It's one of our family's go-to Chinese takeout/delivery spots, -General's Chicken is crispy and never too spicy. -Sesame Beef is pretty tender. -BBQ Pork Fried Rice is a variation that's hard to come by, and my husband likes the little bits of char siu pork, -The Plain Lo Mein is just noodles tossed in a barely-there sauce that my kiddo loves. Reliably decent.

The woman who took the order over the phone and at the pick up counter wasn't very personable. Seemed as if she was rushing around although the restaurant wasn't at all busy inside. Perhaps just having a bad night? We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, General Tao's, Honey Walnut Chicken, crab puffs, and spring rolls -- portions for dishes were fairly standard, all of which were just ok regarding flavor and texture. General Tso's lacked spice and the texture of the chicken was gristly. Lo Mein was average tasting. Honey Walnut Chicken actually had more spice than the General Tso's... but regardless, was pretty bland. The crab puffs had hardly any cream cheese filling, and the ends of the fried pieces were hard and chewy which was disappointing. How can you screw up a crab puff? The best thing we ate were the spring rolls which were light and crispy paired with the sweet and sour sauce. We wanted to like this place, however, there are far superior Chinese restaurants in the area. I doubt we will try again.

The house fried rice came packed in the container and was still warm when I got home. It was evenly seasoned and tasted fresh. The vegetables weren't over cooked and the meats were delicious. It was very easy to order and the cashier was so nice. The restaurant was clean and nice inside. I can't wait to try another dish from here.
