Food is good but the availability of the food and how long it takes is outrageous. I ordered my sandwich and cookie at 12:03pm and I got to the window after waiting in the drive thru for a long time just to be told to drive around again and wait through the long line. Total time to get a sandwich even with ordering ahead is 30 minutes which is half of someone's lunch break. Not to mention last time I came they didn't have the cookies I wanted ready which I had to wait 40 minutes for. Nasty place. On 3/24/22 and at 2:35pm I entered this establishment. I told the employee that I had never been before and he just responded with "ok". Tried to ask questions. No response. After finally navigating their menu and figuring out what was what, we finally paid. As we went to sit down we found that most of the tables were dirty. Food, crumbs and trash on the tables. The 3 employees behind the counter were more interested in talking and laughing amongst themselves to be bothered to do anything else like clean or speak to a paying customer. This store always act like they are in a crisis and rush you at the speaker like they have 10 cars in line , but there aren't. Just me. We have Been loyal to this place time after time when they consistently make mistakes on the orders. My wife is allergic to raw tomatoes and I never ask for tomatoes on her sandwich. She either needs a vacation or a new job because her customer service was just non existent. The first time I chocked it up to possibly a bad day ( we all have them). First impressions: The restaurant is shaped like a rectangle so seating arrangements are kind of weird. Counter/Ordering is at the back left corner of the place. Bathrooms are all the way in the back. Ordering: Because it was so packed, an employee was coming out to the line to take orders through a tablet. He was friendly and explained any questions. I ordered the pastrami sandwich on multigrain bread and a cup of broccoli and cheese soup. Food (see photos): Soup was nice and warm, cheesy and had lots of broccoli in it. I'm glad I could see green pieces floating in there. Pastrami Sandwich comes with pickles and mustard (I think) but I added mayo, oil, lettuce, and tomatoes. Verdict: Potbelly makes some tasty sandwiches. Is it healthy? Doubt it. Better than subway, not hard to beat but considering that there's literally only subway in conroe I found that very impressive, and the meat actually tastes real, price is pretty steep though. read more
