Nasty place. On 3/24/22 and at 2:35pm I entered this establishment. I told the employee that I had never been before and he just responded with "ok". Tried to ask questions. No response. After finally navigating their menu and figuring out what was what, we finally paid. As we went to sit down we found that most of the tables were dirty. Food, crumbs and trash on the tables. The 3 employees behind the counter were more interested in talking and laughing amongst themselves to be bothered to do anything else like clean or speak to a paying customer. Although I'd prefer to see nutritious options in Conroe, I welcome any new eats in this food desert. First impressions: The restaurant is shaped like a rectangle so seating arrangements are kind of weird. Counter/Ordering is at the back left corner of the place. Bathrooms are all the way in the back. Ordering: Because it was so packed, an employee was coming out to the line to take orders through a tablet. He was friendly and explained any questions. I ordered the pastrami sandwich on multigrain bread and a cup of broccoli and cheese soup. Food (see photos): Soup was nice and warm, cheesy and had lots of broccoli in it. I'm glad I could see green pieces floating in there. Pastrami Sandwich comes with pickles and mustard (I think) but I added mayo, oil, lettuce, and tomatoes. Verdict: Potbelly makes some tasty sandwiches. Is it healthy? Doubt it. I don't want to know how much sodium I ingested, but it's nice to see this place pop up in a place surrounded by fast food. read more
