This Chicken Express does not deserve to be named as such. In fact they should be named Chicken Slow as F***. I've been in the drive thru multiple times as a family member likes the food. Every time I've been, I've waited for at LEAST 20 mins when the employee at the window tells me it will be roughly a 6-8 min wait. They're not even that busy for the food to be taking that long. They have to be raising the chicken as a chick to a grown adult in the back, butchering it, rinsing each individual organ to rid them of blood, just to finally to batter it and put it in the fryer. No explanation as to why the long waits either, as I'm continuously watching cars behind me get their food first while I'm still parked off to the side. Why are they charging a premium price for this type of chicken?. As I was sitting waiting on my chicken, several customers came in and purchase iced tea. They made a comment that the tea tasted old.. At the end of the shift, all the iced tea is drained from their machine placed in gallon jugs, and served the next day. Men's restroom always dirty and stinky. Recommendations before you purchase any fish from their menu do a detailed research where the fish is coming from. We asked him to come to our table and count what we had, he refused. We asked for a refund. Now we have to wait 3 days to get our refund. The manager needs to learn about customer satisfaction. Let's start at the drive thru...there is a sign up on the initial menu before you order that says they are basically out of every side, almost had me leave but figured I'd ask if that was the case at the intercom. I went to chicken express today for lunch. I ordered the 7 piece spicy chicken tenders and my food tasted cold and old. The tenders were cold, fries, gravy and the roll was dark and dry. I have purchased the same meal on multiple occasions and my food was very fresh and hot. I called the store and spoke to the general manager and she was very rude and obnoxious about the situation, her name is Devin. I said can I get a replacement meal at a different time or date bc I was busy at the moment and would have to go out of my way to return to the establishment and bring my food back to her. She proceeded to tell me NO that I had to return today and bring my food back , claiming company policy. . In other words it was go out of my way to return or suck it up and eat the cold food. I told her that I could take a picture or video chat her , or even return the food at a later date if needed in order to get a replacement meal. She was unprofessional and told me that I was trying to get free food and HUNG up on me. First of all , I don't need "free food" nor do I need to scam an establishment , I simply wanted a fresh batch of food which I paid for . Her staff didn't have gloves on and she was rude with limited professionalism. I will NEVER purchase from that location ever again. Or any other chicken express for that matter, they are not that special in my opinion. There are many ways that management can de -escalate a situation, she made it worse by accusing me of trying to steal a box of $14 tenders smh .She acted like it was a 5 star restaurant or something. Devin, go back to management training 101 and learn how to control your emotions while speaking to a customer. It was a minor issue that could have been resolved more tactfully. It is your responsibility as a manager to represent your company and resolve complaints from customers. Customers come in all forms and will react differently to the same situation. I wanted a fresh meal which I work hard everyday to pay for. As a manager you can make a judgment call to rectify the situation. Customers are the reason you and your staff have jobs. Perhaps if I had a history of trying to exchange my food , then I could understand your response. Ok this is a 4 star for a fast food place not a find finning location. But this place well deserves it. Ordered a variety of items, chicken, chicken livers, 6 different sides between the 4 of us. The chicken was hit, cooked correctly and tasted great. Yes it is fried chicken but crispy snd flavorful and I fid not have to wipe the oil off after each bite. Very tasty. The livers were booked as we ordered them, I go jig eat them but my wife and friend gobbled them up. Sides as bd biscuits were hot and fresh with the gravy bring very good. Chicken Express is one of my favorite places when I have a hankering for chicken strips. They are always hot, fresh and crispy. A 4 piece with a side and a drink cost around $7.00. They also have very large family packs (35-45 pieces) when you are feeding large groups. It is a very inexpensive way to feed a large group of people. I think this location will actually deliver if the order is large enough. Since it is fried food, I try not to eat here too often. Also, I have never had the regular fried chicken, just the strips. I love this place. The chicken is properly seasoned with a perfect crunch. The rolls are amazing. The biscuits are a little to buttery. For some that's not an issue though. :) the best thing is the PRICE. Really good food for a good price! Blows Popeyes out of the water! I use to eat at several Chicken Express awhile back when I lived in Dallas. Back than we really liked their tenders and cream gravy with red pepper packets that spiced it up. The tenders were always moist and tender and there was always enough gravy to enjoy. A recent visit to the Chicken Express in Conroe really let me down. Chicken was fried too hard and was crunchy rather than tender. The small single container of gravy provided to eat a order of 7 tenders was only enough for half the tenders and when asked for more I was charged $1.00 for another small container. They also only have hot sauce pouches and taste like tobacco which ruined the tenders. This place will not be getting my business ever. read more

I am not usually one to complain about businesses or staff and i typically don't leave reviews but i feel this needs to be said. The heavier set woman with blonde hair honestly needs a talking to. me and my grandmother enter the restaurant after my doctors appointment (9 months pregnant) i desperately had to use the restroom but upon entering the bathroom i see feces on the outer bowl of the toilet as well as urine on the rim. i go to my grandmother and explain the situation and she turns to the woman sweeping the lobby and politely ask if anyone can clean the restroom to which the response was "that she was getting to it". my grandmother tries to apologize and explain that i'm heavily pregnant but before she can finish her sentence this woman storms off past her. after going to clean the bathroom (which she did half assed) i notice she did not wear gloves while cleaning and then she serves us our food. and i am not sure if she washed her hands but i feel she should of worn gloves to clean the restroom. she also proceeded to what looks like complain at her co worker in the dining area while tossing her hands around which made for a unsettling atmosphere. and overall just walked around with a major attitude. the place was dead empty by the way. i understand people tend to have bad days but at least be hygienic. and on a last note we were looking forward to our food but as we received it, was obvious it had been sitting out (stale bread) and the chicken was anything but appealing. and the condiment station was empty. this is very saddening to us considering chicken express is one of our favorite places but i am not sure if we will be making a return. read more
