I am not usually one to complain about businesses or staff and i typically don't leave reviews but i feel this needs to be said. The heavier set woman with blonde hair honestly needs a talking to. me and my grandmother enter the restaurant after my doctors appointment (9 months pregnant) i desperately had to use the restroom but upon entering the bathroom i see feces on the outer bowl of the toilet as well as urine on the rim. i go to my grandmother and explain the situation and she turns to the woman sweeping the lobby and politely ask if anyone can clean the restroom to which the response was "that she was getting to it". my grandmother tries to apologize and explain that i'm heavily pregnant but before she can finish her sentence this woman storms off past her. after going to clean the bathroom (which she did half assed) i notice she did not wear gloves while cleaning and then she serves us our food. and i am not sure if she washed her hands but i feel she should of worn gloves to clean the restroom. she also proceeded to what looks like complain at her co worker in the dining area while tossing her hands around which made for a unsettling atmosphere. and overall just walked around with a major attitude. the place was dead empty by the way. i understand people tend to have bad days but at least be hygienic. and on a last note we were looking forward to our food but as we received it, was obvious it had been sitting out (stale bread) and the chicken was anything but appealing. and the condiment station was empty. this is very saddening to us considering chicken express is one of our favorite places but i am not sure if we will be making a return. read more

In drive thru about 3 weeks ago bad service food so so, called next day, manager comped us our meal, we have not had a chance to go back, I went thru drive thru today for a quick bite, customer service still not up to par. They used to be so wonderful, I'm not sure what has happened, not sure I will go back for a while, comped meal or not. read more

I normally really like chicken express but this is the worst one I've ever been too. The food was cold and with no flavor except for old oil. the chicken strips were extra stringy and the Mac and cheese tasted like it had been sitting for hours before we got it. The only decent thing were the fries. read more

Spicy chicken is the best Reason for 3 stars is that they no longer offer corn nuggets which the grandkids really like d We do also Their best item "jalapeño bombers" is not offered anymore either read more

Waited 35 minutes for our food. People in front of us had been there 41 minutes and then asked for a refund. They were only filling drive through orders and the 5 different inside tables just waited. People would come in and no one would wait on them. Very rude. When we finally got our food the chicken was great but the fries were limp and cold. Had to wait another 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter and provide ketchup. Will not return to this location!! read more

I don't like leaving a negative review however this one could not be avoided. The only reason I'm giving a second star is because the food tasted good. The lady was very rude over the intercom and when I attempted to order a half Powerade half water she told me rudely I'm sorry we can't do that. I very odd negative fast food experience. read more

My wife and I walked in on a Sunday around 6pm. We were promptly greeted and spoken to by the employee taking orders. The manager who was also around (which is always nice seeing a manager getting involved) also greeted us and asked us how we were doing. My wife ordered went ahead and placed her order, I took a little more time and apologized for taking time and the employee very friendly told me it was okay and there wasn't a rush. After we ordered our food, we got our drinks, and wow their sweet tea is amazing southern SWEET tea. The drink station and the entire restaurant was spotless very clean. The food came really quickly and smelled amazing. The tenders tasted so much better than what I've tried other places such as Raisin Canes, Zaxby's, or even Popeyes. The sides were what you would expect nothing to write home about but didn't take away from the food. It was great food, great sweet tea, and great employees. read more

They've had chicken available approximately 50% of the times I've come through. It's great chicken, but it's always "it'll be 30 minutes". Call ahead. read more

Didn't even want to give them one star. I went last week. Litterally 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me at the counter. The same girl that finally acknowledged me after she looked directly at me several times asked me if I was eating here or to go. I said here. She then walks completely off. Then another girl comes to the register looks at the screen and says "ok is that it" and I replied " no I have not even placed my order". She says oh I don't even know what's going on , now what can I get you. So I give her my order. I ordered 3 wings and mashed potatoes and gravy.. it came out and something told me not to eat it.... I eat the food. Leave and not 30 minutes later Food poisoning symptoms kick in! Do not eat here I tell you. Poor food and the worst service ever! Never ever again will I step foot in this establishment! read more

I love the corn nuggets! For a fast food chicken place it's pretty good. The chicken is better quality than I expected. The workers that I've talked to spoke English ( unlike some other fast food places). read more

I went here with no real expectations. It's fast food. However, their chicken tenders were excellent. Hot, juicy, crispy, and well seasoned. Excellent rolls and good mashed potatoes. They have a large variety of sides. Even the hot sauce was above average. Restaurant was clean, staff was very polite. They are doing a great job here. I would definitely recommend. read more

Had a taste for some really good chicken. I ordered 2 pc breast and wing with fries. Received my food and to my surprise my chicken was not even warm let alone hot. It was a 6:00p.m.really. I informed staff that I would like hot chicken and was told it would be 25 minutes. I can cook chicken at my house in 20. Is the grease NOT HOT?? Wow!! I will not be back thats for sure. Why is it that this place has 2 pans of cold chicken piled high. No one likes cold chicken. Your suppose to serve it Hot at least pretty darn warm. Staff was nice I was given my refund went to KFC right down the street. Hot chicken as usual read more

We used to really enjoy this but the last 2 times were not good. We previously ordered gizzards and they were so hard, they were completely unedible. Tonight, we ordered an 8 piecemeal. We got 1 breast, 1 leg, 1 thigh, and the rest were wings. Old dry wings at that. We got a 6 peice hot wing - they were good but they were made to order. $28.00. Called to let them know and all they said was that's what an 8 piece is. So warning, don't order an 8 piece and expect dinner for the family. As for us, we will go elsewhere! read more

Always a good place to eat. It's not fancy restaurant, but the food is always great. Probably my favorite place for chicken tenders.

I have never been to a chicken express where there was just one customer in front of you and it's 6 30 and there's a 20 min wait on chicken people are steadily leaving and it's taking for ever just for my tea read more

Stopped in at the new Chicken Express in CONROE on opening day. Never dined at one of these before so this was my first experience. It was an impeccable first impression. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. The owners are brother-in-laws and they both were out in the dining area visiting with the customers. We visited with Trey, one of the owners, and he was a very nice guy. I was impressed by their hospitality and desire to get to know their customers. They are family men who want to serve and be involved in the community. They were well staffed, were quick to serve us and the food was ready quick. No waiting. Every staff member had a smile and were continually checking in with the customers to make sure their experience was a good one. If you needed a refill, ketchup, seasoning, plasticware, etc, they were there to serve you. Very polite and nice. The facility is brand new and very clean. The food was very good and they had menu items for every appetite and budget. Besides the chicken, the rolls and cookies were my favorite! read more

The place is brand new, I decided to check it out. I got there at about 11:30 on a Saturday and went inside, the dining room was empty, but there was a car in the drive thru. I was standing in front of the 2 registers they have, all employees were in the back doing their thing and I was looking at their menu. I found what I was going to have and waited for someone to acknowledge my presence and ask how they could help me... 6 minutes and no one ever said hi, hello...nothing, So I left stopping by the drive thru to let them know how disappointed I was. Sad, I hope the get some training in customer service... or they won't make it. read more

Chicken Express just beat out Popeyes as my favorite fried chicken fast food place. Good size pieces with excellent crunchy crust. Lots of different sides to chose too. Excellent French Fries! Courteous staff! Only con is it is not as close to home as Popeyes but the drive just might be worth it! read more

This is my favorite fast food chain for chicken! There sides, chicken and sweet Tea taste the closes to homemade for me!

Ordered my food and the 4 people behind me all got their food first. After 10 minutes I went to the counter to check on my order and they said "oh, they are cooking it right now." Maybe inform your customers so that they don't think you forgot about them. Also, the chicken wings are burnt to a crisp! And the Mac and cheese is bland. I do not recommend this place. read more

We LOVE Chicken Express! One of my Granddaughters made me a summer wish list and it was to eat as much chicken express as possible! Chicken Express - Fast Food Near Me - Conroe, Texas

I stopped in today for the Wednesday special and I had to wait 20 minutes for chicken. As I drove off and my daughter went thru the bag we was missing an item so I had to turn around and go back. The guy politely came out to my car and apologized but I was thinking how could you guys make a mistake when I had to sit and wait 20 minutes for chicken read more

I went to the new location in Conroe off of 336, at 5:00 pm when I got off work. Went thru the drive, I ordered a 16 piece family meal. I was asked what 3 sides I wanted and I told them. They told me to hold on, she comes back and tells me they don't have any sides. It'll be a 20 minute wait. I just drove off, as I was pulling out 3 cars were turning in. I hope they had better luck than me. I think their manager is doing a poor job, will this place last?? I know I'm not going back!! read more

Exactly what you want from a chicken joint. Great food, awesome sweet tea, fried okra and corn nuggets.

We love the food but I just left for the 2nd time this month because of a 20min wait for chicken. Only 2 other people ahead of me both times. This place only sells chicken so how could they not have chicken? The answer is poor management and that will close a good restaurant quickly! This trip the girl taking the drive thru order was just flat rude which did not help matters any. When I asked "may I get a 12 piece family meal" her reply was just "no" and silence. I then had to asked what no meant and she sighed and started yelling to someone in the background asking how long it would be. read more

They have really good chicken and sides if you are lucky and get it fresh. I have stopped there about 10 times only to get a good meal about 3 times. The problem is they cook too much ahead of orders it sets under heat lamps and get rubbery and dried out. The fries are cold and dry. If they would fix this and serve hot juicy chicken and fresh fries it would be great read more

My first time at this place, got home to eat and there was a died fly in my food. Manager was rude as hell when i called to talk to them. Dave told me a paying customer that hewas really busy. Wrong thing to say. I will never ever ever go back to this place, even if its the last place to eat. read more

Great food and service the other day. However much too salty for my diet. I will be back when I can afford all the salt.

How is there at 15 minute wait for chicken when it's all you have?! Please don't tell people it's gonna be a 5 minute wait when it's not. Get it together. read more

The staff was fast and friendly. The guy in the car in front of me was being extremely rude (yelling and cursing) to the girls inside, because they dropped his card on the floor, after they gave him his card back, he refused to pay for his food and continued to curse at the staff. They all handled him very well and they were very apologetic to my mom and I for having to listen to all of his crap. read more
