Service - this is a counterordering place.Generally, everyone is pretty helpful and friendly.And i've never had any issues with anyone. Atmosphere- there's not much I can really say about the place except that it's clean.It doesn't necessarily have a whole lot of atmosphere because it is a chain restaurant. Food - food is good.It is very burger and hot dog focused.I honestly can't think of much more on the menu, and of course they turn a few of those into salads, but expect that this is one hundred percent all about the burger. Why 4 stars? Because this is elevated fast food. --- --- --- I'm not sure what used to be in this space before Hippo took it over, but it was clearly a fast food spot. The quality of the food is certainly above anything you'll find from a typical McDonald's/Wendy's/BK/etc. But I would say it doesn't quite reach the heights of a trendy burger spot. What I like is that they have a ton of options, both for burgers (I think there were 12-13 choices), as well as several different types of fries, onion rings, tator tots, etc. If you're craving it, they have it. I opted for the agua fresca for my drink, and these were basically just pure liquid sugar. I could only handle so much before I switched to something else. I'd pop in here again if I were craving a quick burger fix. Next time, I will certain grab a nutella shake. read more

My daughter wanted a good burger, coming from overseas. I suggested she try Hippo Burgers. I got the Mexican ? burger; she got the avocado burger. They were both excellent. Daughter says when she wants a good burger again, Hippo Burgers will be THE ONLY place she goes and will recommend to friends. She loved it that much. The garlic fries have fresh chopped garlic on them not just garlic salt. They were amazingly delicious. First time trying their drinks, they were sweet but the fruit flavors offered are really good. *One complaint: Got an extra cheesy grilled cheese sandwich for my grand, that had way too much cheese on it for a toddler and it should be wrapped in other than paper, it didn't unwrap well at all bc the paper stuck to the sandwich. He re-rang the total & we paid. My husband gave him a nice tip & he seemed surprised. My husband told him it was because he was honest about his mistake & made it right. Now the food!! Very good burger. $14.99 for a burger combo with fries and a drink. This place is up there with Five Guys. Quality ingredients, prepared nicely and a very clean restaurant. They also have salads that look good in the photo. Two things I don't like is Pepsi products and they ask for a tip but not is provided for service other than they bring it to the table. Tried Hippo for the first time today and the cheeseburger was outstanding. All the ingredients tasted fresh and the burger was well seasoned. This is not a lacy, thin smash burger, but a thick, meaty half-pounder. Fries were crispy and hot. My wife had onion rings and they were great as well.
