Absolute Health Hazard - Served Someone Else's Car Food I ordered dine-in here around 1:00 PM on Father's Day (Order #0052: patty melt, onion rings, sweet potato fries, and a hot dog). While the staff wasn't outwardly rude, the blatant disregard for basic food safety and hygiene was shocking. The cashier accidentally rang my order up as "to-go" instead of "for here." Honest mistake, no big deal. However, they accidentally handed my order to another couple who was picking up a to-go order. That couple walked completely out of the restaurant, took my food into their personal vehicle, and sat in their car with it. The employee realized the mistake, ran out to the parking lot, and retrieved the food from their car. Instead of remaking my meal from scratch, the staff brought the food back into the kitchen, replated it, and served it to my girlfriend and me. This is an absolute health code violation. Once food leaves the building and enters a stranger's vehicle, it is contaminated. We have no idea what happened to that food inside their car. To make matters worse, because it had been sitting in steam-trapped to-go boxes in someone else's car, the sweet potato fries and onion rings were completely soggy when they finally got to our table. Serving contaminated, poorly handled food just to avoid the cost of remaking an order is disgusting and unacceptable. We will not be returning. read more

I asked about the catfish being authentic and indeed it is not. Places selling catfish should really disclose if it is catfish or Swai. I was served Swai. The hush puppies served on the platter was more than done. See the picture. The food runner switched the burgers up and did not give them to the correct person. We arrived at 8:45 and they told us they close at 9:00pm. The door had Friday and Saturday hours deleted. Yelp says it closes at 10:00pm on Fridays. The cashier's attitude was terrible, had a smile on her face but the look of annoyance. She said the kitchen closes at 9:00pm so we quickly ordered. It took about 20 minutes for the food to be ready and all that time they were cleaning around us. They were using a nasty smelling mop next to us, we ate with the smell of dirty restrooms because of that mop, picking up chairs and just mad that we were still there. Food was not that great either. Drove by and noticed it on my way to my Air BnB. I was greeted with smiles. David suggested their Philly cheese steak as one of the best. Kitschy decor reminiscent to the 1950's. Ordered at the counter and they bring the order to the table. My daughter and I decided to split a burger and ordered sweet potato fries and deep fried mushrooms. I was pleased and impressed that they took the time to split our order in the kitchen before they brought it to the table. I always forget about this place, probably haven't eaten here in about 15 years. Saw a Facebook post that they may have to close due to lack of business so me and my family came in. I don't want to see a small business that's been serving the community for so long go away. It's not very far off of the interstate and a strip center, which is probably why it gets missed a lot. Everything was cooked fresh and delicious, I recommend getting the jalapeño sourdough bun instead of the regular bun and also the brisket eggrolls. I love the 1960's diner theme of this local restaurant. For a burger spot I was surprised they served breakfast. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with an addition of sausage. The order was brought to the table and I planned to salt and pepper it up which is typical for restaurant white gravy. I took a bite and realized this was not necessary. It had excellent flavor and the sausage I added was delicious. The manager came by my the table and let me know that all ingredients are served fresh, nothing is frozen.
