More than ham, this Conroe hangout featured massive home cooked burgers, customized as you order with choice of bread and a variety of add ins. I overshot ordering a double that was well beyond my capacity to eat in one sitting. These burgers are the real deal. Sides are pretty awesome too, battered onion rings arrive hot and crunchy. The two ladies working the front of the house are personable and efficient. Beware this restaurant looks more like a specialty ham store and less attractive than the Culver's sharing the same parking lot. That being said, if you want a real juicy, hot burger with all the flavor and no money wasted on facilities, head here instead. Your tummy will thank you!

This place is the bomb! The food is excellent and the staff are friendly! You can't find a good sandwich place anywhere, especially one that has more meat than bread and veggies!

WOW what a deal!! 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks for $9.99?! And the burgers are fantastic! The seasoned fries are fresh and just as good as the burger! On the negative side, the tea is not so good. One of those tea machines.. not so good. I wish restaurants would go back to brewing fresh tea... but the food quality makes up for it. My recommendation, stop by QT to get your tea, and come here for your food!

2 burgers 2 sides and 2 drinks priced at $29. I'd say ok on value. The burger itself was ok, not as spectacular as its made out to be. My real issue and reason for leaving this review is the macaroni. Why offer something that's below standard? People pay earned money for quality, not this :)

Best ham sandwich in TX. Get it grilled. White bread. If you like ham you need to make a trip to this Conroe restaurant. Never disappoints.

Great food, especially great burger! Menus on yelp are dated with old prices. No longer serve ham salad. Here are updated menu/prices.

Wouldn't ever normally walk in here but someone told us they were really good so we went. We got the double burger basket and a milk shake. We also got the kids grilled cheese. It was a good burger but nothing special.. but over all a decent little place

Jason picked up dinner for all of us, and somehow the wait time was basically nonexistent, but everything still tasted like it had just come straight off the grill. By the time he made it home (less than 2 miles), everything was still hot, fresh, and exactly how we ordered it--which is no small thing in this house because every single one of us had some kind of "take this off, add this, don't even think about that" request. And they nailed every single one perfectly. Braeden went with the Giant Burger (their biggest one), and even he said it was enough food--which says everything. Jason got the bacon version of that same burger, and it disappeared fast enough that I didn't even need to ask how it was. Bri had the kids cheeseburger with pickles, and I kept mine simple with just meat, cheese, and mayo, and the flavor across the board was the real standout--juicy, satisfying, and the kind of burger that makes you pause mid-bite because it's just that good. The fries were the only thing that didn't quite match the energy (a little bland, like they forgot the salt), but honestly, the burgers carried the whole meal without breaking a sweat. Fast, accurate, flavorful, and dangerously close to home--we will absolutely be back.

The chili cheese tots were just completely drowned in cheese barley chili, it was barely edible & I eat ANYTHING except for asparagus. Absolute Health Hazard - Served Someone Else's Car Food I…read moreordered dine-in here around 1:00 PM on Father's Day (Order #0052: patty melt, onion rings, sweet potato fries, and a hot dog). While the staff wasn't outwardly rude, the blatant disregard for basic food safety and hygiene was shocking. The cashier accidentally rang my order up as "to-go" instead of "for here." Honest mistake, no big deal. However, they accidentally handed my order to another couple who was picking up a to-go order. That couple walked completely out of the restaurant, took my food into their personal vehicle, and sat in their car with it. The employee realized the mistake, ran out to the parking lot, and retrieved the food from their car. Instead of remaking my meal from scratch, the staff brought the food back into the kitchen, replated it, and served it to my girlfriend and me. This is an absolute health code violation. Once food leaves the building and enters a stranger's vehicle, it is contaminated. We have no idea what happened to that food inside their car. To make matters worse, because it had been sitting in steam-trapped to-go boxes in someone else's car, the sweet potato fries and onion rings were completely soggy when they finally got to our table. Serving contaminated, poorly handled food just to avoid the cost of remaking an order is disgusting and unacceptable. We will not be returning.

I've had…read morethis place on my radar for awhile as I am a huge fan of visiting breweries everywhere I go. Come to find out days before our trip that Southern Star has decided to shut down at the end of June. Sad to see one of Texas' oldest breweries closing down. I had to get here before they did because their beers are great. It's right off 45 and easy to find tucked away off a side road. The grounds are beautiful as well as the building itself. The inside taproom isn't large but the building itself is so I'm wondering they have more hangout spaces. They also have a nice deck where a lot of people were hanging out. Customer service was great. Most everyone in our crew got a flight so we could try a few things. Prices here are excellent and won't break the bank. That's what I love most about breweries. I went with the Strawberry Blonde, Southern Brunch (citrus shandy), Texas Lager, and Pit Stop (cherry cider). I really enjoyed them all especially the Southern Brunch. My friends ordered some apps for the table such as fried pickles, fried mushrooms and waffle fries. They came out piping hot and were all tasty. I saw some pizzas leaving the kitchen and they looked excellent. They also had deals on whole cases of beer for 20 bucks. Killer deal that my friend took advantage of. Sad to see this place is closing. Great breweries are a dying breed from what I have read. If these places weren't so far I would support them more. I wish everyone in the company well and hopefully see them come back in the future.

These were two really good beers. After that, the other options were not as appealing or tasty. Little disappointed that they only had a limited amount of beer on tap but really enjoyed the upstairs section of the brewery. Nice views outside. The beer tenders were not the friendliest of people and really expected more out of them for a weekday afternoon. Overall, a good experience and worth stopping in to see what they have to offer

It normally comes with their house sauce, but I added the house‑made ranch since people on Google were raving about it. If you choose any heat level, it defaults to Nashville style breading; Coop's Classic is reserved for kids meals or no‑heat tenders. They asked if I wanted to swap the fries for something else. I asked what counted as an even exchange, and the only option was coleslaw--which the Double Clucker already comes with--so that made no sense whatsoever. I stuck with the fries. Oddly, the meal doesn't include a drink, so I added an Oreo milkshake since that also had good reviews. The staff was very friendly, and the milkshake came out first and fast. They served it to my table in the empty dining room. Flavor was fine, but it didn't come with the cherry shown in the photos and included in the menu description. Worse yet, it was extremely watery--super runny, not cold, and definitely not "Frosty" as advertised. See my videos. Big disappointment. When the food arrived, the tender itself was great--moist and flavorful. The mild heat level barely registered for me, but the ranch dip was better than the house sauce dip. The coleslaw didn't do it for me. It lacked flavor, and the cabbage pieces were cut way too large. Lastly, the fries. Oh boy. Not refrigerator cold, but definitely cool. Not warm, not hot--just... cool. And ack. Overall, I can only recommend the tenders. They do sell them à la carte for $4 and change, and those are the only thing worth getting that I tried. The sides and the milkshake were just a huge letdown.
