This is a great example of how a chain installation should be run. The place is clean, inviting, and smells great. The people working there couldn't be nicer. And the food is as fresh and well prepared as you could ever hope for. So why not 5 stars? I just didn't love it. The cheese steak is loaded with pickles, which I did approve when ordering since that's their thing, but I don't think they really work with the basic cheese steak flavors. The meat was a tad dry but pretty much what you get with a cheese steak. And the Cajun fries, requested crisp, came crisp, but they're basically just French fries with a heavy dusting of Cajun seasoning. As much as I loved the decor, the vibe, and the service, I'm just not a fan of the basic recipes for these core dishes. One notable exception: the fresh strawberry lemonade was outstanding - one of the best tasting drinks I've had in a long time. I might come back just for that.

Charleys is a cheesesteak and wings restaurant, generally you find them in malls or other places like Walmart, this one just opened on the 336 south loop and we decided to swing by to see if the local version matched what we find in the malls, however we were disappointed. The winds cost about $1.50 per wing when you break down the price, in addition they were undercooked, still basically pink on the inside, they didn't leave them in the fryer long enough to be edible. The cheese steaks themself looked great, but the taste, they were very bland without flavor, zero seasoning, unfortunately they were utterly lacking in flavor as far as cheese steaks go. The French fries were good, thick and long, properly salted, but that was the only actual food worth eating. The restaurant itself is clean with a decent amount of seating based on the size of the restaurant. Since it's opening day, they have a lot of staff and a few managers on site, ultimately they will change that down to maybe 3 or 4 on site at any time based on the amount of traffic that typically visits this strip center. Maybe if they cook the wings better, then I can at least recommend that, but I can't recommend their cheese steak at all, simply not worth it.

Their website version of what my Philly Cheesesteak should look like. Hmmm.

I was craving some comfort food after visiting the hospital nearby for over a week. Someone gave a good mention of this place on a Facebook foodie group and a Philly Cheesesteak & some fries sounded so good. The location is new and easy to find. I visited on a Thursday at 3:30pm. It was empty; except for the crowd of workers in the prep area. I am guessing they were in training. The place is very clean and has ample seating for a small crowd. The front counter had too much stuff on it. I wasn't sure where to stand to order and to look at all that stuff made it confusing... If the place were busy, I could see this causing a back up because it's was hard to tell what was there for the customer and what was for the counter workers. The counter girl was Estrada and she was friendly. The order came out very fast... Almost too fast. My To-Go order was the Large Philly Cheesesteak all the way. (Grilled onions, mushrooms & green peppers topped with provolone cheese), I asked for the lettuce, tomato & pickle on the side and an order of fries with a side of ranch dressing. The steak was as a previous reviewer stated. Bland, a little dry and needed some seasoning. There were FOUR slivers of green peppers (mostly in one area) and about 3-4 slivers of crunchy onion - never saw a mushroom. I had to look at my own pictures to see if there were (I saw 2 or 3?), as I couldn't taste any nor find any when I picked the sandwich apart. There was cheese on only 2/3 of the sandwich. The pickles were put on the bread, not side as requested, which made the bread soggy. The French fries were tasty and seasoned well. They forgot the ranch dressing. I understand being new takes a little time to get acclimated; however - I was the only one in there when I ordered and my order did not even closely resemble the picture with the ingredients. A Philly is not a Philly without the grilled veggies and cheese! If this is what we can expect for $16.22, then I don't think it will last very long. I was really disappointed.

It normally comes with their house sauce, but I added the house‑made ranch since people on Google were raving about it. If you choose any heat level, it defaults to Nashville style breading; Coop's Classic is reserved for kids meals or no‑heat tenders. They asked if I wanted to swap the fries for something else. I asked what counted as an even exchange, and the only option was coleslaw--which the Double Clucker already comes with--so that made no sense whatsoever. I stuck with the fries. Oddly, the meal doesn't include a drink, so I added an Oreo milkshake since that also had good reviews. The staff was very friendly, and the milkshake came out first and fast. They served it to my table in the empty dining room. Flavor was fine, but it didn't come with the cherry shown in the photos and included in the menu description. Worse yet, it was extremely watery--super runny, not cold, and definitely not "Frosty" as advertised. See my videos. Big disappointment. When the food arrived, the tender itself was great--moist and flavorful. The mild heat level barely registered for me, but the ranch dip was better than the house sauce dip. The coleslaw didn't do it for me. It lacked flavor, and the cabbage pieces were cut way too large. Lastly, the fries. Oh boy. Not refrigerator cold, but definitely cool. Not warm, not hot--just... cool. And ack. Overall, I can only recommend the tenders. They do sell them à la carte for $4 and change, and those are the only thing worth getting that I tried. The sides and the milkshake were just a huge letdown.

There were about 2 others patrons eating when we entered, and no wait to order. We ordered tender combo with fries and mac n cheese. In addition, we ordered the Cluck Norris fries. All items were fresh and flavorful. They are very similar to other reputable hot chicken establishments. Overall it was a good experience!

UPDATE - lowering this to one star because both my wife and I got sick last night on this stuff!…read more So I walked into the restaurant thinking I'm going to get som amazing Asian food....as I entered the heat of the inside hit me - it was easily 78 degrees. That should've been my first sign when I walked in. It was hotter inside than it was outside. I picked up the menu looked at it for a hot second and then thought well. I'll just order something. So naturally, I said pad Thai, standard Asian meal. Not at this place they didn't have it and she looked at me strange. So I proceeded to look at the menu and found some random dish that looked decent and ordered. Then I ordered drinks and she told us after we had paid the soda had no carbonation in the machine so we could get the drinks out of the fridge. So we went and got the drinks out of the fridge, sat down open them up they both were flat. I suspect if I had checked the dates they were both expired, but I didn't bother. So we sat down and literally one minute later, the food came out... Which tells me that all the food was likely premade, and this was just a buffet that was hidden in the back. I ate, and it was well.... Let's just say the Woodlands Mall Asian foods a bit better than this stuff. Anyhow, I did encourage the team who works here to turn the AC down a little bit, make sure the fridge doesn't have expired drinks/flat drinks, make the food like they serve it to their family. I'll report back shortly and let you know if there are any biological effects of this food... All that for $45 - two dishes, two flat drinks, two rice.

We had a group of 10 on a Thursday evening and were the only customers on the patio for most of our visit. I want to make it clear that our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, hardworking, and did her best despite being repeatedly let down by the kitchen and management. Several orders were prepared incorrectly. A steak ordered "as rare as possible" arrived medium-well. It was remade, but still was not cooked as requested. My catfish platter was strangely lukewarm, while another guest described her catfish as rubbery. An order of fish and chips arrived without the chips. A pizza ordered with bacon, pepperoni, and onions came with grilled onions that were not requested, and the bacon smelled and tasted off. Another guest ordered loaded potatoes as her entire meal. Without warning, she was charged $8 for what was described as a double portion, even though she never requested a double order. What arrived appeared to be approximately one cup of roasted potatoes and did not look like a double serving or a complete meal. When we asked to speak with a manager, Andi told us that she had to answer to the kitchen manager and could not address the charge. She then said she was busy and walked away without offering a solution. When I attempted to explain the problems from this visit and the previous week, I was told that the owner, Teek, is usually at the newest location except on Tuesdays, is difficult for the staff to reach, and that I would need to find him myself rather than having management take my contact information and request that he call me. Restaurants make mistakes, but repeated incorrect orders, questionable food quality, missing items, unexplained charges, and dismissive management are not a single mistake. They are a pattern. Our waitress deserved much better support, and our group deserved food prepared as ordered and concerns handled professionally. After two bad experiences in a row, Pacific Yard House has permanently lost our business.
