Chettinad curry chicken, garlic mushroom soup, and garlic naan
    David Y.

Ruchi's is a small restaurant in a strip mall on Clay Road. You can't miss it because of the LED signs in the window. I decided to try something new during my visit to Ruchi's: Chettinad curry chicken. It was quite good. Definitely a different spice profile than what I'd had before, but I'm glad I tried it! My wife ordered the garlic mushroom soup, and we both had garlic naan. Great food, quick service, and friendly staff! Will definitely go back.

I got the goat saag curry as well as the paratha. Both were delicious and I plan to be back! Definitely feeds 2- I came alone to get some work done since I was in the area and the staff is very friendly. The paratha was large and flaky and fresh. The saag had a good amount of goat.

My favorite sport: trying new Indian restaurants!!! This place is located in a strip mall in an area I've never been to before. The inside is nice and casual. We ordered a mango lassi and a vegetable dosa. The lassi was smooth and creamy and the dosa has a crispy shell and delicious filling with all the accompanying dipping sauces. We ordered butter and garlic naan, butter chicken, lamb korma and goat biryani. The naan was flaky and flavorful! The butter chicken and lamb korma were flavorful and fragrant. The goat biryani was bursting with flavor and had generous amounts of goat throughout. We finished our meal with a gulab jamun that was warm sweet. The ras malai tasted very spongy and you could tell it was previously frozen Overall great place!

Yum yum savory and such beautiful vibe! Saw on tiktok and added to my list of places to try and NO REGRETS! from start to end everything was amazing! Ordered a lot of food because I wanted to try it all but definitely trying other dishes on our next visit! Ofcourse I ordered the mango drink!! Mango lassi, so creamy and so tasty!! Can't go wrong with mango but the way it's prepared is just wow!!! You got to ask for the masala dosa!!! The potato filling is just so creamy and savory!! The exterior like a crepe is buttery/sweet but not too sweet!! And the dip sauces are a good addition. Spicy, creamy and savory!! Dip dip dip in each sauce and combine them!! The lamb fried biryani, medium spice level is perfect! Not spicy to where you can't enjoy! Enough for that kick and enjoyment in every bite!! Lamb was soft and delicious!!! With the rice omg can't go wrong!!! Malai kabab is the red chicken and let me tel you is not dry!! The sauce Im that is marinated with is a good and thick and savory sauce!!! We combined it with the garlic buttery naan!! Wanted to get dessert but omg we are full and have lots of left overs for tomorrow!!! Customer service is great!! Beautiful welcoming home feeling and positive vibe!! Owner is very sweet and makes you feel like family! We did come on the 1 year anniversary which we didn't know and we were given a beautiful gift "gratitude " Loved every moment and enjoyed every bite!! And every sip of that delicious mango drink!!!

I love Indian cuisine just like i love my own Mexican food. There's sublte similarities in textures and how the food is prepared. I loved it. Lamb in Butter suace is my go to here but I will be trying everything else. Attentive friendly Service! And amazing food. The Garlic butter nan is perfect with the buttersauce!!

Mutter paneer and Ruchis mango chicken curry

I thought overall the food was good but it was a little on the pricier side for the ambiance. I ordered the mutter paneer and my boyfriend had the mango chicken curry. We both had medium spice level but the mango curry seemed a lot spicier, possibly because it's not tempered down by any cream. I did enjoy my dish a lot but neither of us was a big fan of the mango curry. I will say the chicken in it was very tender though. We also had the samosas and those were great, including the accompanying sauces. The garlic naan had really great buttery garlic flavor but it was on the crispier side instead of soft and fluffy. They had complimentary bottled water instead of from the tap. The meal was about $50 with tip, which I think is on the pricier side for casual Indian. However it's so close to me I will surely come back. Also I got two meals out of the mutter paneer so

Don't expect fancy but do expect good food. Don't need ambiance when it's tasty especially for the area it's in. Samosas were fresh and crispy. Say panner was creamy delishouness. The Andra curry was something new to me but medium had just the right amount of heat and hit the spot. The mango lassi was a welcome cool down with that heat. Very nice staff. Not a huge fan of the bottles water since I felt awkward asking for more and you will def need more if you increase spice levels.

I've always passed by this spot so I thought I'd give it try and I am pleased to say that I will be going here from now on when I am craving Indian food. This is a family-run restaurant and at first, I was worried that not many people come here since it's tucked away but during my dinner, I was happy to see many people came by for pick-up orders and a decent number of customers came to sit down to eat. The restaurant is decorated nicely inside and can seat a decent number of people. My friend and I ended up getting the chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and coconut ice cream for dessert. The chicken biryani's portion is generous! The chicken was a tad bit dry but the flavors were all there and went very well with the two sauces that came with. As for the chicken tikka masala, the presentation was well put together and it was absolutely delicious! But what really impressed me was the garlic naan. The initial bite was nice and crispy and is followed by a nice warm soft/doughy texture. And with the garlic and cilantro on top paired with the curry, I was blown away. The coconut ice cream was a great way to end the delicious meal. It was creamy/rich and I loved the dried rose petal and crushed pistachios on top. Just a heads up, they serve bottled water but it was no charge (though I'm not sure if it would have been extra if I wanted more). The service was welcoming and relatively fast which was great. Overall, I'm very happy to have finally tried this local spot and am looking forward to coming back.

Chettinad Curry Chicken: Delicious and one of the spicer curries I've had! Generous portion of chicken. The garlic naan and rice were solid as well. Not pictured here but I had to get a mango lassi since my dish was so spicy and it was great! Sweet, creamy and refreshing!

FANTASTIC Indian food yall! I usually go to Bombay Brasserie off 610 bc it's close to my office and this place has easily become our new favorite. And it's BYOB. You will not be disappointed. Service was top tier!

This place is great! Food has a well balanced spice and not over powering. Cute little shop well decorated and clean. We had the Vindalo Chicken and Masala Dosa. So not sure if this should be an expectation, but there was no explanation of the menu or even what I ordered. The Masala Dosa came with a tomato dip, a coconut dip and it was cold, I don't know if it's suppose to be. It had a side of lentil soup and that was lukewarm as was the potato inside the crepe. We are coming back but I am going to have bring a friend to help explain what I am ordering.

When we went here 90% of the customer base seemed south asian which is a great sign. They have dessert as well. There was a long line for food and limited space but I can't dock them for that. We were seated upstairs which was a little cumbersome due to having to carry plates up and down but it was fine. My SO who has a low spice tolerance definitely had a little bit of trouble with some dishes, but I definitely loved the spice. The weekend buffet apparently is more expensive but they said they have shrimp and fish options on the buffet line so we would like to try that too. Great experience here.

Pros -There were a lot of vegetarian options that taste good. I actually thought the vegetarian choices tastes better than non-veg. My favorite veg dish was the mushroom masala fry, and my favorite non-veg was the Virudhu Nagar Chicken Pakora. -We got seated upstairs and although it's a lot of going up and downstairs to get food, I thought it was nice to be seated upstairs near the entrance so we got to see the whole restaurant. The buffet area looks impressive. I liked this portion of the restaurant but do feel that space is limited especially with large parties. -Staff were all very nice and helpful. -There was a dosa station. I didn't get to try because I was just so full! Cons -We went during lunchtime and although we didn't have to wait for a table, it was crowded at the buffet area when getting food, and at times people take a longer time getting food. -The non-veg was a bit disappointing as the taste was a bit bland, especially the curry types which should be bursting with flavors. -They offered a special fish dish but it has bones which I don't prefer. -They did not have my favorite puri when we were there! No Indian buffet restaurant should ever run out of puri or not offer! -There was mango ice cream and a variety of other desserts!

This was my second time at Musaafr, and it honestly reinforced why I wanted to come back in the…read morefirst place. On my last visit, I had the Lychee Ceviche, Barrah Kebab, Mushroom Khichdi (highly recommend), Dal Musaafar (also a must-order), Laal Maas, Lamb Chop Sulfiyan Biryani, and Brussel Sprouts -- so I already had a strong impression of how layered and ambitious the menu could be coming into this meal. This time around, the experience felt even more intentional -- not just in individual dishes, but in how everything was meant to be combined. The Paani Puri was easily the most fun dish of the night. Each puri came filled with spiced potato and chickpeas, paired with a lineup of flavored waters -- Yogurt Chili, Passion Fruit, Guava, Mango, and Traditional Tamarind. We ended up tasting the waters individually first, then building our own combinations. The tamarind was smoky and nostalgic, while the guava leaned especially exotic, and the passion fruit came in as a close second with its bright tropical notes. I also tried mixing the traditional tamarind with mango, which oddly created a more Hispanic-leaning flavor profile -- sweet, tangy, and super familiar in a completely different way. The passion fruit + guava combination ended up being my favorite overall. It was so light, refreshing, and interactive that we immediately ordered another round. Mithu's Coriander Shrimp was my favorite savory dish of the night. The shrimp sat in a coconut-based curry that had this mellow, toasted depth that reminded me a lot of Vietnamese chicken curry -- warm, aromatic, and comforting without being heavy. The bread soaked up the sauce perfectly, but what really made this dish stand out was how well it paired with everything else. When combined with the Chicken Tandoori Kulcha and its butters, it genuinely elevated both dishes and created one of the best bites of the entire meal. The Chicken Tandoori Kulcha came stuffed with spiced chicken and served with Kashmiri butter and fenugreek butter. On its own, it was already a buttery flavor bomb -- rich, slightly spicy, and incredibly aromatic. The Kashmiri butter brought warmth and heat, while the fenugreek butter added a refreshing, almost yogurt-like herbal note. But the real move was layering the coriander shrimp curry onto the kulcha -- that combination balanced the spice and added depth, making the dish significantly better. The Malwani Fish Curry featured unbelievably tender sea bass -- I compared it to silken tofu, almost like the filet mignon of fish. The curry itself was coconut-based with kokum, which gave it a citrusy, slightly sour edge. While I appreciated how regional and complex it felt, it leaned a bit too citrus-forward for my personal taste when eaten alone. That said, it completely transformed when mixed with rice or the biryani -- creating this incredibly cohesive, flavorful bowl that balanced everything out. The Jackfruit Kolkota Biryani was one of the dishes I was most curious about, and it delivered in a really interesting way. The jackfruit had a texture surprisingly close to meat -- similar to chicken or pork but softer -- and absorbed the spices incredibly well. The rice itself was extremely aromatic, layered with saffron, rose, and warm spices. Like many dishes here, it really shone when combined with the fish curry or dal, which added richness to the overall dish. The Daal Musaafar continues to be one of the most reliable standouts here. It's a 72-hour slow-cooked black lentil dish that comes out incredibly creamy, buttery, and rich. This time, it felt slightly saltier and a bit less creamy than I remembered, but once mixed, it balanced out nicely. It's still one of those dishes I would come back for on its own -- comforting, indulgent, and consistently one of the best things on the menu. The Nimbu Naan was thinner than the bullet naan I had on my previous visit, but that actually worked in its favor. The lemony brightness cut through the richness of the meal and made it the perfect supporting piece for soaking up dal, curry, and biryani. It added a refreshing contrast rather than just being a filler carb. The Pour Me a Slice cocktail -- winner of Truffle Masters 2026 -- was exactly as advertised. It's a truffle fat-washed rum drink designed to taste like a margarita pizza, and somehow... it really does. The savory notes, herbs, and slight cheese element came through in a way that was bizarre but incredibly accurate. Not something I'd drink every day, but easily one of the most memorable concept cocktails I've had. Despite it being Mother's Day and the restaurant running at full capacity, our waiter, Justin (with six years of experience), curated an incredibly smooth and thoughtful experience for us. The pacing, recommendations, and overall flow of the meal never felt chaotic, which is impressive given how hectic the night was. Huge thanks to Justin for really elevating the experience.

Beautiful decor and excellent service. I also wish some of the dishes had more spice, but that is more of a personal preference! - Mithu's coriander shrimp: Good flavor with hearty sizes of shrimp. - Chaanp: Chargrilled lamb chops that were very tender. - Dum ki ribs: Beef short ribs that were also extremely tender and flavorful. - Malwani fish curry: I had never had sea bass in an Indian curry before, but it paired surprisingly well. The fish was very soft and delicate! - Garlic naan and Bullet naan: Both were good. Get the bullet naan if you want spice/pepper flakes. Overall, I think it's worth checking out if you are looking for an elevated dining experience!
