Great Indian restaurant that provides vegan options. I ordered the eggplant, fried onions and veggie patty. I recommend the restaurant to Vegans.

I regret so much coming here. I waited 25 minutes to order food, and it took 40+ minutes for the food to come out. And it was not even warm or gOod. I ordered the Aloo Bhaji, and it was super sad. Boiled potato and added curry paste, that's what took them 40 minutes. Unbelievable.

Decent Indian food if you are looking for a quick bite like chaat, pav bhaji dosa. Food is tasty, chaat very good. Dosa is good but sambhar is ok. Also tried gajar halwa (carrot pudding) which was not very good. Very reasonably priced and good service. Used the yelp special free chai!

Spicy Dosa & Chai - one free chai upon checking in through YELP if available it will pop up!

Love this place, my grandma is a regular and they always treat her so kind! Their dosas always his the spot and their sambar is one of the best I've tasted!

Their service was very good. I had a little fun with one of the cashiers when I asked him what he would recommend. I told him he was "very diplomatic" because he wouldn't outright recommend to me what most vegan patrons order. Of course, he said he would recommend something if I came in more regularly. Love the sales spirit! I ordered the Vegetable Samosas, Gobi Mix, and Yelp awarded me a free Chai Tea for checking in. The Samosas were some of the best I have ordered anywhere. The Gobi Mix was good. To me it wasn't amazing, but it was good. The Chai Tea was delicious also. Fortunately, I was able to make it vegan with almond milk. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you are in this area because I couldn't find many vegan restaurants close by.

Potatoes that smelled so bad, they went in the trash!

For all those people who think this "restaurant" serves "fresh" food, they DO NOT!!!! My experience was terrible and the justification provided for the not so "fresh" food was even worse!! On my way home from work my wife asked for me to bring a Masala Dosa home because she was really craving it. For those who don't know what a Masala Dosa is, it's a huge piece of flat bread with a potato filling. The meal comes with a soup and some dipping sauces. Well, I yelped this place, and sorry fellow yelpers, ya let me down. It was rated extremely well so I figured they'd have good food. Well, I went in on my way home, grabbed a Dosa and headed out. Got home and unpackaged the meal, only to be hit with a foul and awful smell instantaneously. I opened the potato container and I could smell the terrible smell from 3 feet away. It had already spoiled within the 15 minute car ride. But that can't be possible, I thought, so I figured I would call the shop and let them know. Their explanation to my experience, "Well, we make our potatoes at 10am, so it is out all day and it can happen". Really??? Potatoes made at 10am, served at 7pm???? Seriously?!?!?!? How in the world can that be considered fresh???

Update: I went for a second time with my family, and the experience wasn't great. The service is a chaos and the parathas were undercooked. Probably not coming back. Although we weren't too pleased with the ambience, the food is beyond amazing. The parathas are the best you'll find in Houston, and same goes for the chaat. Definitely coming back here! The owners are also really nice, and the wife who is the main one to prepare the food is absolutely adorable! Also, it helps if you order on the phone before coming, so that you won't have to wait a while for the food after arriving.

Their vegetable samosas and paneer masala is to die for. Reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. Can't wait to try more off the menu!

The food was extremely bland. But they had good prices and kind customer service. It's also a non-crowded place and quiet.

Ordered Mango and Salt Lassis and Chai, followed by Grilled Chicken Platter (Kevab, Boti, Achari, Hariyali, and Tandoori), Tandoori Pomfret, Amritsari Chole, Sarson da Saag and Makki ki Roti, Aloo Kulcha, and Bread Basket (Naan, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori Roti). Service was friendly and excellent, food arrived promptly and was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Meats and fish were very tender and wonderfully marinated. Ramandeep visited out table and diver a while chatting about family, food, and NYE event at the restaurant. Overall the meal for gourmet set us back $124, including a healthy tip. So good to have been back - authentic, hearty Punjabi food cooked with love!

Their butter chicken is easily one of the best in town--rich, balanced, and comforting. The tandoori soy chaap is excellent, and the veg Kolhapuri was another highlight on earlier visits. Not everything hits the mark, though. The sarson da saag with makki di roti was disappointing and not something I'd recommend. Update (Aug 2025): It looks like the kitchen team has changed. Some of the curries, especially the Kolhapuri, have really declined in flavor--leaning heavily on chili powder without the depth or balance they once had. I'll give them another try before writing them off, but it's a noticeable step back.
