I'm writing this so other people know what happened. I used to order from this place almost every day on DoorDash--usually 15 chapatis and a chikoo (sapodilla) shake. Sometimes I'd add mirchi, pakora, or bhel puri too, so it wasn't just a one-time order. Recently, I placed my usual order and it was canceled twice without any proper explanation. After that, they disabled online ordering on DoorDash, and now the chapati item has been removed from DoorDash completely. What makes it more frustrating is that I can still see chapatis listed on Uber Eats, which tells me the item still exists--they just removed it from DoorDash after canceling my orders. Small order or big order, customers deserve the same respect. If you can't serve customers consistently, then don't list your items on DoorDash. And if management is reading this, please be clear about what you're willing to serve on DoorDash instead of canceling orders and removing items without explanation--so other customers don't go through the same thing. read more

Nice and friendly place but not attentive. The restroom is not up to the mark - 3.5/5. The plates and spoons are closer to how food is served back home, which is nice. Dahi Puri - 5/5 Nice and tasty. 5 pieces came to a plate. Lemon Juice - it is a combination of lemon, ginger and some other ingredients. 2.5/5 Chole Bhature - 4.5/5 it was nice and tasty. I think the oil was a bit old. Mysore masala dosa - 3.5/5 it's too crunchy. We asked for the tea after the food but it came out before the food. The workers were nice and they took the time to answer questions. I got the samosa chaat. The flavors were good however, I think the amount of sauce that was on top cooled down the samosa a bit so it wasn't up to temperature as I would have liked. The green sauce was really good. The dish was spicy but not overpowering. I also go to try the Dahi puri, it was very interesting with the yogurt inside but I liked the flavor. I would get that as an appetizer next time The star of the show was my mango lassi. The mango Lassi here was sweeter than other places and I really enjoyed it. The large windows on two sides of the restaurant let in a lot of light and gives this place an airy atmosphere. This is a self-service place where you place your order and pay up front. Water is self-service - you grab your own pitcher of water and foam cups from the side of the payment counter. There is a large selection of items on their menu. We ordered the following items to try: - Samosa Chat (Chaat?) - there's samosa in this dish somewhere but beaten up beyond recognition - Paav Bhaji Dosa - Dosa with a thick vegetable curry - Bombay sandwich - Vege toasted sandwich - Dabeli - Type of sandwich with a potato paste and peanuts - Masala dosa - Dosa with a potato filling - Bhel puri - Snack made with puffed rice, vegetables and various spices It takes about 20 minutes for us to get our food during moderately busy times. All of them were very tasty, except for the Bombay sandwich - it's fine but not in the same league as the others. Still the best dahi puri I've ever had, and I look for it everywhere I travel. Just perfect flavors and toppings, never soggy. We were in the Tomball area and were looking for some place to eat. This place popped up within half a mile radius and the reviews looked good too. The place is conveniently located off the fwy and has good visibility from the road. It was empty when we got there with one lady behind the counter. She smiled and greeted us when we entered the restaurant. The place was fairly clean and had good amount of seatings for large parties. We ordered their masala dosa, mysore masala dosa, vada pau and ragda patties. The dosas came first and were fresh and hot. But when we tried them we felt they really lacked flavor. However, their coconut and mango chutneys were great! Then came the vada pau and again the dish itself didn't taste so good but their red/brown chutney was great. Last came the ragda patties and that was the worst of all. We wanted to try some desserts but by this point had given up on finding anything that we would like at this restaurant. This place has awesome dosas, My favorite being the cheese masala dosa where they use Amul cheese, (not the Sharp cheddar other places use). We got the Paneer Dosa & Onion Rava Masala for dine in, and 1 Idli plate togo. I initially wanted to order the Khaman Dhokla but they said that they only give it for bulk orders, which I found very strange & misleading as it was on thier menu. Food came hot & was delicious. What a great restaurant. I came here on a recommendation, and the food was delicious. We arrived during a non-peak time in the afternoon for a late lunch, and there were only a few other tables dining in spaced far apart from each other. We definitely over ordered. Lol. But, it was worth it. Here's a breakdown of what we ate: Bhel Puri (5/5): Loved this appetizer. It had so much flavor and texture from the tamarind sauce, crunchy bits, onions, cilantro, and peanuts. It's quite filling. So, be mindful of this before ordering more food. Chole Bature (5/5): I loved the spicy chickpea curry. It went so well with their puffy fried bread. Vada Pav (4/5): You can't go wrong with carb on carb. Buttered bread sandwiching a spiced potato filling mixture. They serve you two of these with both mint chutney and tamarind sauces. I stuck with dipping my sandwich in the mint chutney. So good and spicy. This was a filling dish too. Samosa Pav (5/5): Fried samosa sandwiched between buttered bread. Wonderful spices, filling, and delicious. It also went great with their spicy, mint chutney. But, next time, I plan to order the samosas on their own. They already taste yummy without the bread. EASILY the best indian vegetarian spot in houston. I've tried so many thalis and I'd have to say that this one really took the cake. The service was also spectacular, food came out in ten minutes and every item was very fresh. The food tasted very healthy too. I love the minimalistic element to the thali, it wasn't TOO much or TOO little--just right. The ambiance was very comforting too; it's a very quiet and relaxing environment. So i've passes this place multiple times and decided to grab some CHAI and Samosas We went in there and it wasn't to packed but it was your typical indian restaurant, I put in two orders of samosa they are 3.99 for two and 1.99 for a small cup of chai. BOTH was GREAT! So much flavor even then chutni was amazing, BUT i did find a piece of stick in one of the bites I took. I didn't take a pic of it or anything because I took it to go and I can already hear them say it wasn't them. Besides finding the little stick in of my bites it was good and i will go back to try some more things and if i do find something in my food that shouldn't be there then I will complain lol read more

In my opinion and based on our experience. First visit to the restaurant after hearing good things about it. Place was reasonably full - being a Saturday afternoon.Placed order at the main counter for Mysore masala dosa, medhu vada, papdi chaat, kachori chaat and lassis (mango, sweet and masala). Found a table for our party of 3; unfortunately was not very clean. So, moved on to another table near the restroom doorway. Area/floor around the table was stained and not very inviting. However decided to make-do. Lassis arrived first, in small styrofoam cups - pricey for the quantity offered. Rest of the food too arrived reasonably quickly. The chaats tasted fresh and authentic - a good blend of crunchiness, tartness, spice/heat and hints of sweetness.The South Indian fare of dosa and medhu vada, however, disappointed hugely - was immediately apparent that they were not authentic -while the former was crisp, taste across the board was flat - the dosa was billed as spicy, but lacked the punch an authentic one delivers at every bite. Sambar and chutney were overly salty. The vada was dense, quite in contrast to the airy interior (due to proper dough composition and fermentation) a good one made by authentic South Indian chefs would have. The exterior too tasted like it had been double-fried, although the lady at the counter denied such. Couldn't finish the vada. All in all the South Indian fare is avoidable - not made by authentic South Indian chefs, they may look like the real deal, but don't taste as such. Friendly staff. Price was a bit steep for the quality/quantity offered, $45 - tips started at 18% (not bad for these times, however customers had to self-serve utensils, water etc.). Overall, plan to return when in the area and only if craving chaats; but nothing extraordinary. read more

I discovered this little gem during Lent when I wasn't eating meat on Fridays. Great little spot and everything tastes amazing and super fresh. I know nothing of the cuisine or where it comes from all I know is it is delicious, and the owners make great suggestions. My first few times in I stuck with bhel puri and samosas and I know I will return to those as they are both outstanding. Today I wanted to venture a little further and I tried aloo parathi, like a flatbread with potatoes inside (so good) and I tried the dahi puri, which I have no idea how to describe except to say that everything that happened on that plate was perfect. I was craving indian and in the area and found this amazing place near amc 24. Food was great!!! i love meat and although this was vegetarian i was beyond satisfied! There were plenty of tables and food was made super fast. Food was quality! and so damn cheap! less than the price of eating mcdonald's! $13 for two plates of food and a water bottle. Cashier was super friendly and gave us recommendations on what to get since we were unfamiliar with the dishes and what they came with.
