Every time I'm craving pad see ew, I go to Mint Thai! Their pad see ew is deliciously sweet and savory. I usually get mine with pork, which is always nice and tender. The dinner portions are very generous. I almost always have leftovers to take home! The service is pretty quick, and I've never had to wait to be seated. I have heard it gets really busy during weekday lunch hours, so keep that in mind! The staff is kind and friendly, and the restaurant is clean with plenty of tables and seating. Definitely check out Mint Thai when you get the chance! read more

This is the boy's preferred thai place. He's been getting the spicy fried rice. He used to like the crispy pork with veggies. It's usually not busy when we go. I think they can accommodate 90 guests. They do have a large table for 8 that is reserved for the American Express crowd. I think they toned down the spice level because a level 4 spicy dish isn't very spicy. read more

Unfortunately, this wasn't a great experience. Every dish we ordered was extremely salty, to the point that it overwhelmed the flavors. The food was overcooked, and everything was drenched in excessive sauce, making it difficult to appreciate the ingredients. We were hoping for authentic Thai flavors, but the seasoning and preparation missed the mark. The owner needs to taste his own dishes! The restaurant is also very dirty. The entry is filled with stocking supplies! read more

This is my go to lunch spot whenever I'm working from home. I typically order for pick up through UberEats and they are very quick to prepare the orders. The few times I've sat down and eaten their the ladies are very nice and they have tons of space to sit. I usually stick to the same dishes but the Shrimp Pad Kee Mao and Crispy House Chicken have never steered me wrong. I would definitely recommend trying it if you haven't already. read more

We came here because my son and husband ate here last weekend and thought it was great and wanted to go back. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and found a meal worm in my food. I showed it to the server and he told me it wasn't. I asked him what he thought it was and he said it was part of the shrimp and then went back to the counter and proceeded to ignore me. He had someone else drop off the check and didn't even bother to ask if I wanted to speak with a manager. I also paid for my worm infested food! I would not recommend eating here. To top it all off, it smells like sewage. read more

I strongly dislike doing bad reviews but Mint has pissed me off for the last time. Mint Thai Kitchen - 249 location does not provide enough protein in their dishes. I've had to call them on multiple occasions because the meat portion is just not worth paying for. So, tonight I ordered Mint through door dash (normally, I don't but I couldn't leave in time to pick up). Of course the chicken portion was LITTLE TO NONE so I called to speak with someone. I was told the manager was gone for the night & no one in charge is available. Now, i'm stuck with a half ass order & they have all my money. I won't go back ever again after tonight. read more

New thai place discovered for me! Really loved the ambiance and the soft music. The staff were so pleasant. They have a really extensive menu with clearly indicated gluten free options. Don't expect a boujee high level thai restuarant if that's your expectations. This spot is low key with plenty of seating and quick service for a nice casual quick lunch or bite with others. Simple procedures: order up front at the counter, pay, sit, they bring your food, you eat it, and then you leave. There's a variety of thai dishes here. Since I'm usually here with people from our office, they always go with the pad thai or the pad see ewe, both are popular noodle dishes. The fried rice is another favorite as well. I've been meaning to try other dishes such as the yellow or green curry, tom yum soup, or the kanah muu krob pork dish. But I always go wtih the pad see ewe, pad kee mao, or pad kra pao. Something about those noodles/rice with veggies and meat and egg that keep me coming back. This is a staple amongst our office when we're in the mood for thai due to location, price, and convenience. I need to try other dishes here and venture my taste buds out. read more

I'm not sure this place deserves such a high rating. The Pad Thai noodles were overcooked and mushy. The beef in the salad tasted like low-quality, boiled meat--it was very dry and tough. Additionally, the salad dressing was watered down. The drunken noodles were perhaps the only good dish we ordered; they had a nice wok-smoked aroma and decent flavor. While the quality of the beef was poor, it at least absorbed the marinade flavor. We arrived at the peak dinner hour, yet we were the only table there. The interior, was definitely a turn away once you entered as pile of supplies stacked 7 feet high to the right of the front lobby. The lighting was dim. read more

Superb Thai food and wonderful, friendly staff. The Pad See Yew was excellent! Highly recommend

From the moment I walked in the staff, and the ambience made me feel welcome, the Tom Yum Goong soup was truly the best I've had in years and by itself would be worth going back for the green curry was fragrant and spicy the Tom Ka Gai soup was creamy and flavorful, although a bit too sweet for my taste but all in all it was a great experience and I will definitely be back read more

The atmosphere at Mint Thai Kitchen is top-notch. There are hardly any customers here, and the ambient atmosphere pairs well with the lofi Pokemon playlist they have on the speakers. This is a great place to just chill out after a busy day. I also like that each dish marked with an asterisk can have their spiciness levels changed on a 5-point scale from 1 (wimpy babies) to 5 (based gigachads). I had the level 4 Gang Mang (red curry) with pork. Oddly, the rice was served on the side on a separate plate. In mixing the curry and rice (as I always , I risked spilling over the curry due to the uneven shape of the bowl. Would prefer to be asked if I could have the rice already mixed in before sending the dish out to me]. read more

This is in our monthly rotation. Their red, green, and yellow curry are food. The Tom kha gai (coconut chicken soup) is one of my favorites. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes when getting beef as a meat choice the beef is chewy and not tender. I stick to pork and my husband chicken but my family member only eats beef. Pad Thai is on the sweeter side but not bad. Drunken noodles are also good. Husband likes the eggplant chicken and cashew chicken. Wish they had other more authentic options on their menu like nam ka Had their tom yum and it was not good which was disappointing. The balance of flavors wasn't right at all. May have been an off day for that soup but the coconut soup is always on point. read more

Got their red curry and it was okay. Most Thai curries are usually more creamy but I felt this might've been a bit watered down. They also added huge chunks of tofu and I think if the tofu was grilled or fried it might've tasted better. My friend got their pad see ew and enjoyed it. read more

The pad Thai was yummy, the rice was a little overdone, but everything taste good overall. The food took about ten minutes. We had a good experience here overall. It was nice and empty since we came right after opening at 11. Our server was super sweet and the food and drinks were both fast. Prices are very reasonable. Drinks: Coffee was great, but tea was on the sweeter side and not as strong. Food - Pad Thai with chicken was super solid! Would recommend. Definitely dial down the spice level if you are sensitive to that. Tried beef with the red curry and it was a little on the chewier side; chicken might've been a better choice. The portions are just right. read more

This is for the location on 249 near Willowbrook mall. Like another review I read, there's a lot of boxes everywhere as if they don't have storage so as soon as you walk in the area that's supposed to be a welcome desk is filled with storage boxes. It also smelled like chemicals almost like a nail shop. I can look past that, but ultimately, we were not impressed with the food at all. The pad Thai was OK at best and the pad see ew lacked seasoning. Some of my noodles weren't coated as if not enough sauce was put on it or something or perhaps it wasn't cooked long enough. But the ultimate disappointment came with the pineapple fried rice. As soon as you open the container, it had a very strong fish smell which was alarming because when shrimp smells fishy, that means it is bad. So ultimately, our pineapple fried rice was not edible because it was made with spoiled shrimp. We will not be returning. I am not interested in a refund or any kind of financial compensation. I just won't be returning to this establishment. read more

Mint Thai Kitchen, oh how I love thee! But seriously this is one of my favorite restaurants. I've been eating here since they opened and honestly eat here ridiculously often. I honestly don't think I've eaten anything here I would call bad. I usually don't need to add any appetizers but they all slap! Peek Gai Tohd (Fried Chicken Wings) are my favorite because they have such a pungent unique flavor. The Satay Gai (Grilled Chicken Skewers) are probably second. The Cream Cheese Tohd (Cream Cheese Rolls) and Poh Pia Tohd (Vegetable Egg Rolls) are delicious light options. The Goong Gabok (Golden Shrimp Rolls) are cool. When dining in I enjoy the Pad Gra Tiem (Garlic Pepper) and Pad Khing (Ginger and Onion) from the stir fry items. The Pad Thai (Thin Rice Noodles) and Pad Kee Mao (Spicy Flat Rice Noodles) are my favorite of their noodle dishes I don't think I've tried a curry here but of their fish dishes I really enjoyed the Pla Saam Rod (Three Flavored Fish). My first time eating here I was told by the server the fried rice dishes were cool but as a Thai restaurant not their specialty and I've never order it, but a did have a friend order it and say it was cool. The House Special Crispy Chicken is a go to meal (used to eat on a spice level 3 now I enjoy 4) when ordering to go. It's actually one dish here I prefer eating from home. It wasn't always on the menu but once it was added it became a fan favorite in my circle. My best friend, who loved food here before the House Special Crispy Chicken was added to the menu, now eats it exclusively...as if the rest of the menu disappeared to her. So if you get one item here this is definitely the one I recommend first. The staff is always polite and helpful. They even held their composure rather well when I dined in with a group and had a somewhat unruly member with us. To be honest my one and only knock on here is that if you dine in sodas are served in a can, which obviously I can get over. Oh and dining in post pandemic is more just eating inside instead of eating in a restaurant experience wise. You know the food is amazing if they grew out to get another location. I've only eaten at the other location once but it was clear between me and my group that this location is better. read more

Nice counter service place that offers a variety of Thai dishes. I've been to other locations of this operation as well. This one serves as a convenient lunch spot in the Willowbrook area. Order at the counter and take your number. This place can get packed during lunch time on the weekdays. The dining room echoes a bit, so the side tables are best. I was craving something different, and the cashier mentioned a crispy pork dish, Kanah Muu Krob. It sounded intriguing, and I enjoy gailan, so I went with it. It was quite tasty, and I enjoy the leafy green vegetable. Despite containing fatty pork belly bites, the dish wasn't too heavy. It's tossed in a thin sweet soy sauce. Would definitely return. read more

We came on July 3rd. It was definitely not the experience we were hoping for from Houston. It was awful. The restrooms matched the food. The service was so-so, as they did try to be occasionally attentive. But the ambiance was not impressive and it wasn't just because the place was empty. As my partner noted, they had tons of toilet paper in the bathroom likely to service it as little as possible. Someone really doesn't care. We wondered if it was because we went to the less popular location by accident. We didn't know there were two and had meant to go downtown. As for the food, I ordered Tom kha but with tofu and it was the sweetest in the worst way possible. The papaya salad (which I thought was impossible to ruin) surprised me and my partner as well. Nothing was made fresh and the tofu tasted like it came out of the freezer. I do not recommend this place. I am in shock that it is so highly rated. read more

Restaurant was pretty empty and cold. Staff felt family-owned. I ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken and sautéed eggplant with fish. The soup broth was so flavorful, and vibrant; I could taste every ingredient. One the best I've had in this city or maybe ever. The eggplant came with rice and crispy fish bites. I got the spice level 1, which some how still had my nose sniffing a little. Lots of eggplant and vegetables but it was very flavorful. I finished it with a traditional Thai tea which was sweet and as it should have been. Exactly! Would definitely recommend. read more

What time is it... It's Thai Timmmmmme!!! Nooooo, I mint to say it was Mint Thai time... Lol... Okay, so corney, but I had to get that out!!!! Mint Thai is a cute tech savvy restaurant in a shopping center near Willowbook Mall. Parking: Parking was tight. On a busy Saturday afternoon of a shopping center I guess it was good for that time frame, especially being located next to a cellphone shop and a seafood restaurant. Inside/the Look: It was cute. Plenty of seating and there was an actual birthday party happening there at that time. Service: We called in an order, then when we got there decided to add another dish. It was no problem. They have us a time table of when the new dish would be ready and gave it to us ontime. The Food: We ordered Chicken Pineapple Curry Level 4. OMG, it was amaaaaazing!!!! Soooooo good! We also ordered flat noodles with shrimp... soooo yummy!!! In short, I'll be back!!! Lol read more

I've been to this place a couple of times. And if you like spice and flavorful Thai food this is the spot for you! I've had the yellow and red curry here and I've also had the crispy chicken. Now be aware that their spice level chart runs a little bit heavy handed. I cannot get past a medium level spice & even that would clear my sinuses. But even though the food can be spicy it still has flavor with the heat The only gripe I would say is that for the prices that they charge you don't really get that much food. but it's not absorbently expensive. read more

Everything we ate here was good! We ordered a crispy chicken dish, a Chinese broccoli with crispy pork and pad see ew. They ran out of the flat noodle and asked if they could make the pad see ew with the thin ones use for pad Thai, we agreed to it. I almost liked it better with thin pad thai rice noodles! It was chewy and still good. We went when they first opened on a Sunday and I'm not sure if they changed their process for the pandemic, but you order at the front and they bring food in disposable plates. All their sodas are can drinks but they give you a disposable cup with ice. We didn't mind it as we wanted a quick bite to eat and not a sit down dining experience for lunch. We will be back for a quick meal or take out. read more

I've now ordered three times from Mint Thai Kitchen through Uber Eats. All three deliveries have been superb. The food is hot, is a good portion, and wonderfully seasoned. My only complaint is that not enough rice is given with entrees. Rice is too cheap to be portioned that sparingly. Nevertheless, because of the quality of food I'm receiving at home I can only imagine the in restaurant experience must be good as well. read more

I feel like Mint is a hidden gem My sister recommended Mint and now it's our go to for Thai in the area. Everything I've tried has been cooked to perfection! Service is great and food is always tasty. They no longer serve beer & wine; which is a little bit of a bummer, but their mint jasmine tea is delicious.
