Excellent food and service. The desert was ok but the lamb and rice was the best part for me.

I will preface my review by saying: I went here for a lunch break , and I took everything togo. I've heard great things about this place for a while.I just never tried it because mediterranean & buffet Didn't seem to go together at the time. BOY WAS I WRONG! There were so many diverse options of food to have from salads, to meat, to different breads & dessert.They even had banana pudding!! Needless to say, I was very surprised. They do have a price list for to go(it is by the pound for the most part) .So it's not just $18 you get what you want like with the dine in option. I was expecting my plates to be expensive.But it ended up coming out to adjust a little bit above the buffet price. And of course the food was delicious! I got so many things I can't name them all but I ended up getting Two salads(IDR the names) Khafta, gyro meat & hummus as well as grape leaves & falafel. My 2nd plate was for pita & garlic bread. Five stars , because this place exceeded my expectations in every aspect! This will be a regular spot for me! read more

This is an excellent Mediterranean Buffet with ALL kinds of foods, desserts, drinks, and dates, breads, etc. . My sister in law really enjoyed the fresh dishes and cleanliness of this restaurant. We will definitely be back! I really liked the rice & veggies, chicken dishes, lasagna, pizza, and various fresh salads... My husband wanted to introduce me to different kinds of food so the first time I went here, I was skeptical. However, each and every time we come here it is better than the last. The food is always fresh; the flavors are mild with a touch of heat. The Tzatziki sauce is my favorite! The pitas are soft and pillowy and the crunchy pitas are delicious too. Even the pizza is good. It's baked in a wood fired oven. My husband loves the grilled chicken; I love the kebab chicken and beef. The meal comes with your choice of drink, not for an extra charge. The creamy baklava is great too along with a good cup of coffee. On a side note - I have tried just about everything here but didn't care for the chicken and noodles although the chicken was juicy and tasty the sauce was too runny and the pasta was overcooked. However, we make it our weekly dinner spot. It has also encouraged me to order Mediterranean for lunch from a local Gyro shop near my job which was just a good. read more

I'll give this an above average Mediterranean restaurant experience as buffet goes $24 per adult for dinners and the weekends is pretty affordable and then the meat was very flavorful. The hummus was freshly made so was the pita bread I like that soda and juice was included. The servers and staff are friendly. It's a very large location. We went on a Friday night wasn't very busy so that was nice. There's a clean interior Large parking lot Note my rating system: 1 Star: I wouldn't recommend 2 Stars: Didn't hit my standards 3 Stars: Average (nothing special) 4 Stars: Above Average. DELICIOUS! I just went for lunch and was amazed at all of the gorgeous food. Fresh salads, hummus, and chicken-- so many ways--with so much flavor! Ended with a vanilla soft serve ice cream cone. It's a hidden gem within the Willowbrook area. I'm glad I found it. Try it out. read more

It pains me to leave this review because this is my third time here and I honestly like this place! This past weekend we went there to celebrate my brother's birthday. First of all, the buffet is really GOOOOOD. The salad buffet is so good and everything is fresh. All the veggies: cucumbers, onions, lettuce, spinach, HUMMUS and pitas to die for...seriously. I'm pleased with just the salad buffet! Once you get to the real food it's actually very impressive. The chicken is so tasty. The rice variety is delicious. I love the rice with the lentils. I mean they cannot go wrong on the food....the price is also very fair for what they offer. Here's my issue with this past weekend, there's a sign to order a "lamb shank" because they don't have it out on the buffet table anymore. I politely ordered a lamb shank with one of the buffet servers and I could've sworn she answered me, I waited a few minutes, saw her return and nothing. I then ordered it from another lady working behind the buffet because I guess the first lady I asked didn't hear me. This second lady definitely heard me. After a minute or two she came out with a plate of lamb shank that had a looooong piece of hair in it dripping the lamb shank sauce off the plate! UGH!!!!! I was grossed out!!! At that point I didn't know if I wanted the order anymore. I politely pointed out that there's a long hair on the plate dripping sauce off the place. She might have been mildly annoyed with me at this point. A third lady asks me what I'm waiting for and I tell her I got the lamb shank but it had a hair in it. She tells the lady to bring out another order. Mind you, I noticed there was a gentleman that got his order very quickly after placing it. My brother also got his almost instantly. I almost felt like I was being avoided. Were they just being nicer to the gentlemen?? This didn't change my attitude towards them nor had I overreacted. I understand sometimes things happen but if I'm paying for it, I don't want to receive my plate with hair in it! They brought out an order without the hair. I have no idea if they changed it out or just changed the plating on it. I was a little grossed out at that point. I didn't want this moment to sway my review but I really did feel overlooked by these ladies. Maybe I had not been seen or heard but I was a little miffed that the guys got served better and faster than the women that day. Maybe it was just an off day in the kitchen. Other than that, it was quiet and I love what they've done with the place since Sweet Tomatoes, which is a hard spot to top! I haven't decided if I'll be back yet but the food is really good. After staying away a while I thought I'd give it another try. Bad decision. I thought getting here at 11:30 I'd get food that was fresh and hot. Ha! Salad bar: still awesome as always. Kudos on the consistency of this section being good always. The first 5 sections of the hot foods were anything but hot - in fact they were room temp or cold, with no warmth whatsoever. How can food that was just cooked and out or did the lunch crowd be refrigerator cold? Stop rushing, get here in time to Oreo and cook the food properly. The cauliflower was so good and raw I couldn't cut it with the safe for kids knives provided. That is really disappointing bc this is one of the main vegetables I come here for. The pasta was drowning in milk. It wasn't creamy - it was a liquid pool. On the other hand though, the baked pasta was clearly yesterday's pasta reheated in the broiler (too hot bottom cold). And I get that sitting up front as a cashier is boring on a place like this, but employees should never be seen and heard on their phones and watching videos where customers are eating. Just not good business guidelines to allow that. Oh well, the price has gone up but the food has gone down. Scratch this place off my list. I won't be back to this one. read more

Had a great experience at Dimassi's on 77064 today. The moment we walked in, Nelly at the front greeted us with a warm welcome and set the tone for the whole visit. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel taken care of right from the start. Generally, the nearer you get to Houston, The better Dimassi's tends to be. * * * This is one of the good ones. Like a fool, I picked up too many vegetable dishes in the beginning, and didn't have enough room for the really really fine meat dishes. If you are smart ... Go for the meatballs first ... and then get everything else second or third. Their meatballs in tomato sauce are absolutely to die for. Everything else was pretty decent too. Nothing bad found its way to my plate - and I sampled a lot of things. * * * The best part of the Willowbrook Dimassi's though is the fashion show. There are some Middle Eastern families, where Mom or Grandma have really gone all out shopping before they went out for dinner. I don't know the name for Middle Eastern versions of saris ... But there were saris there that were some of the most fantastic garments I have ever seen at a buffet. Dad would be wearing plain old clothes. The boys would be wearing plain old clothes. The girls would be wearing something a little more elaborate. The married women were fashion-plate jaw-dropping. Do some internet research, because I strongly suspect these garments were obtained in Houston. There is shopping to be done. read more

Had a taste for Mediterranean food and was near the Willowbrook area, so thought we'd stop by Dimassi's on 249. We went in and were expecting the same quality of service as you get in The Woodlands, however, what was received was absolutely the opposite. First - the ceiling was leaking in several areas - forcing us to play musical chairs so as to not get dropped on - yet it still happened. Second - the food was cold. I don't mean warm either - I mean COLD. No one ate anything besides a piece of bread, and when approaching the cashier on duty - she was as complacent as could be - as if it was a common theme. She acted as if she knew the state of the food and that it wasn't a big deal. Left my information for a manager to reach out - never did. Needless to say - first impression is a lasting impression and we won't be returning. read more

First of all, I love Mediterranean food second I've been to the location off of Richmond, as well as the one closest to me in the Woodlands and their food is impeccable. I've been going to the one in the Woodlands since they opened. I visit a couple of times a month and everything is always so tasty fresh and cook thoroughly.. this one truly disappointed from the moment I walked in the food items did not look the same they did not have some of the yummy entrees they have at the other two places. The food at this establishment was either overcooked crunchy like the falafel patties and other meat items were undercooked. Food did not taste fresh and had a funny aftertaste. Sadly I'm very disappointed. If you are a local or planning to come here make sure you try the other location and you will see and taste the difference. The difference is like going to McDonaldes and a nice steak house for a burger. read more

I dined here a couple of times this week Prior to going to work. I have visited all their locations. It's all you can eat concept, but I only go once to the Buffet, and grab my plates. There's a vibe variety of selection ranging from different types of meats to different types of salads, to different types of rice and vegetables and Several other items such as hummus, baba ghanouj etc. etc. Personal favorite is all the gyro that's available, along with the beef kabobs that keep coming fresh off the grill. For non-meat eaters, there's plenty of vegetarian options available and the menu is also vegan-friendly. I might actually go back tonight. read more

I DESPISE BUFFETS!!!! I had a late evening nail appointment and did not feel like going home cooking dinner afterwards. While I was getting my pedicure, I began searching for some local African food and Mediterranean Halal cuisine that I could possibly take home for dinner. This particular establishment came across Yelp highly rated and recommended. At first, I was skeptical because it's a buffet and I absolutely DESPISE BUFFETS! People allow their children to get their own food at buffets and they tend to cough and sneeze all over the food. GROWN-UPS are no better! They pick their noses and sneeze into their hands and then make their way up to the buffet to touch all over the utensils, all while coughing and sneezing all over the food. Ewww! Anyway, I talked myself into giving it a try because I was starving and it was close by. Man oh man, I was not disappointed in my decision after I got home and went in on my food. It was DEE-Li-SHUSS!!! Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the hostess at the door, a young lady by the name of Cynthia. She was welcoming, friendly, and pleasant. She automatically asked me if I wanted to dine in or order to go. Of course, I wanted it to go, so that I could get home and eat, because it was already later than my normal dinner time, and I don't like roaming the streets at night all alone. Cynthia explained that the to-go-buffet ordering process is weighed once you fill your to-go container with all the items that you want. You bring the container back to the front counter and the hostess or host will place it on the scale and give you the total bill for your order. My total bill was $18. As I approached the buffet area, I was at a lost as to where to start because everything looked so delicious! There were so many different types of salads, fried cauliflower, rice with meat, rice with mixed veggies, fried chicken, mixed sautéed veggies, beef kabobs, chicken kabob, lamb shank, meatballs, and more! I ended up getting one piece of baked chicken, one piece of baked fish, cabbage salad, Greek salad, squash, jalapeno peppers, and a whole MESS of yellow rice (rice with mixed veggies)! I'm a rice fanatic ya'll. I love all types of flavored rice. That yellow rice was really hitting. The flavors were bold and evident in each glorious bite that I took. Ohhh, and I forgot that I got one piece of their fried chicken. Guys let me just tell ya, that fried chicken was fried to fried-chicken-perfection! It was seasoned just right, not too salty, but just enough salt for taste!. It was "finger-licking-good" for real-for real! I was wishing I had gotten more pieces, lol. Furthermore, I tried the cabbage salad and the Greek salads. Both salads were equally delicious and satisfying! The more I delved into my food, the more I found myself wishing that I had stayed and ate at the restaurant so that I could go back for more and more. Bad idea though! I would have eaten myself sick, but that's how much I enjoyed my meal. I can definitely see myself coming back in the near future. Overall, my total to-go experience with this establishment was a nice one. I rated them four stars for great customer service and great tasting Mediterranean cuisine! They have extensive VEGAN options on the buffet such as falafel, spicy hummus, eggplant, grape leaves, fatoush, mushroom salad, pinto beans salad, chickpeas salad, tabouli, and more! The dining area is super huge and plentiful. Although I did not walk around the dining room area to check for cleanliness, the buffet area was pretty neat and clean. Side Note: The location of this restaurant is by Willow Brook Mall. The building that it's occupying used to be a restaurant called Sweet Tomatoes next to Pizza Hut and it sits on the feeder Rd. of Hwy 249. There's plenty of parking located in the front and the back of the building. read more
