It had been a while since my last visit to Kabob Korner, but it absolutely lived up to the memory. The staff are always welcoming, and the place is spotless. I stopped in for lunch with coworkers last week, and I'm really glad I did. As a big meat lover, I went straight for the spicy beef kabobs with a side of hummus and garlic naan. The beef was seasoned perfectly, with bold Southeast Asian flavors that really stood out. It came with a zesty lime dipping sauce that paired so well with the kabobs--I couldn't get enough of it. I'm also a huge hummus fan, and theirs did not disappoint. It's the kind I could snack on every day, especially when paired with their garlic naan, which is in a league of its own. If you love garlic, you'll be hooked after the first bite. If you're craving quick, flavorful Mediterranean food on the northwest side, Kabob Korner is definitely worth a visit. read more

Mediterranean food! A really good spot next to a grocery store. The employee reminded us that we still had time to order the lunch portions which was very nice. The pita and hummus was so flavorful. Somebody sent us to this restaurant with instruction that we had to absolutely asked for the "chicken roll". Well, we never got to that. The ground beef seasoned kabob was extraordinary in that it was not overcooked, but instead tasted great and was super juicy. We tried the hummus sampler which is three styles and the standard one was really good, but the other two were just a little bit too spicy for our tastes. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs as we hadn't eaten all day and we were so hungry that the ordering got away from us LOL. The baklava is freshly made every two days, but there's no photo because Mr. Picky ate it when my head was turned. It's all halal which sets my mind at rest. It's a bit of a drive to get there from here but next time we go I'll run through all the individual dishes. In the meantime, I can definitely recommend the place. read more

This is a casual restraunt where you order at the counter. I ordered chicken biryani rice. It came with chicken on the bone. It was good! I also tried my partners chicken tikka masala. It was also good! Both dishes seemed authentic. They had a good amount of spice in them, but it wasn't overbearing. 12/31/19 I found this place thanks to yelp Great reviews and photos had me come here. Well that and my love of Mediterranean food. I ordered a mixed grill meal, which came with various meats, on a bed of rice and a few select veggies. Salad came along with it, and I ordered garlic naan. This is the type of restaurant that you order before you sit so the food is hot and delicious. I was well taken cared of here by the staff and enjoyed all my food thoroughly. Omg! Glad I gave this place a try, everything was amazing. The best gyro I have had in years and I have eaten a lot of gyros. The pita was melt in your mouth and so was the meat. The gyro meat had so much flavor and was so moist and the tzatziki sauce was so creamy and delicious. I was even surprised how much I liked the Naan, it is just bread. But it was soft and seasoned well I couldn't stop eating it. I also got a baklava to try and that was perfectly executed. The phyllo was flaky and it wasn't overly sweet like some baklava. This place is a casual restaurant where you order at the register and they bring it to your table. The service was very kind and patient with all of their customers. We ordered the chicken seekh kabob wrap (not pictured), chicken shawarma platter with hummus and tabouleh and onion naan. My favorite was the seekh kabob it was so flavorful and juicy! I would come back just for that. I'm not sure we would get the shawarma again, the flavor was good but it was just a tad bit dry :/ and the hummus wasn't the best we've had. A little disappointed in the vegetarian/pescatarian options and wanted something more filling. I got the grilled tilapia which was a decent size and overall the plate was filling and has mild flavor. However I do not recommend the veggie samosa. It was a very sad samosa that had lots of "flour fillers" and barely any veggies. Very disappointing that we were refused admission because we had our ESA dog with us (who was in a covered stroller) we have been consistent customers of this establishment via Uber eats but will no longer be patronising because of this very small minded gesture. First time trying Mediterranean food and it was pretty good. I ordered the chicken seekh kabobs, rice, a side of garlic naam bread with spicy hummus and the baqlawa alamode. The chicken and rice was pretty good but my personal favorite was the regular naam bread with the spicy hummus. The garlic naam had a little to much garlic for me. But the baqlawa was a great way to finish my meal. Just wish it was a little bit more fresh. It was quiet, clean and the cashier was nice and helpful. This little corner restaurant is fairly well known around this community by people who either love it or avoid it. Its primary focus is grilled meat dishes such as Kebabs and Shawarma, alongside smaller South Asian appetizers such as Daal and Chaat. They also have a selection of 3 bread options. A fairly average menu selection for a Halal Grill Selection, the restaurant overall fits the label of 'Average'. Their service is underwhelming at best, with either uncomfortable or restless employees, with nary a smile in sight. They had to be asked for plates for both appetizer and entree, their tables don't really fit the people they sit and feed, and their gratuity charge starts from 4+ people, the smallest group number I've seen in Texas thus far. The only redeeming factor is that the restaurant was fairly busy at the time of our sale. The food on its own was also rather standard, with not much heat or seasoning, and reminded me of Shan Masala spice packets. It was however cooked properly and fully, despite other reviews, which is at the minimum par for a respectable restaurant. The food was otherwise unremarkable, with nothing unique or special that could make one decide to return to this location specifically. In culmination, this place is stay or go, hit or miss. It's an option that's out there, but not one that Is specifically recommend above the rest. Other options such as Tempura across the street offer a reputation as well, so look into your option before this one. read more

This is my go-to for Mediterranean food! Everything is always so flavorful with good portions. The mixed grill or combination platter is my favorite with yellow rice. Service: You walk and order up front, and then your food and drinks are served to you at your table, and then you pay after you've finished your meal-similar process as Al Markaz in dallas. Ambiance: Another casual restaurant with an eclectic/mod Indian vibe to this place with seating for around 30 people. Also, there's a banquet hall connected next door. As we ate dinner, more people started showing up making this place more full, but it never got too loud to where you couldn't hear the people next to you. Food: Everything was delicious except for the naan which was just mediocre and the portions were a little off. Here are the items we ordered: Mix Grilled Platter: this plate came with seekh kabob, lamb chop, beef kabob and chicken tikka as well as a side small of rice... the rice dish wasn't proportional to the size of this platter, so we had to order extra naan. Everything was cooked to perfection and super flavorful! The naan, however, wasn't fluffy at all and tasted just OK. Chicken Boti Platter: Super flavorful and cooked just right to make it super juicy! Not too spicy and not bland at all! Falooda: Delicous! It's our first time getting food from here, honestly the chicken was really good. We got a combo platter and two garlic naans. I've tried garlic naan before elsewhere, but these naans were way too bitter and had way too much garlic on them. I had to scrape off the garlic on one of the naans because it was too overwhelming. Did Salt Bae get a job here? Everything we ordered was drenched with salt! Nihari- one piece of meat that was too tender, almost mushy. Oil amount was way too much and guess how much sodium there was? Too much! Beef kabob- picture shows naan with the kabob, but that's a lie. Two thin pieces which seemed burned. Again, too much salt. Beef roll- the color of the lettuce was disgusting. Instead of the regular green color, it was a brown, old color. Probably E. coli bound? No taste in this dish and salt was ridiculous amount. What they cooked as Nihari was nothing but two huge chunks of beef in thick gravy which I don't call Nihari. Go here! I'm in town for a training about 10 miles away and stumbled upon this little gem. I love a good review so I went with the chicken tandoori and boy did it live up to my expectations! I called in the order, a bit upset because I had to wait, and the employee was extremely kind. When I arrived she let me know that I ordered a large portion however there's a lunch special available, which I most definitively wanted. The lunch portion is huge! The sauces are divine. The reason I'm giving this two stars is because the food didn't have much flavor. This was our first time trying this place and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was hot and fresh when delivered to our car. However, there was not much flavor to the food. It was pretty bland. I had the chicken kabob platter with double hummus. Some of the chicken was tender and the hummus just tasted as if it was cardboard. The naan on the other hand was delicious and hot. It's the only thing that saved the dinner.
