Even after re-heating them later that night, I was blown away with how delicious everything was, so I was really excited to check out their new, Old Town Spring location. We ordered the Chuns burrito and the Hawaiian bowl to split, but after ordering, we realized that the Chuns was a breakfast burrito, which is not what we wanted. Unfortunately, it was too late to switch it to the BBQ bomber, which is what we meant to get. As it turned out, both things were top notch, so it really worked out. But I had a craving for that BBQ bomber and had unprecedented hunger levels, so I yolo'd my way back to the counter and said, sir, I will be ordering my third entree now. And my wife maybe had 2-3 bites, while I crushed the rest of it. All in all, I probably ate 75% of these three meals and I have zero regrets about that. Bonus: the BBQ bomber was my personal favorite, so it was all worth it. Oh, and we had already ordered a Dole Whip with our initial transaction, so I grabbed that after I was done stuffing my face on the other stuff. One unique item they have on the menu is a fork and knife hot dog which costs $13. Wow, this better be one awesome hot dog. The day I visited, they had a party for about 30 senior citizens that were celebrating a birthday. Normally that many customers in a single group would make a restaurant pretty loud, but it was actually extremely quiet in the restaurant. Every good restaurant does something slightly different to set them apart. Here at dinner, they give you a dinner roll slathered in melted honey butter and rosemary. The roll itself seemed to be made from frozen dough, but the tasty butter made it edible. I ordered the chicken club and kept the fries as my side. As far as presentation, I'd give it a C. The fries are frozen breaded fries. The sandwich tasted better than it looked thankfully. Service was good throughout my time here. I was going to order the herb roast chicken, but they were sold out. The owner said he'd make me a chicken breast with mashed potatoes and veggies instead. When it was ready after about 8 minutes, I got it and went home and gave it to my wife. She was unhappy that I had gotten her chicken breast (she is a picky eater), but she decided to try it. After her first bite, she went "holy s#%*, this is amazing" and "this guy can cook". I then tried it and agreed that it was amazing. It was not what I was expecting from a food truck. I am willing to bet that the owner has worked in the kitchens of very high en, fine dining establishments and/or was professionally trained. Finished with beignets. The Benny Benedict is an eye-catching platter. It's two eggs benedict on top of a full chicken fried chicken serving cut in half. So it's a massive amount of food, you're in good shape if someone wants to split it. The eggs were very tasty and the breading on the chicken fried chicken is perfect for this--it is very crisp so it holds up to the moisture of the eggs and sauce. The hashbrowns were good too. Definitely something to try. The chicken fried steak is well known at Waterfalls but I had never had it. Can't wait to get it again. Many places serving chicken fried steak compete for the largest portion. What I want is the best portion! This is a generous serving, and it's the best CFS I've ever experienced. The breading is very crisp, which complements the sausage gravy really well. And not a hint of gristle! I can't tell you how many times I have gone to a famous CFS place and gotten a massive serving, but the breading has gone soft under the gravy and resulted in a big gooey, pasty mess. Not this time. The fries were excellent, they are breaded and nice and crisp. Would go great with a burger. The green beans have what looks like a good size piece of crisp bacon crumbled in them--very flavorful.
