Went for lunch, and had a nice experience. The inside decor was very pleasant. We were greeted warmly. The service was great, never asked for refills, only had to speak, when waiter asked "How is everything." I had the Republic Burger, medium well, on Jalapeño bun, and cheddar cheese. Burger was very juicy and had great flavor. Fries were cooked and seasoned well. My friend had the Chicken fried Chicken, with mashed potatoes, and southern green beans. He loved the white gravy and the taste of his chicken, and pretty much, cleaned his plate. Love the variety of options, and different cuisines available. This place is a hit or miss. Most days they are spot on but it has been 50/50 if we receive great service or food or both. When they first opened it was great! They have a lot of turn over and it's always so cold you have to bring a sweater. It's clean enough and music is good. Lighting is never adjusted to set the mood. We always have such a great experience here! My husband and I come about once a week, whether it's just the two of us or we bring our grandson along. The service is excellent, and the entire staff is always friendly and welcoming. The bartenders are wonderful, and Sarah, the manager, always makes sure everyone is well taken care of. Amazing service Top pick would be the parm flounder add the shrimp and crawfish sauce to make it perfect. The wedge is to die for. The corn bread is the best corns bread I have ever had the pleasure to cross my mouth. The butter that you can add on just helps you put down more corn bread down... faster. Another amazing dinner at my favorite restaurant! My Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was great. The Woodlands Salmon was cooked to perfection along with the asparagus (I saved the jalepeno bacon Mac for a later indulgence). The service was excellent. Drinks - old fashioned had 2 and they tasted amazing, not too sweet and still taste the whiskey...it also did have me staying a little longer to allow the buzz to wear off. Food Wedge Salad - big enough for us 4 to share, loved it, not sure why so many restaurants don't serve this salad, one of my favorites and pretty simple. Gumbo - meaty and very good Smoked wings - lacked a little flavor Flounders were both great - prefer the blackened one, though it did come on the small side, you can't tell from under the seafood sauce. We were looking for somewhere to eat in the Spring area and we decided to check this restaurant out. The parking is free and the restaurant is nice. They have a patio area but it was too cold to eat outside. We came at a great time because we were seated immediately, without a reservation, and then it got crowded. The host was good and explained today's special to us before our waiter came. We started with the Chips & Queso with ground beef and it was AMAZING and had a nice kick to it! I had the Shrimp and Grits and added crawfish to it. It was too bland for my liking even after adding salt and pepper. My husband had the fish and chips and it was good. For dessert, we had the bread pudding and it was good. We tried two cocktails each and they were all great! Our waiter, Ben, was amazing, and the manager stopped by to see how everything went. First time here - friend's suggestion. Flavorless Salmon had bones - told waitress - she said "sorry" - nothing else. Would have been nice for a manager to come at that point. Side of veggies was good. Chicken Marsala only passable, can make better myself; steak strip salad and mac n cheese bites were good. Friends got lasagna and tortilla soup. They liked theirs, but didn't like the Italian sausage. Asked waitress for more of the marsala gravy as mashies had none (even though I ordered it with some on top). She brought me a side of cream gravy (not Marsala) - what?? Green beans were good. Peach cobbler tasted good, but more of a crusty peach pie. Banana pudding was just ok - had better. Desserts were way too big, could be eaten by four people. Waitress was not very attentive - and after she ran the check, we never saw her again. We use to Love going to Republic Grill but recently on weekends we go in early 5:40pm and are told it's a hour and half wait and there are a lot of empty seats? I guess they hold tables for reservations? Does that make sense! Guess we will have to find another spot. read more

Took my friend out for lunch to celebrate her recent engagement & she chose here. We started off with a bottle of Prosecco. It was probably one of my favorites and the only thing I enjoyed here. We shared the wings and they were decent. I had the chicken fried chicken with the bacon jalapeño mac and cheese, & broccoli. The chicken could've had some more flavor in my opinion. My friend said she enjoyed her pork chop though. We shared the tres leches - it could've been a bit more moist and soaked in leche. We had a fun family night out at The Republic Grille! The atmosphere was great and really set the tone for the evening. We kicked things off with appetizers (mac n' cheese bites and caprese salad) and those were a hit--definitely the highlight of the meal. For mains, we ordered the chicken fried chicken with broccoli and mashed potatoes, Greek salad with chicken, and gumbo. They were okay, but nothing that really stood out compared to how good the apps were. Dessert was the chocolate brownie lava cake. The brownie with ice cream was super tasty, but the "lava" part wasn't really flowy like you'd expect. Still, it hit the sweet spot. Shoutout to our server Scott--he was awesome! Super attentive and easy to chat with, which made the whole night better. We just moved to Spring and don't yet have a tribe of friends who can make recommendations for us, so we searched on likely locations and made reservations at Republic Grill in Spring. The atmosphere is nice, not too loud but not too laid back either. We were seated promptly and our server came by for the initial meet and greet and to grab us drinks. (I think his name was Andy). He was super friendly and helpful, happy to discuss the menu which he knew backwards and forwards. He was also very kind in making other suggestions of places we might want to try (both food and non food places). We asked for his recommendations and what we ordered was delish! People were dressed to the nines (Valentine's Day) but also in shorts and sweaters. Everybody was very pleasant. Went here for a girls meet up, just a walk in. One of my friend's first time going here. Wait was about 30 mins to sit inside so we opt to sit outside. Although it was raining it's covered so we were fine with sitting outside. We waited for about 10-15 mins for us to get a waiter. Our waitress was Tia, she wasn't very friendly or engaging when taking our order. she was very direct and to the point. Anyhow I got the Caprese as I've gotten before, it was fresh and delicious. Also got the jumbo wings but they were not fully done and the dipping sauce wasn't tasting like anything at all. We all had the wings and had the same sentiments on the taste and how it was done. I've been here before and had the same exact meal so hence why I got it again and I was dissatisfied. Also the music for outdoors was so loud we had a hard time hearing ourselves while conversing. They used to be (less than 6 months ago) perfect and among the best items on the menu every time I went; now they're half the size they used to be, shriveled up, and noticeably more greasy. Used to they could barely fit the 8 bites+ranch in the togo container and there was no space leftover, now the same togo container with the same 8pc+ranch is half empty and the bites are shriveled up and greasy. I made reservations (recommend for peak times!) and despite a crowded waiting zone, we were seated immediately. The food was amazing; everyone at our table of 4 (BLAT with onion rings, pasta , blackened trout, and shrimp with spinach salad) was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The best part? It was just enough; didn't need any doggy bags. Except for birthday dessert. We were celebrating three birthdays (mine included), but everyone was so full that nobody else wanted dessert...and wanted to go home. Went to Republic while we were visiting family in Spring TX. The food was very good I enjoyed the onion soup, grandson really liked his chicken fried steak. My husband had the top chop and he said his pork chop was really good. We had a lemons drop & old fashion which were very good. Grandson had iced tea and his glass was kept filled. Sunday 5:30 dinner. Made a reservation and was running late but I called and they were very nice and changed my reservation for 30 mins later. Plenty of parking and staff, plenty of bar space if you just want a drink. Multiple TVs and can see from all seats. They also had a solo musician playing. Over all noise level was moderate and didn't have any problem hearing and talking. Place was pretty full when we arrived but were greeted and seated promptly. Menu had a lot of choices and my date ordered a chicken and penne pasta dish, I ordered the shrimp and grits. My dish was really good (8 out of 10) but not as good as other places I have had shrimp and grits but still enjoyed. The only bad thing to say about my visit is that their sweet tea had an odd taste. Cannot figure out exactly why but either it's the brand of tea they use or maybe they use unsweet tea and add simple syrup or something other. O my goodness this place is legit. Staff is all friendly and super attentive. Super cool and laid back vibe. Saw people in a coat and tie and also had t shirts and comfy shorts.
