Woodlands Salmon, asparagus and jalapeño bacon Mac and cheese
    April K.

Another amazing dinner at my favorite restaurant! My Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was great. The Woodlands Salmon was cooked to perfection along with the asparagus (I saved the jalepeno bacon Mac for a later indulgence). The service was excellent. I can't say enough about the Republic Grill locations up here!

Wedge Salad, very shareable and delicious

Yes yes yes! Only a few minor discrepancies for our visit. Smoked wings were just okay and service was a bit slow. Everything else was a hit from the kitchen & bar. Drinks - old fashioned had 2 and they tasted amazing, not too sweet and still taste the whiskey...it also did have me staying a little longer to allow the buzz to wear off. Food Wedge Salad - big enough for us 4 to share, loved it, not sure why so many restaurants don't serve this salad, one of my favorites and pretty simple. Gumbo - meaty and very good Smoked wings - lacked a little flavor Flounders were both great - prefer the blackened one, though it did come on the small side, you can't tell from under the seafood sauce. Sides enjoyed both green beans and mac.

We were looking for somewhere to eat in the Spring area and we decided to check this restaurant out. The parking is free and the restaurant is nice. They have a patio area but it was too cold to eat outside. We came at a great time because we were seated immediately, without a reservation, and then it got crowded. The host was good and explained today's special to us before our waiter came. We started with the Chips & Queso with ground beef and it was AMAZING and had a nice kick to it! I had the Shrimp and Grits and added crawfish to it. It was too bland for my liking even after adding salt and pepper. My husband had the fish and chips and it was good. For dessert, we had the bread pudding and it was good. We tried two cocktails each and they were all great! Our waiter, Ben, was amazing, and the manager stopped by to see how everything went. Overall, it was a good experience.

Can't believe I haven't left a review yet!! This is our regular place for Friday night dinner!!! The staff is attentive and friendly! I don't think you can go wrong with anyone here... Adam, Craig, Ed, Colin, Katie, Carson, just to name a few! Service is always on point here, as is the food! My favorite is the TRG Top Chop with the cornbread and broccoli!!! Do yourself a favor and dine here!!! You won't be disappointed!!!

Took my friend out for lunch to celebrate her recent engagement & she chose here. We started off with a bottle of Prosecco. It was probably one of my favorites and the only thing I enjoyed here. We shared the wings and they were decent. I had the chicken fried chicken with the bacon jalapeño mac and cheese, & broccoli. The chicken could've had some more flavor in my opinion. My friend said she enjoyed her pork chop though. We shared the tres leches - it could've been a bit more moist and soaked in leche. I'm all for giving restaurants a second chance so I may come back but not in the near future.

Went here for a girls meet up, just a walk in. One of my friend's first time going here. Wait was about 30 mins to sit inside so we opt to sit outside. Although it was raining it's covered so we were fine with sitting outside. We waited for about 10-15 mins for us to get a waiter. Our waitress was Tia, she wasn't very friendly or engaging when taking our order. she was very direct and to the point. Anyhow I got the Caprese as I've gotten before, it was fresh and delicious. Also got the jumbo wings but they were not fully done and the dipping sauce wasn't tasting like anything at all. We all had the wings and had the same sentiments on the taste and how it was done. I've been here before and had the same exact meal so hence why I got it again and I was dissatisfied. Also the music for outdoors was so loud we had a hard time hearing ourselves while conversing. I did say I'd come back here after my first experience but now I'm iffy.

Chicken fried steak was more breading than steak
    John R.

After dropping off the food, we never saw our waitress so had to finish the meal without anything to drink. The tea was more ice than drink so ran out of tea quickly. I tried getting someone working there attention but everyone seemed to be in their own world. The chicken fried steak was more breading than steak (see picture included). I ended up eating one of my mother's fried fish filets since there was not much steak in my meal.

I come to this Republic girl multiple times a month if not every other week I get the same thing almost every single time. I've had a few issues with my steak not being well done but I know that that is a odd request so I don't hold it against them, but today took the cake as one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I originally placed an order for a kids sirloin well done with mac & cheese when I got there and got my food. It was just a order of fries. The server told me there was a misunderstanding when the order was taken, so I offered just to bring it back when I did. I was met to the manager telling me that they had it on video the steak going into the box pretty much looking for me to confess something? Even though it easily could've just been picked up as the wrong box I'm not quite sure what happened here, but the overall experience made me feel very uncomfortable even though the food was remade I received poor quality food, and it did not meet the well done standard I appreciate the original server and her patience and I understand that working in the service industry and in the restaurant business is not easy but for someone who is so loyal to come back all the time this experience definitely sealed the deal as my last visit

Actually, they have a good size menu and have some American options along with juices and smoothies so It made ordering easy. They also have a full bar with several cocktails and mocktails. Inside right when you enter is the actual bar with about 6 seats which were full with customers during my entire visit. Their happy hour ends at 6pm, but I arrived at 7pm so I ended up missing the discounted drinks. I ordered the cod and shrimp pita which ended up being slightly different than the regular gyro. I had to set it down after a couple of bites since the wheat pita bread is much thinner than regular pita bread and it kept falling apart on me. I also added a mango mojito. With a name like Island Grill, I sort of expected to see more tropical drinks or rum-based cocktails show up on the menu, but this was about the only one. Overall, my experience was okay, but I don't know if it was good enough for me to return.

Giant Pretzel: 100/10, so good n hot! Egg rolls - Buffalo Egg Roll: 5/10, mac wasnt all that and just tasted plain. Birria Egg Roll: 9/10, it was yummyy. Brisket Egg Roll: 8/10, if it wasnt cut in half, it probably wouldve been a lil better ngl but otherwise its pretty good. Wings - Bone in: Lemon pepper 10/10, Garlic Parm 10/10, Boneless - Garlic parm boneless: 7/10 (i like bone in better) Burgers - The House: 12/10, juicy and fries are super good. Woodsons: 9/10, i love the bacon jam on it w the onions, it was just a lot for me. Smash Burger: 4/10, it was more expensive then the actual burger for a smaller, smashed burger. it wasnt allat and i wouldn't rlly get it again tbh. Tacos - Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos: 8.8/10, it was gooodd and i think evb should try it. Birria Tacos: 10000/10, my go to! i love these and there are the hands down best birria tacos in my opinion. i get mine in light cheese, cause its a lot of cheese to me. Pasta and Fish - Cajun Pasta: 3/10, not rlly cajun to me... its no spice at all but its okay i think. Coconut shrimp: 8.5/10, its good! A very well earned 5 stars for one of my new favorite restaurants in The Woodlands!…read more I've always been intrigued by Bosscat, but never had the opportunity to visit. My husband surprised me with brunch here last weekend and it was everything I hoped it would be. The vibe is elite. I love the way this restaurant is decorated. It was such a good ambiance & I bet it would be a great date night spot. The food was incredible. I have a favorite restaurant in Las Vegas that makes the most amazing beignets with lemon curd. I can confidently say that Bosscat leveled up and blew that favorite out of the water. If there's one thing you take away from this review, let it be that ordering the beignets is necessary. The toasted marshmallow and lemon they're served with elevate them so much. They're delicious! There were so many things on the menu we'd love to try. I'm very excited to come back and try their different menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the year!

DJ was spinning tunes inside but we opted for outdoor seating on their covered patio as it was a nice day. I gotta say I had some trepidation given our CM's earlier experiences here. But everything turned out just fine on our visit. First off I love that everything on the menu is under $20. That means we can order more. I was a bit worried that out steak and eggs would be tough because I ordered it medium rare and it came out more medium well. It's even cut already so they should've been able to tell how well done it was. But it was still tender which is actually all I really cared about. The Holy Smoked Benedict is not your traditional eggs Benedict. Instead of ham they have slices of pork belly. And it's served on a crispy biscuit (I could taste the crunch) with potatoes with a poached egg on top just like a regular Benedict. My only comment would be a little too many potatoes for my particular liking, but you can just brush them off. With the money we saved we got the beignets. They come in a sack of 5 and with a Meyer lemon curd on top side for dipping that has a dollop of melted marshmallow cream on top. They aren't traditional beignets but are really small biscuits. They tasted hot and fresh, and were nice and fluffy regardless, which again is all I really cared about. Cold water comes in an old whisky bottle and is left at your table so you can pour as much as you want when you want. I really wish more restaurants did this. The place is also now on the InKind app so make sure you sign in and pay with the app if you do that kind of stuff. InKind is free and has occasional offers that make dining even more affordable.

The brisket sliders were tender and flavorful, the wings were great, the pickled peppers were a nice touch, and the ribs were finger-licking good.
