It's been a while since I've come here. I stopped as it was on my way back home from an appointment on that side of town. I forgot how great the home cooking food is here. I couldn't understand why you didn't have a better rating. Yes sometimes the weight is a little long but today it wasn't. I got the grits. I got the sausage biscuits and gravy and it didn't disappoint. The biscuits are so soft and I love white gravy and I'm very picky about it so again did not disappoint. Coffee is good here for those who are a coffee snob like myself. I actually had 2 cups. It's so funny because we can't ever remember the name of this place because we've always called it. The rooster place. When you see the giant rooster out front, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. I highly recommend it. It's a little cute country place tucked in the corner.

I was in the area searching for a simple place to eat some good breakfast food and stumbled upon this place. Being fully transparent, I looked at the outside and it gave me that country, country feel so I had second thoughts, but hunger overrode my thought process and I stopped. Now before I walk towards and open the door, I am looking through the windows at a couple of patrons. I open the door a few people look at me, I look at them and they continue eating and conversating. At this time, I am at the hostess location and she comes from the back smiling and offered a very Texas Good Morning. I am seated at a table near the front window. I did not have anything to worry about, the other patrons seemed easy going and my server was energetic. Unfortunately, after I drank half my coffee and took two bites of food I had to leave for an unexpected appointment, but before going I told myself if the food tasted that good after two bites I need to order some more so in addition to my food being packaged I ordered another breakfast meal for the following day to save time. Breakfast was very satisfying for the next two mornings.

The breakfast place is a small diner setting that stays busy. It's open from breakfast to brunch hours, is you like to sleep in but still want breakfast. The food to me was average, but it didn't blow me away as anything special. The bacon, eggs and toast were good. The hashbrowns were bland and very chopped up. I am a potato lover and that's the only thing I did not eat on my plate. They do offer a wide array of breakfast options. Would I wait for a spot just to eat here when it's busy? Probably not.

Quaint breakfast spot that reminded me of home cooked meals and breakfast at Grandma's house! They provide a cute breakfast nook ambiance complete with rooster and diner decor! I love their build your own omelette plate because they had a good variety of options available to add. Their patty sausage was amazing and the hash browns hit the spot. I was also pleasantly surprised by the affordability of many dishes. Parking onsite - although parking might be more difficult on the weekends/early mornings. Do note that they close at 2pm! If you're looking to add a new go-to breakfast spot, this is the place!

This place is a hidden gem! Just look for the GIANT ROOSTER in front! Despite the bustling atmosphere, it's clear why there's always a crowd. The popularity is a testament to their quality. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an energetic vibe that sets the tone for a great experience. The food/service lives up to the hype. Love the pancakes and chicken fried steak...can't forget the grits!! Homemade comfort food :) While you might have to wait for a table, it's well worth it. The busy nature of the place ensures everything is fresh and the staff is on their toes. If you're looking for a lively spot that locals clearly love, this is it.

Sausage egg and cheese burrito with hash browns.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. They had knowledge of there menu down to a science. The place was like a true southern brunch home cooking restaurant. We walked in with a large group and we're greeted immediately with a smile and pleasant conversation. My table got 2 steak breakfasts, one big stack of pancakes and I got a sausage egg and cheese burrito with hash browns. It was all delicious.

Ordered pancakes, bacon, and a side of hash browns to go. The server was friendly but got an uncomfortable stare from most patrons as I walked in. The food was cold and wasn't very good. I found the pancakes to be a bit gummy and the hash browns completely free of seasoning. The price point was well over $20 for the meal. I won't return.

Eggs Benedict

My wife and I came here for breakfast one day. Been wanting to try them for a while. They were busy, a good sign. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict with avocado and I ordered the Philly, hold the onions and peppers. Both were prepared well and were delicious, although my wife would prefer the hash browns crispier ( I agree ). Overall a good experience, we will be back.

I-45 Diner - Grilled Chicken Dinner With green beans and Mac n Cheese

My husband and I went for the first time a couple weeks ago after church and it was great!…read more My husband had a chorizo and egg taco, potatoes and egg taco, and the bacon and egg taco. I tried each one and these tacos reminded me of my hometown! The chorizo was the best one. I ordered a side of hash browns and strawberry cheesecake pancakes. Let me start with the hashbrowns first of all they were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside honestly, the best hashbrowns I've ever had. I added a little ketchup and some pepper and it was a 10 out of 10. Don't get me started on the pancakes. I literally felt like I was eating a strawberry fluffy cheesecake. It was so good. I did not want to stop eating them, but they were amazing and since I didn't finish them, I brought them home and left them in the fridge and ate them the next day and it's like I was literally eating cake. So delicious. One thing to know about going to this place is it does get pretty packed in the morning. The service isn't too fast, but it's understandable because they do have a lot of customers in there so just keep that in mind but other than that, everybody was really nice and very welcoming. Also, it's really nice and clean in there a little crowded but clean. Overall, I think you should definitely get this place a try. I definitely need to go again to try the other items.

We got told by a young black lady that she would clean it in just a minute. Well she did take the dishes off the table and we were able to sit but she took another 5-7 minutes to actually get back to the table to clean it. She kept getting side tracked by either taking dishes off other tables, talking to other servers or putting something into a computer. I finally asked another server if we could get the table cleaned and the lady finally showed back up and began cleaning it. It was pretty dirty and sticky so my husband made the comment that the table was pretty nasty and needed a firmer cleaning and this lady went off on him saying "no one told you to sit here if it was nasty, you didn't have to sit down here. That was your choice" and all in a very rude, condescending tone. We got up and left. There was no need for the attitude from her considering we were very patient waiting and there were at least 5 tables just left with plates and cups that were not clean. We weren't the only people waiting for a table to be cleaned. We've been long time customers of this place but we are never going back. My husband called the manager just after we left and said the same and she told us "good luck finding another place, have a nice day " and hung up. No apology for what was said. It wouldn't surprise me if the person cleaning lied to the manager and said we said something crude to her when we literally said a hand full of words and joked with her and she took it the wrong way and got rude with us. NEVER COMING BACK.

If a place has french fries, he's in. And I'd heard that Tony's was one of the best places to grab a burger in the area, so everybody wins here. I had the Juicy Tony and it was a solid burger. It's noted on the menu that is must be served medium rare, no exceptions - that's my preferred temperature anyway, so it was perfect for me. It was indeed juicy and tender. The cajun fries were a nice pairing. We enjoyed our experience overall. Was it a top notch, amazing burger? I wouldn't go that far, but it did its job and I'm happy we came and tried it out.

At least not enjoy spending it. But with prices these days getting way out of hand what can you do. I got the rattlesnake because I saw it touted as their award winning burger. Not sure from where the award came. But this and their trash can tacos had the emblem next to it. You also get a veggie pack with your to-go burger which has chopped lettuce, pickles, raw onions and 2 slices of tomatoes. That's nice so you don't have to put on the required latex gloves to use their veggie bar to get these yourselves. It's in a separate bag. I thought this was the buger at first and was secretly getting a bit concerned when I saw the cook toss it onto the counter like a bean bag. The cashier was super nice. He offered me water as I waited. They had another guy working in the back cooking the food. You also get a thimble of ketchup in your Togo bag along with a packet of mustard and mayo. The bun was a little burnt. And I couldn't taste any of the mixed in jalapeños. Also I kinda wish they had whole lettuce rather than chopped just because it kept falling out of the burger. But other than these issues the burger was pretty tasty. Definitely not a McDonald's burger like one person posted. But also not the best burger ever as many other posters swear by. Definitely glad I went. But don't know if I'd be willing to spend another $20 on one of their Burgers either. They're closed on Sundays according to Google maps which is old school nice to see.
